Your point on looking at the map at the start is GOLDEN advice! If every one does as you say, have a place in mind to head to, start heading there, look at the map, see who goes where and adjust accordingly, that is half the battle won! I breathe a sigh of relief when the team divides into useful numbers, and even a few may notice a flank is weak and actually change direction, you know you have at least half a chance of getting a win.
I swear Claus could download any replay and make an amazing piece of entertaining, informative, interesting commentary of it! Great advice for the start of the battle. It took me thousands of games to realise that and I still forget to check the map early in some games.
There is one golden rule which you should always follow and that is get to high ground. For the extra view range alone. Claus has said it many times take the high ground. The Guy in the OP TD would have died in seconds in most normal games. He just got very lucky!
At least its a tank-shaped video, not effing boats. :) And its good advice, to relocate, unless you are in a slow heavy and everyone who was there supporting you 30seconds ago, had fokked off and left you vs7 tanks.

And I see these kind of games more and more lately....
I play the American medium line and if I want to do any damage in my M4 (tier 5) I have to use the 105. It's slow firing, slow loading and inaccurate (since they nerfed it...killing too many Russian tanks I figure) but I've been able to compensate for it. However because of these factors, and the fact that the M4 is not the most nimble tank, it's very difficult to play effectively on the front line in a tier 7 game. I usually am forced to move into a TD type position in order to survive. Add to that crappy armor and gold rounds being hurled at me from the rich kid tanks, playing as a tough TD makes more sense than playing as a weak tank. @@metal_mo Yeah, we do see a lot of replay bugs on Clauses channel. The Tiger I has some kind of bot. Just count how many vehicles he tracked, without aiming. Dude, that can not be a replay bug.
@@nikolaskoric804 I just watched it again, and I have to respectfully disagree. Watch at 4:37. An aim bot would lead the targets and hold the lead. His reticle is moving around too much off target to be a bot. Another clue is when he is near the end battling the heavies and the E2. An aim bot looks for weak spots, which it was not.
That's exactly why his reticle is not stable. Aimbot usually have somewhere up to 0.5 delay time, it's a mod. it's doing it's calculation. E2 was hull-down, as you know the E2 has a very strong cupola which he cannot pen, even thou he is spamming gold. As far as the heavies are concerned, he was shooting IS and KV-1 while their side plate was exposed, letter on when the IS was facing him, he tracked him, while not being able to pen him. I counted 24 shot, from which he missed 2 hots, not even once was he fully aimed. He dinged maybe 2 times the E5. So from 24 shot, take in account that he was not even once fully aimed ( snapshooting like a boss ) he managed to miss only 2 times. Which leave him with 22 hits.( I stress out 22 hits, that is not a small number for such a short game) Either he is very, very, very, very lucky or something else is going on. From the 22 hits, he tracked 4 times ( again, not once being fully aimed at the vehicle). If he was shooting HE, than there is a greater chance to track a vehicle, but he was shooting gold ammo the whole game. In my opinion something is fishy there.
I have a problem: once I decide which flank to go to at the beginning of the game, I feel commited to this plan, and I don't really watch the minimap all the time, and no one else goes there, and I die alone. The number of times I’ve been slaughtered going to the “correct” position, on my own . . . because it was the “right thing” to do. No. Either join the Lemming Train, or find a defensive position that gives you a chance.
I used the same position as the Tiger in Westfield with my VK 30.01 (P), but a T67 joined me, and we ended up getting 11 kills together and winning. He took out the lights and a wheelie while I removed the mediums and heavies. It's a strong position if the NW ridge is lost. The enemy could have countered us by making a coordinated attack from the NW and the valley, but that's not what WoT players do in public matches.

