This reminded me that I haven't don't smelling jars in a year! Love the familiar faces cards!

I've been waiting for the moment she would be able to do the smelling jars! She started smelling the almost empty spice jars before I got to make them 😆it was my cue! And yeah I figured since she can't see her Korean family except for a few minutes on FaceTime, she needs some way to get familiar with them!

So glad to help! You can also usually find coins or wooden items like hearts in DIY section at craft store or dollar tree type stores, if you wanted to use something more durable than laminated coins. But those are still lasting us after all this time!

You could be such a great Montessori teacher. The combination of your creativity, excitement from your child's development and your love to teaching gives an amazing result and very simple, but unique ideas.

Thank you so much! Some of these are Montessori materials that are usually wooden but I wanted to making myself. Montessori materials can be fun for us adults too!

Woah I love how creative you are!!! And goes to show you don’t need to spend a crazy amount of money to do Montessori

Thank you! Some of these are my takes on DIYs I've seen or materials that do exist...and some are the result of working in Korea and being too intimidated to ask for help in getting materials for my class 😆 And absolutely true-there's definitely a benefit to the traditional wooden materials, but some of them can be made for a lot less at home! Montessori has started to gain traction and anything with it in the name is getting more and more expensive!

Thank you! Wasn't sure how long Stella would be into it if I invested into the wooden version 🙃 You can utilize it with your littlest one on the way!!

I'm all about easy DIYs-I'm no LaurDIY. Crafting is not my forte 😅 She rarely sees her Korean family aside from a couple minutes on FaceTime so I really wanted a way for her to get familiar with them!
This is definitely the fun age-not easy by any means, but so fun!!
