Two methods of making energy are readily available to us, a two radius Atwood’s machine and the ‘cylinder and spheres’.
An Atwood’s is simply a pulley; but the pulley can have two radii. But the drive radius can be much smaller than the radius of the pulley where the balanced mass is accelerated. The extra mass (100 g) or ‘drive mass’ can have a radius at 1 cm and the accelerated mass (200 g) at 10 cm. The energy increase is extremely large and is related to this radius difference.
    An Atwood’s can accelerate 200 grams at the 10 cm radius just as easily as it accelerates 2000 g at the 1 cm radius. But the energy is 10 times as much. ½ * 2 kg *1 m/sec * 1 m/sec = 1 J ½ * .2 kg * 10 m/sec * 10 m/sec = 10 J
The ‘cylinder and sphere’ transfers the motion of a large mass to a small mass and gives you a huge increase in energy.
Making these experiment would give us free energy.

I wanted to test the idea of gravity plus magnetic force. Am glad to see somebody is working on it. There is another thing you can add to the setup but I can't give you a clue because I want to do it by myself. Keep doing the great things.

The only "help" I can tell you try an even number of arms like 5 or 7 then other than the moment each arm passes the poles there is imbalance having one more arm always on that side, so with 5 arms there is 3 arms on one side vs 2 arms on the other, with 7 arms you get 4 to 3 arms. Anyway just a thought.

This is something I've been working on for a very long time. I had a slightly different approach in that I was basing my idea on keeping the centre off centre on a permanent basis. My biggest problem was a lack off proper equipment to make the components properly. I was using weights on shafts that were guided by an off centre guiding channel. I made a couple of the engines without success but maybe I'll try again sometime. I know it can work. I did think of the use of liquid but in curved tubes, in my head it works

    Questions/ideas..
Are you familiar with Bhãskara’s wheel design? I’d imagine it would give a better balance to weight distribution?
Could a liquid such as gallium, Mercury or ferro fluids be beneficial? With or with out added magnet..
gravitational/mag gate influence is definitely an exciting addition to such a design.
Thank you for sharing your experiments, it’s great to see someone trying such ideas and showing the progression.

I liked your two sentences describing the 3D printing. The description was better than the dedicated videos on the matter.
As a thank you, I hope that you consider my suggestion of placing several water wheels on the same axis but offset in an angle that the wheels cover the dead zones of each other, the more wheels you use the more stability and speed the wheels would gain.
The same principle can be used for magnet wheels.

    An honest observation:
Whatever you "gain" on the DOWNWARD side of the device (ie - the side which can use gravity) MUST be FULLY gained (and then some) on the UPWARD side of the device (ie - the side which must FIGHT the force of gravity) - in order to create even a single full rotation.
    Example:
Try bouncing any kind of ball, from any height (say 6 feet for example). See if the ball ever bounces back to a height of 6 feet - or over. To be blunt, this is the EXACT same problem you are experiencing with this device. Just saying...

Love your channel. I'd try doubling your arms on that design, as the useful force of each thing- the water drop and the magnetic pull (or push, whichever way you've got that going) that seems spent before the next drop or pull is due to take place. I'd also try moving the gates, so the pull of one, helps drop the water, which will get the next magnet into the gate. I'm sure I'm a student saying dumb shit to the master here, but that's what I see. It's that one inch sort of problem, in both systems. there's gotta be a spot to play those off of each other at the right time.
Dunno man, but I like where you're going with this. keep it up.

the challenge with wheel type 'gravity' (or ether/buoyancy for you in the know FE folks) designs is that any weight dropped from a hair past 12 o'clock to start the rotation, does not have the potential energy to make it past about 11:57 o'clock. if you attach an equal weight at 6 o'clock then start the rotation the kenetic energy released from the 12 o'clock weight will in fact push the 6 o'clock weight up and past 12 o'clock and the wheel may continue to rotate for some time. but on each rotation the bottom weight will suck a little more energy from the top weight until finally they both stop. really, if you cannot make a wheel work with just one weight, you're probably not going to make it work with multiple weights. the key is finding some power source that will suck the weight from 11:57 o'clock to 12:01 o'clock. unfortunately if you try to use magnets to do this they might be able to suck the weight up over 12:01 o'clock but they will not want to release the weight again until around 1 o'clock. so now your rotation is starting a 1 o'clock and will not make it past 10:57 o'clock

What if you use the V shaped magnet mount with the steel plates? Don't the create a pushing force from one side if you line the same poles as the steel plates? Maybe you could use this to keep pushing the wheel just the bit you need to keep it spinning.

Magnetic attraction/repulsion decrease as the square of the distance, so that's telling you to avoid big swings and arcs. Magnetic power is awesome at short distances. If there was a way to take full advantage of the attraction, generating a lot of velocity, then at the last microsecond, a mechanism would rotate one of the magnets and repel. The mechanism would have to be near friction free. Since F=Ma, no device will work, but it can be made to move a long, long time in a vacuum.

