You really ought to tag his business in the show notes to really boost his business! He is someone everyone would want to hire! Of course, after you have finished with his services and no longer have a need for them. LOL, I suspect he will be rather busy after that! The house is looking amazing for real! After the stonework it will POP!!
This is becoming such an absolutely gorgeous house. I love how you do so much yourselves but how the right skilled craftsmen where it matters, like making those difficult tiles or the stonemasons. Great example for others!
Been watching since before you started digging. Unbound persistence is paying off. Looking really great. I hope you feel the accomplishment you are showing all of us.
Amazing what that concrete driver can do from his cab! Very precise delivery of just the right amount in the right spots to fill in - kudos to him and the guys on the ground :)
JP is masterful in his craft, and his crew also amazing!!! Loved it when JP was directing the money shot! Lol It really is a beautiful home!!! Blessings to you and your family.
Your forever home is beautiful...I've been here since you moved from Suburbia....and I'm so happy for how far you've come in your dream..I remember how angry I was at that first wellwater drill🤗 I can exhale now! Thank God for JP & Crew
I enjoy coming back after a week or two and catching up. I love watching the progress on the home. Thanks for making us "part" of the build. House is looking great.-Jenn
Hi, you two. . . This is cool, now the steps are started, JP and his crew are muy bueno. I can't wait to see them all done. See you in the next video, wishing y'all the best.
This has been fabulous to watch. Thank you for sharing your journey with us. Your home is simply magnificent and so beautiful. The best part is all the blessings from everyone behind all of this craftsmanship. It ALL shows the tremulous beauty of the structure. So good!
Wow Jeremy they house is just Awesome! you an Jaime have worked hard on this home and a lot of good contractors. Wow the Steps are just Awesome! I can't wait to see the stone on them.
Love love this guy's. There work is great. I wish I could found I JP in Oklahoma I need work done at my lake lot. House is beautiful. Have a great weekend. Hugs
How much did it cost you to have these stairs built? I’ve gotta build a 4 step set up at my house and I’m curious what it cost just in materials versus letting a professional do it
huh I see 2" on 1 side under that porch lip and 2 1/2" on the other side under that lip [between step and lip of porch]. Damn your good :) just picking, you've worked your ass off and have made a beautiful home.
With an 8 inch tall block, you are 1/4 inch taller than what is allowed by code for riser height. Personally I couldn’t care less, but I’m trying to figure out how to do this on a home I’m building and have it pass inspection.
What's the riser height when you add stone? Is your local code different than it is at this location? Can you change the riser height by fanagling the amount of stone set?
All of us are wondering the same thing. One could get close to the number if one thought thru the costing out the key items (with an error-factor. I just looked at the place as a 4Ksqft home, with high quality (everything), @ $70 to 80 per sqft. I might be close or way off ;)
A little concerned about the first step down off the porch.. it seems much bigger of a drop.. or maybe its just the camera.. hard to tell. from here is does look twice the rise as the rest of the steps.. They do look solid and wow perfectly straight and plumb.. that guy knows his stuff
I hate the fact that the tradesmen don’t wear kneepads. I know a tiler who had to give up in his thirties because his occupation had ruined his knees resulting in a massive drop in income and a lifetime of pain.
Honestly this seems quite overbuilt for a mature couple with two teenagers who are probably going to move out soon. I’m currently shopping for a new home in Ukraine and like, a 725 square foot home with a giant garden for $10k is totally normal and attainable.
HAHA, you have to understand both the US and the Eastern European cultures to reconcile in your mind what they are doing. I live in Eastern European and I see no problem. They are building a high quality luxury home. No one world ever build that here, and if they did the people dwelling in the home would tear it all up. You just cannot compare the cultures....
From beginning to where have come you simply have done an excellent job!
Trying! 👍🏻

I'm looking at that skinny shadow between the top step and the porch and it is ABSOLUTely PERFECT! My compliments to JP :)
I know! 😳

WOW!!! Incredible craftsmanship!!! So beautiful!!! Well done!!! You found the right people!!! You must be so delighted!!! TY

Adapt, Overcome, Persevere 😉
Amazing what that concrete driver can do from his cab! Very precise delivery of just the right amount in the right spots to fill in - kudos to him and the guys on the ground :)
He is their best driver and is super good with that concrete chute.
JP is masterful in his craft, and his crew also amazing!!! Loved it when JP was directing the money shot! Lol It really is a beautiful home!!! Blessings to you and your family.
The hillbilly drone shot captures an elevation that reveals how appropriate the house design is to the landscape. Well done.
Really enjoying your build; been with you right from the beginning and you are just doing such a great job.
Thanks for hanging around with us! 👍🏻

Absolutely Amazing. I never dreamed this much work goes into a house. I'm exhausted just from watching all of it. Can't wait to see the next step.
Absolutely gorgeous 😍 I'm so happy for you guys. Each day a step closer to completion!! Bless you guys!
Thank you! You too!

