Delos crew, you're such an inspiration. Your drone shots of this anchorage took my breath away and brought tears to my eyes. Y'all are a big part of why our family is at the beginning of our circumnavigation. Thanks. And may our adventure rival yours!
The dive wasn’t much with minimal fish, but the cliffs, caves and you can tell how the rock pushed up out of the ground. I do Harley trips and I also watch the weather, but not like you, I just want to stay dry. The girl with the ancient, I just love that.
I ran across your sailing videos this morning for the first time. I watched an episode and fell in love with your lifestyle! I immediately subscribed. I LOVE the water, diving and snorkeling. I wish I could live like you two. I LOVE your videos especially when you're swimming in the tropics; thanks for sharing them =). I don't think my husband would be willing to sell everything we own in order to buy a boat though, although I myself would. You're a beautiful couple with a precious, beautiful little girl.
Fantastic! You guys are experiencing the best of the best. When you're old, with an eye patch and a peg leg, you'll have a deep sea of great memories. Cheers!!
The drone shot beginning at 13:10 is mesmerizing. The slow reveal of the lush green landscape above the boat is one of the most beautiful pieces of footage I’ve seen on the Delos channel. Thank you!
Besides the obvious beautiful things about every single video one thing i really dig is the background music selections. I always find myself drumming my hands or nodding my head while i watch lol. Love me some Delos!!!❤
Rueben now has direction in his life. He has been lucky to get a taste of Delos and the sailing life. Now he has to figure out how to achieve this if it is what he wants. Remember SV Delos did not materialize out of thin air. Captain Brian worked hard to be in this position. It did not just appear one day. These folks are still working every day to make it happen. These folks are sailing on a very seaworthy vessel and know what they are doing. Many of us looking at them don't know that. :) Sail on Reuben. Savor the experience.
Absolutely drop dead f'n gorgeous anchorage above and below the water. I remember the Instagram post a few months ago and now I get to see more - WOW WOW WOW!
take a piece of garden hose and cut it to length so you can run your anchor line through it to go around the rocks and the line wont chafe while tied around any rocks. awesome video guys and girls.
The piano bar track was a nice divergence from your normal music choices. Then Alex voice over during the segment had so much audio appeal. Nice job. A+!
That, my friends, was an epic video. i have always dreamed of traveling the oceans, but your videos have made it a major priority in my life. Thank you.
What an entertaining crew. Never a dull moment! By far, the best coverage of some of the islands (little known) hidden secrets. It's just fun to follow interesting ppl, with adventurous spirits, that seem to experience things with an almost childlike wonderment (no offense). Wishing you all continued success and luck on your future travels! Thx for sharing !!
Amazing. Hard to say which was more visually impressive, the crazy tree hanging to that fin to your port at anchor, or boating into that narrow cave. Intense.
I almost got dizzy at the 4:00 minute mark. lol What an amazing place to anchor! And those AERIAL shots ! ! ! Man-O-Man! As a hang glider pilot, I can actually (and easily) put myself there flying my glider.
Best Delos episode I have seen in a while, Senior Brady without. mustache??? Looking sharp man keep it that way for a while, great cave footage and the music in this episode is banging, thank you for keeping this channel 100%
I've got one but it requires some very technical equipment and one almost spiritual influence of an item so what you need then is a rope and a tree so all you got to do is take said rope and tie it around said tree and bingo you are a technician wow am I an ass or what?
Ahoy Delos, Nice to see you back sailing again. Time in harbor is important for sure; cleaning, editing, posting and exploring but getting back moving again has got to be rewarding. Delos IS the 'Pot of Gold" at the end of the rainbow! Best wishes, fair winds and following seas in the New Year! ------- STARS ------- If you are recording video after sunset, and have good luck with clear skies, you might catch Venus and the Moon. Venus is often mistaken as a UFO because it gets so bright. Binoculars add to the view. Bright Venus (the 'Evening Star'), now well above the sunset twilight, is the lone, very bright point of light above the western horizon. It sets a few hours after the Sun. Currently, Venus is getting higher each successive night as