I have a suggestion. I don't know if you preform calculations prior to designing your experiments or if you just have an idea and try it out. I might have mentioned that I am a structural engineer or maybe I didn't. I have an BS, MS, and am working on my Ph.D. and have taught at the University of Tennessee for 6 years in the Civil Engineering Department. When I design a building or structure, I have to calculate the forces and strength of every piece and part that compose the building or structure prior to drawing the building. Before I start that process, I already know what the building will look like and I know where every piece and part will be. It is all in my head. I could walk through the entire building in my mind before I have started the first calculation. But, I have to insure that every piece and withstand the loads that it will see during the life of the building. Mechanics states that for each force there is an equal and opposite reaction. That is the basis for structural engineering. So, I have to resolve all of my forces. The sum of the forces in the X-direction must equal 0 or there will be motion in the X-direction. Likewise, the sum of the forces in the Y and Z-directions must also equal 0 or there will be motion in those two directions as well. Additionally, at each joint or connection, I have to check for rotation and sum the moments. The sum of the moments about any point must also equal 0. If they do not equal 0 then I will have rotation about that point. If you have a wheel that has a center, you are trying to create an imbalance. The imbalance is the difference in the sum of the moments about the center of the wheel. Since you are trying to induce rotation about the center, you want to make sure that I every single calculation, you have created a difference in the sum of the moments where the sum is greater on the same side of the wheel in every situation. When you have done this, your wheel will continuously rotate. Then, you should go ahead and produce a mockup of the design.

Most of the research I do is based on magnetic effects. I've spent a great deal of time pouring over the information I've gathered from pioneers of magnetic motive force systems, like Howard Johnson. So I'm much more familiar with them. And I generally build from a picture of something in my mind or experiment on variations of Johnson's research. I actually avoided gravity wheels for a long time because of the precision that is necessary for building them properly. So no, I definitely don't have your expertise for designing something with that type of precision. I've never seen anyone try the types of designs I did in my liquid gravity wheel videos though, so my hope was that if I shared my designs it might help point others into a new direction they may not have thought to try. It may simply be a matter of balancing everything out properly and spacing things exactly the way they need to be. I've made it a habbit to share most of the ideas I have so that others can build upon the things I create, add their own variations, and move things forward in ways that may not have been thought of otherwise.

Probably due to the orientation of the liquid holders, it seems to rotate significantly more from left to right (4:45-4:55) than in the other direction (4:55-5:00), so I would surely stick with that turning direction if I had the chance. By looking at how far the lever goes with the magnetic gate, it seems promising to try a star configuration (two levers at right angles). Thank you and keep up your very inspirational work!

It's designed to work better in one direction, but I wanted to demonstrate that I was testing it every way possible. Good suggestion. If I continued the experiment I'd probably increase the size of the magnets and use a series of gates on the final design. Thanks!

  • @rontaylor6772

No one ever attempts using a design that incorporates two wheels , one above the other
that is connected by a belt or chain , by doing this you could greatly increase the amount of
    imbalance.
the chain or belt would connect to the outside edge of the two wheels so that
if you used a design that was 10 ft tall (10 ft between the axles) and the wheels
were both 2 ft in diameter you would have a belt or chain that would be apx 26 ft in
    length.
you could mount one of the ( H ) shapes every inch along the 26 ft length of the belt or chain.
and the ( H ) shapes could extend from the 1 ft radius to a 3 ft radius from center.
this would give you a 3 to 1 weight ratio.
so that there would be 312 shapes on either side of the belt at any time
312 would have the water inside the ( H ) shapes located at a distance of 3 ft
    and
312 would have the water inside the ( H ) shapes located at a distance of 1 ft
water weighs 0.0361 lbs per cubic inch so if the ( H ) shapes were 12 inches tall
with a center horizontal connector that is 2 ft long and the inside diameter of the
pipe was .75 inch then you would have a volume of water inside each ( H ) shape
    of .44 sq inch x 12 inch = 5.29 cu inch.
    multiplying by 312 = 1652.21 cu inch
multiplying by 0.0361 lbs / cu in = 59.68 lbs
the torque on the one side would be 59.68 ft lbs
and the torque on the other side would be 3 times that because of the distance
    from the center.
so the torque on the other side would be 178.93 ft lbs.
Im not going to claim that this would even work because all of the weights of the water in the ( H ) shapes would be applying a torque or twisting force to the belt or chain vs a downward pull on the top wheel at a 1 ft radius from the center of rotation , the wheel at
the top would only feel 59.68 ft lbs downward force or pull on either side
because of the water in the pipes.
you would need to find a separate way to extract energy from the imbalanced forces.
    .

