Dude you're an absolute genius and exactly the one I needed right now in front on my Victron's equipment juste saying myself "that's to expensive, let's try something with a pie!" Thank's a lot and lot of love!
Happy to see you have new blue stuff. I just got the multi-plus II and ever since I plugged in the mk3 to my pi 4 every now and then it disconnects all the devices. This was fixed for a while. I'll try the duppa part and see if that resolves my issue. Thanks a bunch for the tip
I was reading your reply and question apparently from what I understand there's an issue with the ground loop I was wondering if you found a solution and if the duba was the solution?
@@brianbavington4665 It has been awhile but I tried an isolator from Amazon and it worked ok. The Duppa was the next step but after all the connectors, the unit and the shipping insteead decided to get the CerboGX instead. Works like a charm
@@tobisreallifeskillswithtobi Thanks. Aspecially if you mind focusing on ESS Assistant. Still no so clear for me. Looks easy but I'm not sure I'm doing everything right.

Hi 1stly a nice explanation of all. I think you need to reduce the absorption charge voltage to about 3.45-3.50v (55.2V- 56V) you don't want the inverter to charge your batter to the full 3.65V (58.4V) you can check the offgrid garage from Andy. He had done so many battery tests. You want the bms to be the last line of defense so u want the charging to stop before n if it don't stop then the bms will stop it.
i'm a little confused. If you have this Inverter and also a raspberry pi with the VenusOS. How you connect it to inverter? Usb from the MK3 to the raspberry and the other side connect a UTP to the Ve.Bus ? Why raspberry can't connect directly to ve.bus port ?
I assume victron wanted to make their own more expensive connector ;-) You can try to build one. I have a video out there. At least a little cheaper but highly depends on the wires if it works without issue u fortunately but would save some money... Thanks for watching! :)

Hi Looking at installing a multiplus II 12v/3000. Like to use raspberry pi Venus os to monitor. Could I use a tablet with Bluetooth to display and monitor the victron.

Awesome this helps you! Thanks for watching and your feedback 🙂
I will be installing my 12/3000/120 2x120 soon with my Pie4 so this is all good stuff. Thanks and keep it coming please.
Thank you!
Perfect timing - just installed a Multiplus in our Camper Van - will be adding an RPI4 and VenusOS next

Thanks for watching! I will see how mine performs in combination with RPI
can you please when you try the combination show us feedback ?

Nice! Fun fact :) Litteraly yesterday I was reinstalling my MPII + VenusOS. Open to hear your experiences!
Thanks for watching! I will share them for sure over the next weeks and months!

Victron has Orion-Tr 48/12-30 (360 W) a 48-12V converter.
Thanks, let me check on this! I was not aware of it!

Good call and thanks for pointing out! I just adjusted everything according to the battery manufacturer. :-)

Good guide, thanks. Why did you use the MK3 cable. Can't it be configured via raspberry pi?
wondering if the MK3-USB-C is same as a regular ethernet to usb adaptor, 60-80 $ for the victron one seems excessive,
Great Job Thx
Hola Tobi, qué sistema operativo has usado para ver la temperatura de la raspi y los datos más exhaustivos en la consola remota?
Saludos
Thanks for watching! The PRI is using VenusOS which is based on Linux. There are a lot of videos on my channel about VenusOS ;-)

Hi
Looking at installing a multiplus II 12v/3000.
Like to use raspberry pi Venus os to monitor.

You would need a Bluetooth dongle I believe for the Multiplus to monitor with the app - just speaking about the Multiplus . I hope this helps!