The Hillbilly Drone shot was fantastic! Gave us a different perspective. Y’all, I couldn’t be happier for you. Just beautiful! 💕✌🏼
Absolutely beautiful! Sitting upstairs on your porch looking out at that view with your coffees in hand, is going to be EVERYTHING ❤

Jack of all trades, they are hard to find now. It looks great, can’t wait to see the stone work.
Oh, that red clay. What a wonder. I have a home in Northern Minnesota. All red clay. Love when it rains and the kids and dogs drag it into the house.
Ugh
good thing you are still young :) looks fantastic!
Wow Jeremy they house is just Awesome! you an Jaime have worked hard on this home and a lot of good contractors. Wow the Steps are just Awesome! I can't wait to see the stone on them.

Oh My! getting closer to home every day! bet you're itching to get in! you need to get a couple of good rockers for the porch! :)
Looking amazing GF! Thanks for another great video!
I love watching such skilled labor in action! Those guys are most definitely masters of their craft.
He may have more square footage in his "Not-so-small-house-on-a-hill" but your view beats Matt Carricker's all to he!! 😀
JP man of many skill !.
Aloha! Very beautiful! Good job JP!!!!
It's going to be gorgeous!
Very skilled people, JP and his team!
Exact DIY video I needed! Thank you for always posting great content ❤
Now the stairs are in you can start moving in before winter 😉
Stunning
Thank you! 😊
Did you fill the block core with aggregate and then topped it off with cement or was it all cement core?
You can fill it with either. You can use broken chunks of block too. Just fill it all smooth when you pour the concrete.
How much did it cost you to have these stairs built? I’ve gotta build a 4 step set up at my house and I’m curious what it cost just in materials versus letting a professional do it
Beautiful 😀. You building my dream 😃
Glad to hear all those concrete block structures are gonna be covered with stone. Looking forward to seeing that... I'd bet it's gonna look AWESOME!
I've recently learned about SWPPP. Do you need to follow those requirements because your home is so remote?
No
Looking sharp!
Looks great, but I didn’t see how you actually made them!
Now more ease to walk into your dream house each day something new getting done I think in the home stretch now I'm here waiting
Thanks 😎🤙🦅
Super nice 👍👍👍 steps 👍👍 , my house next I'll by them all the beer they want lol
Looks great.
What step dimensions (tread & rise) do you end up having with those blocks ?
And, were the blocks filled with cement or concrete ?
16x8 and filled with concrete.
Looking great. Are those block steps solid block all the way through? I don't see another way to support the blocks at the top.
Yes totally solid and all the cells are filled.
I didn't get to see wether the steps were left hollow or filled completely with concrete or block? Thanks for the video
They are filled completely
fully grouted with mortar
Oh my goodness, Looks like occupancy certificate is close. 😎😎😎😎👋🏻👋🏻👋🏻👋🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

WOW WOW WOW 😍😍
What Is The Block Count For Those Steps? I'm Going 6 Steps High.
Excellent!!

@@spencerhansen8374 I just found out that I am allowed to go to 8 inch riser height on exterior steps.
I wish I had invested in concrete before you started your build!! ha
Yeah the ready mix plant loves me 😂
Awesome! Thanks again for sharing!
Great video thanks again
Note to viewers… (9:02) When you hire a mason, get one who brags!
🤣
Preferably one who is legal to work.
wow
Looking great
What is the build cost so far?

Wait until stone is installed
@@Guildbrookfarm lmao.. Of course!! =D
Holy fuck, those edges though 😍.
Are you going to live in the house forever? Or sell it?
We plan to be here for quite some time.
All that hard clay.... is the Mrs. going to do some pottery?
What is the budget for this home? TIA
Will you have a ramp? In case someone in a wheelchair visits or an elderly person
The up and down of the building. just saying
😯👍👍👍👌
I hate the fact that the tradesmen don’t wear kneepads. I know a tiler who had to give up in his thirties because his occupation had ruined his knees resulting in a massive drop in income and a lifetime of pain.
👀👀👀🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸☕️☕️☕️👋👋👋
.
Where would you guys be without those Mexican workers?
Probably hire some Americans that would keep their money in America 🤔
They are Americans 😏
Sorry thought I read Mexicans
