The tip at 4:32 - where the cursor stays at the end is going to help my audiobook recording workflow a great deal - thanks!

Yeah. It's really useful for things like that.

Baller per yooj Kenny! I can never think of an example where unlinking time selection and loop points makes sense haha :)

It's good for "Time selection auto-punch", one of the best ways to record
if you use "time selection auto punch", reaper records what you do before and after the time selection. So, you can extend a newly recorded audio item's left side and reveal an early transient. Or maybe you let your note sustain into the next bar, and it sounded good. Well, you can get that back again too by extending the item to the right
Also you can do a bunch of things in reaper while your track is playing. That can boost workflow and the creative process. I.e. if you have a 4-bar percussive loop, you can let it continue playing (via Loop points) while you add parts, or edit other parts. Sometimes you might want use a time selection for edits or punching in a take without changing the loop points.

It was also more needed before razor editing was added.

Great video Kenny thanks. Do you have a video that explains when recording bass midi. I am trying to record a bass for a song and want to be able to stop and then continue recording the baseline. I am also trying to figure out how to go back and record over and fix mistakes. Thanks.

Why is the stretch markers adjusting pitch on item recordings? not very useful like it used to be moving it to tempo without it pitching.

Just getting mad here. Is there a way to select a media Item and the edit cursor goes automatically at the start of that media Item? I'm building a sound design on top of a video and I can't find this setting anywhere!