How about Aldo Costa's "A machine to die for" (Paris, Ferris wheel). The 256 (empty) wine bottles (mounted near the perimeter=circumference) are each flipped (=rotated) "up" (by 1 lever, of 2) at "only" the top & bottom of the ferris wheel. Thus only 2 bottles are moved (up) at a time. Each bottle is mounted on a pivot_assembly (not really ball_bearings) so (that) they "stay (put)", maintaining the same angle (for giving its effective (torque's) radius length) due to (the pivot's) "friction"
(til each bottle arrives at either the top or bottom of the ferris wheel. Long (thin) lever rods (=bars), are used (1 for each bottle, to pivot the bottle in(wards)=smaller radius)
(only) at the bottom of the Ferris wheel. Some sort of a stub mounted near the top of the stand (=framework), pivots each bottle (up, =out=larger radius) near the top of the Ferris wheel, while the wheel rotates. 128 bottles (=half the total number of bottles) always have a larger radius (than the rest of them (=the other 128 bottles). e.g. left side versus right side of the ferris wheel (or visa versa, from my memory). It's that simple! Why not concentrate on a design (like that) that works, before mixing 2 unknown techniques together? Redundancy breeds success. It's a "push_up" effect (~a few centimeters), only at top & bottom, while rotating. The major trick is the correct amount of friction (to make each bottle keep its pivoted angle).
Think of the wheel, (very ruffly) as a mushroom (slice),
with the axle thru where the head joins the stem.
The stem's length is less than the head's radius
& the mushroom lies horizontally (stem is left, & head is right side)
    (instead of growing vertical).
The (mushroom's large round=semi_circle) head (right side) represents the larger radius for 128 bottles (half of the wheel),
& the (small) stem_end (left side) represents the smaller radius for the other 128 bottles (half of the wheel).
    The mushroom slice turns clockwise,
because the right side has more torque (larger radius),
than the left side (smaller radius).
But that('s a magic) mushroom (that) adjusts (up, vertically, along the large diameter)
    to maintain its horizontal form=shape.

The principle of the water wheel has to do with moment. This arrangement does not give you an advantage when the water displaces. It is too close to the center of the arm and will not produce a moment. It is just producing an axial force along the arm. The center of gravity of the water when it moves downward must induce moment. This induction has to occur when the wheel is at the top of the arm and aligned with the arm. When the wheel is horizontal, the arm itself provides the moment. I was thinking about the magnets and shielding. You had mentioned in one of the other videos about the motors that had been constructed and did not work because of inadequate or no shielding. I would agree with you and take it one step further. Imagine that you have a shotgun and an you shoot it at wall, but you only want to hit one single item. What could you do? You can buy a choke for you shotgun and it will tighten the spread. Or you could change your ammunition from shot to a slug round. If you shot the wall with a slug, you are guaranteed to only hit exactly one item. You only have one round. The same should apply to magnets. If you have a magnet array that is throwing out Gaussian Flux in every which way how can you predict it? You can't, you have a shotgun. You can shield it so that it is like a laser beam. If you were to completely shield either your force magnets or your car so that the car can only take input due to it being shielded or the force magnets being shielded, you will only get force in the amount and direction that you desire.

Motionmagnetics cool video! But the first rotary magnet motor you presented in this video, can be successful, if the magnet arc is rotated 90 degrees and has a few gates to pass trough, like the pmm4ghybrid replica of the Liniair HoJo motor, with the magnets closer and closer together and than further apart and closer and closer, asymmetrical, that’s easier to convert in to rotary motion.
The gravity wheel will always have to have a external factor besides gravity, because gravity goes one way, you have to have compensation

Thanks. I've tried linear versions of it that were set up that way. Haven't managed to get it to work yet. If I were to continue working on the last design I would add more gates to try and bring the rotor up to the point where gravity would take over and bring it back into the first gate.

Im not going to claim that using an ( H ) shape will deliver better results though.

dude get into arduino - try to use servos and solenoids to move or pivot magnetic fields on a HoJo or better yet your own setup in order to bypass the 1 inch barrier.. 90% static, 10% moving parts easily done with basic electronic components. if i wasnt so stupid i would do it but YOU probably can! peace

I'm not saying it can not be done but it sounds like your just using water and magnets to make a perpetual motion machine.

you want to know the secret that allows stuff to work? in order to produce a net force, two force must cancel each other out in order to restart the third reacting with the second. energy balance out because nothing cancel out the force that created the potential difference in the first place. energy is a system that always comes in pairs of opposite potential. one must be canceled out for the other to continue produce force at a distance. the matrix alway try to bance the equation. the reason why infinte energy can exist is because we do not live in base reality. if we did, no such thing would work.

I have an important question (unfortunatelly the autor of the video seems not to replay to anyone).
I have designed a system (only on paper yet, but 5 years thinking on this now) that is somewhat the same path you are taking. I believe i have found the solution you are looking for to make your prototype to work. Having said that... what you will do if you really make this project work? are you going to post a video explaining everything and giving it for free? I am not sure if the patent system would be enough to secure a discovery of that magnetude.

What If you used some open source A.I. code and had some machine learning take a look at your schematics and come up with the changes needed to achomplish this? It seems hopeful that it would come up with a working solution

Well, now you have added magnets, you have well and truly joined the cult of idiots who believe magnets have magic properties that will give them perpetual motion and free energy if only they can align them properly. This is pure folly, as the laws of motion and thermodynamics will prevail every time. I have to give you credit for persistence, though.
