- People have been arguing for AGES about who the next Super Smash Bros Ultimate Fighter Pass DLC challenger is. You can find all sorts of different opinions out there, but these are the most likely ones I have settled on after a lot of research and creating countless videos on the topic. Here's to me being just as wrong as everyone else.

@@IcyDiamond no just the nature of his statement. He doesn’t say explicitly that they must *originate* from a game. Rather he said “Basically Smash will only have Video Game content”. It’s a subtle difference but it makes it more ambiguous.

Galacta knight's theme is not in ultimate and the same thing happened with sephiroth, one winged angel wasn't in the game and it came along with sephiroth and i know there was some legal stuff involving the final fantasy 7 sound track but there is no such trouble with kirby music, plus there are rumors/theories of a bonus fighter and his trailer could be a continuation/reboot of sephiroth's trailer by cutting galeem by half and his theme playing which i think is called srtongest in the galaxy which could be the name of his trailer and finally super star ultra released in 2008 and the last kirby newcomers were in 2008 and my point is that i feel galacta knight might come before or after bandana dee and magolor should also come to represent modern kirby but CROWNED is in the game so i feel he is less likely as much as i want him but i would love all three of them

The Wario series in general is severely underrepresented in my opinion. Spirits and music are both limited. We didn't even get any new tracks from WarioWare or Wario Land. I'm really hoping another WarioWare character can fix that.

My five picks would be,
1. Ragna from Blazblue. Blazblue is a really popular fighting game series and out of all the fighting game characters, I think he just has the best chance. (Chance 5/10)
2. Crash Bandicoot. Do I really need to explain. (Chance 9/10)
3. Tails. I do think assist trophies de-confirm characters so with Knuckles and Shadow being assist trophies, I think Tails has the best chance. (Chance 7/10)
4. Shante. She's a really popular indie character who is heavily requested, heck she even has a spirt. (Chance 7/10)
5. Sigma from the Mega Man series. I think it's safe to say that the Mega Man series should get another character. Bass and Proto Man would play too similar, same with X. And Wily and Zero are assist trophies, so Sigma is honestly the best chance at a new Mega Man character (Chance 4/10)
I really would love to see Dr.Eggman and Crash as DLC's

Sora from kingdom hearts. He’s been in multiple different Nintendo games and he’s extremely popular, ranking 1st in Japan for most wanted and 2nd in America. And then one last Pokémon. The final we are missing. A 3rd evolution grass starter, sceptile. Fast, with good hit boxes and no tail hurtbox, for an instant top tier bad ass 💯
Being popular doesn't matter, why are yall acting like being popular is a reason why the character should get in smash?
@@thebowserdude let me explain this in simpler terms for you, my simpleton. The more popular a character is, the more people who play, and or, are fans of smash want the character in the game. Meaning, most people, except for simpleton minorities such as yourself, want that specific character in the game. Sora tops every list, has multiple games on Nintendo platforms, and is another Square Enix character. The only people who don’t want sora are the actual minority of the community. I also picked sceptile because we need a 3rd gen final evo starter to complete the rounds. And lastly shadow the hedgehog as a bonus character because sonic needs another rep or two and shadow is badass. Easy enough to understand?

A. Modern day Activision would charge LESS money for a more in demand Crash or

Knuckles hasn't been with Sonic since the beginning he first showed up in Sonic 3, the only character other than Sonic who has been there since game one is Dr Eggman

7:50 I really don't mean to be the "bad guy" but I wouldn't say that crash is a 10/10 because seeing as how every time smash fans predict Crash.It's not the character that was not on their radar.Sure you could say that Banjo got in since he was heavily speculated but that was during the smash 4 days and the reason why he was chosen in the first place was because of the smash ballot which was to determine what characters fans wanted to see hence the majority's of ultimate's base roster was chosen.This includes characters like King k. Rool, Ridely, Banjo and Kazooie, and many others.If there is one reason why Crash would be chosen so not because of him being "iconic" in the gaming industey but because of his fan demand (which started in early 2019) keeps his fanbase striving as a whole but since the both first and second pass was decided and that the smash ballot was already utilized for the base game and one for dlc, I say it be a bit too new for Nintendo to understand the fan demand.Now some would ask what point I am trying to get across.The point I am trying to get across is that doesn't mean the that is talked alot in the smash doesn't mean that they are going to get in and I say it is best to keep low expectations.Now to clarify a few thing, this is just my pure speculation and I could be absolutely wrong but I just wanted to share my 2 cents on the matter.