it comes around from behind the Sun (superior conjunction). It will continue to get higher until March 24, 2020 when it reaches 46 degrees east of the Sun. It will achieve it's greatest illumination on April 27th, 2020. Venus will pair nicely with the waxing crescent Moon in successive months on the evenings of Jan 27th & 28th, Feb 25th & 26th, March 27th & 28th and April 25th & 26th (a good one!). Venus will then begin to descend quickly in the month of May to have it's final conjunction with both the Moon and Mercury on May 23rd & 24th, before disappearing into the sunset around June 1st. It then passes in front of the Sun (inferior conjunction) to become the 'Morning Star', slowly rising each day in the eastern twilight before sunrise, come early June and on through the rest of the year 2020. Jupiter and Saturn are still on the far side of the Sun for now, but will soon begin to rise in the eastern morning skies. Jupiter leads the way by about an hour and then Saturn will follow. Come February, they'll both be well up before dawn and will get one degree higher each day. Follow them all year long as they close in on each other for a 'Grand Conjunction' on Dec 21, 2020 (Northern Winter Solstice), and by then be in the evening sky. These Grand Conjunctions happen only every 20 years, so it's worth it to follow along now. www.skyandtelescope.com/observing/sky-at-a-glance/ ...
Seattle ! I wasn't aware of the boats home dock I'm ready to crew up next docking 🌬️💨⛵🙏🏻 ..... Dreams can happen over here on the puget sound NORTH WEST LOVE safe passages 🤟🏼
thanks you all for a fantastic video the camera work under water and on top and to see drone footage tops it all. thanks for the voyage from New Zealand.
Nice video U people R so lucky to make such a trip and living like KINGS(and Queen) with these surroundings !! Don't forget to Thank your GOD !!! (In case U got one) See U later !!
At the end Reuben becomes your Leprechaun ;) That was an amazing anchorage, and those drone shots should be sent to Brian and fam., that will get him anxious to get back on the boat! Said it before you got back in there though, would run a stern line to the rocks..then you did! The dive was beautifully filmed as usual, but watch those eels, a friend was diving with a group, someone filmed like that, then 1 came out and even though he was just in the area, it attacked his arm..he still has the scar.
In Norway I/we commonly use a stern anchor and tie up to rocks with 1-2 stern shore lines. It's the best way to get step-off access to steep rocks (which is 99% of the shore) while especially protecting the rudder(s). It's therefore common to carry a set of rock anchors/pegs/bolts, a sturdy hammer, and if needed some chain (to avoid chaffing). Have no idea why I seldom see this set up on YT sailing channels.
What an amazing anchorage the dive then ride in the cave really great 👍 Thanks so much for all the stuff you produce, very professional. Love from South Africa
I love your guys videos!! I’m taking a sailing class and my uncle and I are buying a 1980 Sadler 32! I’m freakin stoked. I live in Kansas so there isn’t much sailing but surprisingly some sailing exists here lol thanks for the amazing videos!
These videos captured a very special and magical time in these lives everyone will remember forever.

This season has been the best cinematography of all... The videos are works of art... You guys rock...

Wow, those sweeping drone shots starting at 9:40! They rank top 5 in all of Delos' history IMHO. Just absolutely breathtaking.
WHOA!!! the color of that water is insane!!! looks like an incredible anchorage, to bad you couldnt stay longer. Man those colors...

10 out of 10 Delos Crew. Well done. It all worked. Even better the 2nd time through. You gettin good at this!!

Good call keeping such an eye on the weather and getting out in time!

All I can say is WOW, what an anchorage. Too bad you didn't have more time there. That cave was amazing!
Another awesome edit Alex and Brady. What a cool anchorage. Inspiration as I camp out at the boatyard while whittling down the project list.

There is really perfect anchorage place. So special and I like like this advantures. Happy days ❤️
Super cool to see a technical anchoring evolution with a ground anchor like this. Would love a vid on these more complex anchoring techniques!
I've got one but it requires some very technical equipment and one almost spiritual influence of an item so what you need then is a rope and a tree so all you got to do is take said rope and tie it around said tree and bingo you are a technician wow am I an ass or what?
Just one more Year in university and then my friends and I will attempt to sail around the world. Seeing this I can´t wait to get going.
