There's more Belarusian rubles under Janeks bed than a Belarusian drug dealer at this point
Soon he can start his own business 🤣🤣
Belarussian drug dealers probably only deal with USD or EUR, can't sell drugs for worthless paper.
You spoke perfect English but what the freeeeeak did you say
@@kissmeimcontagious57 I'm sure you can understand everything he wrote, since you can understand what xqc is saying
@@niksn022 was this comment necessary?
My brain was half asleep when reading the title and I thought it said "... we helped cheat tourists". I had to do a double take there really quickly haha!
I only understood it after reading your comment. Maybe they can still change the title.
Its supposed to be like that, its click bait
@@user-wk5xo4yd9h It's not clickbait though? I made a simple mistake.
Me too! LOL!!!
@@user-wk5xo4yd9h Its not clickbait "we helped cheat tourists" and "we helped cheated tourists" have completely opposite meanings
As a Romanian who’s living and paying taxes in Czech Republic, I feel ashamed about these specimens taking advantage on the laws and people.
"twenty euros, ia-i, ma!" :)))))
at this point the czechs should be ashamed for not dealing with these dudes after all these years, it's the same people over and over again....
One of the best people I met in Prague was Romanian. The only girl that would go out to the bars all night with me and drink coke. You know Valentina? She's gorgeous, hilarious and is definitely one of my favorite people I've ever met in my life!
@@SlosII you should look up crime in San Francisco. THAT'S something to be ashamed of. Prague isn't doing too bad buddy.

They do and they are worth absolutely nothing.

Hahahaha you can clip that up so nicely

Nice job you two

Janek woke up and chose violence. It really snapped the message into him and he was pliable like tissue paper after that.
Yeah Janek keep doing that 👍
Nah. The bike just needed to stand there.
He just tripped on his bike by mistake
@@JamesStocks It didn't look like so. He purposely pulled up his bike and slammed it in front of the scammer. Very cool, i must say.
@@sweet_amir Only to assert his seriousness, never to hurt others
I know the scammers are assholes, but WHY DO PEOPLE KEEP EXCAHNGING WITH RANDOM PEOPLE IN THE STREET? Be a smart person and you won't get scammed.
Absolutely agree. That’s why God gave us contactless card payments.
The scammer was surprisingly friendly and cooperative.😮
He knows there's no sense in fighting it. It's a minor disruption
No point fighting and risking getting jailed when he knows the police won't do crap about the scamming
@@blacksabbathbr They can't really do much about it, they would have to change the law. Or get an unit which would map activities of those guys for several months so they'd get enough evidence for organized crime charge.
@@blacksabbathbr It's the so-called decline of Europe, right there on stage, right there in full action...
I want someone to look at me the way Janek looks at expired belarusian rubles.
What the hell, dude has zero shame. It's like he's an old friend and he's happy to see you.
The way he reacts to you is honestly like you’re friends 😂
Lol, love the fact that he always just gives them hahaha
Well done Janek, but I really don’t get how these French tourists still fall for this stupid trick. The Czech Republic is part of the EU and the fact that it’s not using the Euro doesn’t mean that there is any way of legally getting a better deal by changing cash in the street from some random guy. This isn’t the 1980s, thank god. We have to assume that the tourists are just as greedy as the scammers, but less clever.
Sadly you are right...
Not necessarily greedy, just lazy. I know a lot of folks who are still surprisingly "old school" when it comes to traveling and are stubborn about their habits. Like insisting they have to take wads of USD (not just cash, specifically USD) everywhere. I'm like no, just use your credit card or withdraw from a ATM so you don't get hit with exchange fees twice. They don't me believe me. I've even heard the comment from someone planning to go to Japan, "but I need USD because Japanese yen is so bulky to bring" and I replied "uh you do know they have a 10,000 denomination that's worth about $70 so it's not that bad". Seriously.
I don’t think the guy was French. He didn’t have a French accent. His wife, maybe.
@@marmotsongs not every French person sounds like Pepe Le Pew
@@Carlos-M In a lot of the world, USD cash still rules. In much of Asia, large USD notes can be exchanged for close to the bank mid-rate, while ATMs rip you off with extra fees. (Thailand being one of the worst, with the ATM withdrawal fee for foreign cards being about 6USD.)
Exchanging money with a complete stranger that even looks dodgy.. WTF , how they didn't see that it had "scam" written all over it is beyond me.. 🤯😡
That same guy scammed me 10 years ago! Thank you Honest Guide! I hope to meet you one day in Praque to thank you in person and invite you to a traditional Trdelnik :D :D :D
😂he's still doing it after 10 years
the modern tourist heroes
It's insane how theres nothing that can be done do these cheaters. They just pay a fine, like a cost of doing business.
I guess if the police would care, that would be the angle:
The guy does not pay taxes on his profit.
You need to take it further Janek.
You need to become the VIOLENT GUIDE.
Just here to say that's my favorite channel, you guys are doing not only a great thing here in Prague but also you're sharing it and I'm sure that many people are more cautious about it now.
Thank you for your work! You are such a great help! What infuriates me is that the authorities still do absolutely nothing to stop these scammers from operating. Also more tourists should be careful and educate themselves about their destination before visiting! Again thank you for your work!🙏🏼Stay safe!
You do a tremendous service to Czechia and to the humanity! Kudos to that! Love your videos!
I... love/hate how these scammers are so chill with you, like, what.
If you watch some of his other videos, he has mapped all of their activities and knows all of them.
Good work, Janek and Honza! You guys are a real credit to your beautiful city! I hope this video will remind tourists not to change money on the street.
Janek, you never give up! :D Czech republic should be proud of you!
Thanks for all the tips! Going to Prague 10-15 April!
I cant anymore 😂. It is better like every comedy show. Continue with that ❤. Greetings from Germany next to Czech Border :)
This becomes like a friendly relationship between them where everyone accepts their role without complaint. When they meet, they greet each other, he takes the fake money from them, they go together to the police station, and see you next time.🤣🤣🤣 I think you guys should get recognition and a medal from the city and state, and we should all sign the petition for it if they don't see it themselves! Great job!
The way he asks which police he would prefer is so Janek!
You guys are absolute heroes!
the way you absolutely bully these guys is so good lmao i love this.
Nice job Honza.
Man!!!!! i watched already some videos you made and there is so much bs put there but you man... give me a little bit back hope , you helping real victims, you expose scamers and criminals , you a little real life hero!