E3 2021 better show up the final 2 characters and a brand new adventure mode like Subspace Emissary. Not like the World of Light.
Another story mode but with every DLC character and more theatrical cutscenes would be extremely exciting to see

Then how can you explain of how Sephiroth kills Galeem with just one slash.
So that means there’s a hint that a new DLC story mode might coming soon.
7:50 you must be setting yourself for disappointment if you believe that crash is 100% going to be in smash. Him being relevant doesn't mean that he is likely, a character being popular doesn't matter at all, that is an invalid argument. Also I want to point out how every smash speculation video only talks about relevant characters and doesn't even mention currently obscure characters like Porky Minch or Ayumi Tachibana, and they don't even mention characters that people wanted even BEFORE smash ultimate was announced like Paper Mario or Black shadow or Mach rider or another character that I forgot the name of, you smash speculators only talk about relevant characters and you don't understand that a character being popular isn't automatically likely, and there are obscure characters that are even MORE likely than the relevant ones and the lack of obscure characters in smash speculation makes me angry. Also crash may not get in smash because like sora, crash would already be there at this point, and he would be one of the very first dlc fighters to be announced

Totally agree - I’ve wanted shadow as a unique fighter since sonic was added. For anyone not sure how shadow is unique, check out his moveset in SB on the gba. Also smash flash 2 mod by znx, and smash legacy xp.
I think sol badguy has a perfect shot since he's from guilty gear. And he is not a tv series character.plus just because he is an anime swordsman doesn't mean he holds his sword like other swordsmen. He he holds it backwards.even though he is a gimmick of terry,ryu,and ken, his forward smash would be gun flame. Then his final smash would be dragon install.he would have an alternative outfit which is order sol.that is all i have to say about sol badguy.

Sora and Heavy weapons guy are both very unlikely since Sora is a DISNEY character and Heavy is from Valve which I doubt Nintendo even had negotiations with.

Unpopular Opinion: I've never really been a fan of Crash Bandicoot. Nor have I been interested in getting into his stuff. In fact I haven't even thought about him until someone brought him up over a year ago for me.
I'd much rather perfer a character like Shadow, Knuckles, or Alucard to be added into the game
Well I have never heard of banjo and kazooie until their smash speculation, yet I was happy he was in, because I believe he deserved it, being his popularity on the n64. At some point you have to swallow your pride and understand that just because you never were a fan of a character, it dosent mean that they are not deserving of a spot in smash.

Basically it's difficult for *Sakurai* to get an all clear because *Sora* is not associated with just 1 company like most other characters in the game are. Basically it's not just a gaming company he has to go through but also a larger company who's rights he isn't exclusively authorized or familiar with so they can pull strings. Just a different industry i guess that's a better way to put it.

I could see scorpion in the game, but i'm sure the smash bros developement team would have to make scorpion be like bayonetta, where they have to change the esrb rating of the character to be family friendly, but i'm sure he would be fun to play, especially with comand controlls like ryu/ken or terry

I would want Eggman, I like him and the whole inclusion of villains in Ultimate is great. Two of my favorite Ultimate characters are K Rool and Sephiroth, villians new in Ultimate.

Here's a pick for sonic that could work, and I thinks it's metal sonic. I know most people think that he's just a sonic clone but he was actually created by eggman to copy characters data and moves and use them as his own kinda like Kirby. But making him have every neutral b or side b from every fighter would be a lot a work so they could go with the android 21 from dbfz route. Whenever she uses an ability to copy someone she has a list of 6 moves she can get depending on the characters attack or beam. It could be like that for metal sonic where he can copy a characters data with say the b button and and get 1 of 6 items depending on that characters special move. He'd probably be as fast as sonic but heavier because hes you know, metal but he'd have some drawbacks so he's not like a op. But yeah I think out of every sonic character he would get in. Why I say that is because shadow and knuckles are already assist trophies and sakurai stated they can't get in, and tails doesn't really have a lot of moves besides simple things like flying and rolling. I think metal would be a perfect fit for smash even a better pick than eggman but nobody talks about him. His moveset is so vast and wide that they could easily make things like his forward air like wolf fair or bowser fair. "He's the perfect life form for smash"

Now I’m a little biased towards sword characters as that’s who I play as (Link, Cloud, Sephiroth, Byleth, Ike, Joker, Robin, and Pyra/Mythra are who I regularly play as) so I might list more sword characters than normal lol.

I think everyone is forgetting that after the midway point of dlc. Nintendo calms down a lot more with their picks. I do think we will get a fan request 3rd party at E3 but just know it isn’t going to be as big as everyone says it’ll be. I can’t see it be crash or doom guy or ryu hayabusa levels. More so rayman, sol bad guy, or lloyd irving levels. The in between of banjo and terry

I strongly believe that the final DLC character for Smash will not be some thug from an M-rated game, an additional Pokémon, a fringe character from a PC/Mobile game, or a certain DISNEY character.

I think a Pokémon Trainer for Legends has a really high chance (which would probably include Decidueye!).
Nightmare could have a Guts alt as a tribute to Kentaro Miura. That’b the first fourth party representation and the speculation flood gates would open like crazy.