Oddly enough I can remember a Tiger 1 doing the exact same thing as top tier on my team over a year ago. I asked him what he was doing and he replied something along the lines of "wait and see". His first shot was probably after half the team was dead. He got his decent score but of course it was a loss.
@@NinjaMonkeyPrime Winning in WoT is definitely not a personal score. Winning is determined by what the tanks 2 tiers above you, and the arty do. I personally win every time I hit a moving tank at 300 yards with the slow moving round from my 105, whether it causes damage or not. If that helps the 'team' to win then so be it, but it was not in my mind as I made the shot. yup definately a keeper that one .... predictability is why so many people hate arty ... they keep going to the same spot and arty knows drop a load soonest there just in case .... some days arty can sit and shoot ... others it has to shoot and move .... but when you get good team play you can win every game
good video, tiger did a great job in the end, as for su td good position but I felt he missed too many opportunities in the beginning but in the end he pulled himself together to have a good game, kudo to u.
90% of the time camping you base is the most op position on a map. Remember when highway had a like 70% WR for the NE spawn? Well if the SW spawn camped base they had the 70% wr. Winning some arbitrary point on the map usually doesn't mean much if you can hold a base 10x easier. Its not very fun but its stupidly effective on way to many maps.
I do it skil4ltu and shinix way. Just pre aim obvious spot, poke and shoot if you are spotted. Sometimes gets hilarious if you are in KV2 in it happens to that way 5 times and you get 5 tanks and score say 0 DMG but you wipe out 1/3 of enemy team 😁😁😁. KV2 is blind as bat so that helps
Actually I had a few games in the "Live Oaks", where I would knock down a live oak in tha swamp and shoot from there without getting spottet. I think there is something about those live oaks... ;)
It's funny that there are so many positions that are known positions and people always go there. I play arty every once in a while and if nothing is lit I will blind shoot bushes and locations that I know are common positions. It's always a pleasant surprise when the game results come up and I have more damage than what is shown in game . . .
If a position is op or not has to do what the opponents do. I hate when the team rushes as the opponents have a strong position. There is artillery for a reason. Stand back, be patient, protect the artillery and let them clear the area.
When I started and would be on Malinovka, I would pull beside a building near the spawn, I played maybe 200 games before I knew there was a hill to one side, why? muppet like tendancies which continued, uninstalled after nearly 6000 games.
I got the SU130 PM after Claus reported it was a good tank. I take Claus' opinions seriously. It's become my favorite to play. The SU130 PM is not the fastest, the most accurate or best surviving tank. It's in fact not excellent at anything, but it's good at everything. The 130mm gun inflicts some killer damage but an ant fart, shadow from a passing cloud or descending bird dropping can knock your shots outside the aiming circle in any direction. I'd swear some of my well aimed shots land in maps of other games. If you can be patient enough to accept these complications, you will be deadly on the battlefield. ~VEN0MS_BANE
Unfortunately, that is not the dumbest heavy tank driver I've ever seen. You don't give us much choice. Either be a muppet or a moron and defend the open flank (as a team player would do) or be a lemming and wander around behind 14 other tanks who would rather follow the ignorant than actually play the map. A lot of players aren't morons, they just aren't committed to an unbalanced game to the point Klaus is.(And I love your videos Klaus, except for the name calling which only helps the WoT community be more acidic.) Like me, a lot of guys play it for fun and as a distraction. I don't care who wins or loses, that adds pressure, I just play the best game I can for myself. I'm 2 tiers down most of the time, and only 1 of 15 players anyway. Adding to that is the fact that WoT is really an arty players game so why sweat the wins? Have fun, listen to the sound of your big gun (we all love that eh?), try to get a kill or two and leave the game whistling instead of stressed up over shit that doesn't mean anything.
Klaus is correct. You don't get much of a choice, depending on what your team happens to do at the start of the game. If your team leaves one side completely open and you go out there to cover it by yourself, then you're just setting yourself up for failure. So yeah, if there is a lemming train, you probably going to have to drive along behind the end of the train. Unicum players play randoms just like the rest of us and run into the same bad situations, but they are better at making the best of bad situations than the rest of us regular people. That's why there are so few good players as compared to the rest of the player base. I don't run xvm anymore. Why? Because it only tells you what people have done over the long run, it doesn't tell you what people are going to do in any given game. So I just play as well as I can in each battle and move on to the next as best I can.

yup definately a keeper that one .... predictability is why so many people hate arty ... they keep going to the same spot and arty knows drop a load soonest there just in case .... some days arty can sit and shoot ... others it has to shoot and move .... but when you get good team play you can win every game
good video, tiger did a great job in the end, as for su td good position but I felt he missed too many opportunities in the beginning but in the end he pulled himself together to have a good game, kudo to u.
It's always a pleasant surprise when the game results come up and I have more damage than what is shown in game . . .
Thank you , Prez Claus .
If a position is op or not has to do what the opponents do. I hate when the team rushes as the opponents have a strong position. There is artillery for a reason. Stand back, be patient, protect the artillery and let them clear the area.
Hysterical!!! I have a cramp from laughing so much.... and GOOD information too! THANK YOU for this video!!!!!
When I started and would be on Malinovka, I would pull beside a building near the spawn, I played maybe 200 games before I knew there was a hill to one side, why? muppet like tendancies which continued, uninstalled after nearly 6000 games.
Them tea-bagging tanks at 1:20 tho... 😳
Glad to see you back on dry land buddy, we missed you ;)
Why I turn off in game chat.
The intro was something else
Claus i now were the holy gral in its in canada at Oak Island (Mahonebay) Nouveaux (Scotia???)
The tiger changes bushes.
The KV1S is perplexed.
Strvs just casually making love in the intro. :P
Another great video for the average 'Joe'. Thanks Claus. Keep'em coming.
this man is amazing
~VEN0MS_BANE
it's clear that great games involve muppets on both teams and pressing 2
The strv at the beginning apparently prefers missionary position.
In my feed, this showed as "Lemming Rush viewers also watch" XD
Bottom line, don't be afraid to put your ego away and turn back if the situation demands it.
Oh Claus, what have you done to the intro's I loved?
'look at the mini map'....... That is the best advice.... for others..;-)