if i ever visit prague one day it will be just for a cup of coffe and one small beer with you and your buddy as a brotherly solidarity with all the soul you are putting in to service locals and foreigners at the same time
Your government owes you so much. Thanks for the videos
Your videos want me to go to Prague whenever i get the chance! Thank you!
Dear Janek, it is very satisfying to watch your actions against those scammers. Thanks to you and Honza we now know who those crooks are and their way of scamming. I want to name you guys "Statecné Srdce", what means "Brave Heart".
Greatings from Holland and I hope to see you on my trip to your beautifull city soon.
You are an absolute legend!
I just got back from Prague a few days ago. I felt safe in your knowledge ❤
I would think the City of Prague would be embarassed that this kind of thing is happening when you find the scammers so quickly. Keep up the good work!!!
Good job again! But I really don't understand the naive tourists who are exchanging money from strange unreliable looking people. I would never ever trade my money that way, even without watching the Honest guide.
it is actually quite common in south american countries and countries where the currency exchange is very poor and there are two rates, official and black market, look into money dealers in argentina
It is the prejudices. They go to the “Eastern bloc shithole”, don’t know that we are rich developed country and think that this how you do business here
In some countries that is the way too go since the government there pegged their currency even tho it has been inflating. If you go to Argentina for example your money is actually worth at least twice as much as what the exchange office will tell you
This is so bizarre and amazing on so many levels.
This is just UNBELIEVABLE!!!!
Still baffles me why in the world anybody would ever exchange money from some random person off the street
What a legend, The scammer was immediately intimidated
You are a legend ❤
1:04 is a lovely snap into reality. Fed up with the bs.
Best Tourist Guide for prague,bravo❤
Guys, you are heroes!
That was awesome of you to do that.
This is so messed up. Just the fact that he is back in the streets like nothing happened is mind blowing to me.
Shouldn’t the tourist that got scammed go to the police station with you to make a complaint or something?
Not all heroes wear capes, but Janek and Honza wearing the real "honest" cape! Chapeau! Thanks for being just wonderful human beings :]
Love that you stopped the bike on him!!
Fun fact:
"pokuta" in polish mean "penance"
"пакута" (sounds like "pakuta") in Belarusian has a slightly different meaning: "a suffering" (eng.)
In Ukraine we don't have `pokuta` but there is a `spokuta`, means atonement (redemption).
Don't know why am I writing this, but I guess it's just time to write :)

I can’t wait to come and visit!
Janek just doing Janek-stuff for 24h straight 😂 Good job guys!
man I so wanna visit prague thanks to u guys
MORE BACKGROUND info please.
the scammer got fined, how much ?
why does he keep getting fined AND not put in prison ?
It's a bad law problem. When they scam below 10k crowns (which is basically always), It's only a misdemeanor and not criminal offence.
your a hero mate well done

Um. I see you must also be a racist then... It's not okay to use racial slurs even if it is towards a bad person.
racism is still not funny
Yeah I heard "bougnoule"
i was quite taken aback and wondered if someone else heard it… like… gross. maybe he deserved to be scammed… 💀
@@user-qx4jk8wu4mIn your moral world, scamming and using racisl slurs are on the same level?
Those change kiosks and ATM machines are the legal scammers!
This is so freaking frustrating. Why are they so free to do this without consequences??
That bike-block was badass. I had to roll it back.
Great work
would be nice to see a video from you guys about the border markets (Vietnamese I think) 😊
brillant great video amazing outcome
I'm surprised given how often you feature these people exchanging money but using the expired notes from a different country that the law hasn't caught up and made it a more serious offence.
It's ridiculous that they get a fine they're clearly not too worried about.
They're going to keep scamming people because the fine is clearly not enough for them to consider quitting.
There is this pattern in many Eastern and Central European countries that the law enforcement doesn't really like when "civilians" try to take the matters in their own hands. In my town there was an idea to create an official app that would help people to send the information about parking violations. You would only need to take a picture of the vehicle and all the other information would be filled in automatically and send to the nearest police station to investigate. The idea was shot down by the police itself because it would "leave too much space for violations".
So unless the problem leads to bad publicity for law enforcement of for municipal government nothing is being done.
Changig laws takes time and this is actually a pretty minor offence. I mean, ok, the tourists lose a few Euros (and have a story to tell when they get home), but it's not like somebody gets severely damaged or hurt. Those money scammers are mainly a nuisance. I'm not trying to defend them, they're still scamming people.
@@olgagicala7886 The problem with such an app would be that the police doesn't have enough manpower to investigate every violation they would receive that way, but still had to do that. That would block a lot of their resources. Here in Germany we have a moron who walks around basically doing just that, reporting every violation he sees (or thinks he sees), including for example an elderly man waiting inside of his car in a no parking zone for his (also elderly) wife to get into the car. The police in his city have received so many perceived violations by him that he's actually blocking emergency services and his reported violations have cost the tax-payers quite a lot of money, because whenever he reports something police (or emergency services, depending on what he reports) have to follow up on that report, very often without being able to either find the violation or charge anybody for the violation.
There are a few issues with that.
First, there is little political incentive. This pretty much entirely affects tourists, who do not have any political power. And On top of that, a LOT of locals would just say "stupid tourists got what was coming" (this is nothing against Czechs, but locals in tourist areas not dependent on tourists quite often do not like tourists).
Second, the amount of the fraud is pretty minimal, both on an individual basis and on a large scale. A tourist gets ripped off a hundred Euros isn't going to have the incentive to kick up a fuss (and has an incentive not to admit being ripped off by what should have been an obvious scam). And, on a national scale, you aren't talking about huge sums so it isn't enough to get a lot of people to care.
Third, doing something effective is far easier said than done. If they throw this guy out of the country, there is a lineup waiting to take his place and it won't have any real impact. Many people would look at that and go "why bother?" You also have to be careful in crafting new laws, these thresholds that they exploit exist for legitimate reasons and you don't want to mess up other things trying to end this.
To be clear, I am not saying they shouldn't do something. I am just saying that for the people who can do something, there isn't really reason for them to step up and do so.
If anything should be made illegal it is the dumbness of those kinds of tourists
Good job!
Honestly these misdemeanor should be accumulate each time they get taken by/to the police. And after some time it should be high enough so it changes from misdemeanor to a crime.
There is truly some magestic in your relations with the scammer. You know, he knows, police knows, everybody knows. And you just casually come to him, ask him for Belarusian rubles, and go away. And then one day you will find him one more time, one more time you will get him to the police, and the cycle goes on and on.
0:17 i love how it looks like a dad holding his kid after he did something very bad and is like "apologize to the lady"
it is kind of sweet to see the scammer is willing to cooperate with you, and there is the strange relationship between you both 😂
lmfao, this guy does NOT play around, this is great, my god. Even better, the music just doesn't match how intense this actually is.
