thanks for the great vid, just wanted to point out that filiming the gateron optical switches transform them from a wobbly terrible switch to a very clean sounding and nice feeling one, as the main wobble is in the housing itself
"typewriters were invented in 1868, and since the rise of computers over the last century, keyboards have become an integral part of our lives. But that IS a keyboard? In this video I will..." Ikr, I'm so done with it
Honestly, imo tecware's in this one is the best TKL sized with perfectly tuned sound with awesome stabs, and sound compression. Definitely the best one in this list imo
@@KrutGemByte you probably got the tecware phantom 2020-2022 models, they're the only ones that come with outemus, that's why the switches pings for you since they're yk outemus. While for the phantom +s they (tecware) have their own set of customized prelubed ones, which doesn't have any pings at all, and on a same price tag as the old (2020-2022) models.
i personally think the royal kludge should be on this list it is a great keyboard, comes with foam, stabilizers are already pretty good and foam between the PCB and the plate, just buy putting good sounding switches in it, it can make it sound really good
Can't recommend the Skyloong GK75 enough. I would go for the non-optical switch version myself (still under $100) but the build quality for the price can't be beat. It's insane. And the sound... so thocky and deep, if that's what you're going for. It just feels like butter. Like this review says, all the stabs come really well tuned; no pinging or rattle of any kind. Epomaker (Skyloong specifically) is king of budget boards. IMO
Do the tape mod (2-3 layers of blue painters tape on the back of the PCB) on the Ractous/Tezarre 61/63s and others like them. It's so quick and easy to do, just a couple keycaps and 6 little screws, and it makes a MASSIVE improvement to the sound. Putting the board on top of 1cm of closed cell foam or 2-3 small mousepads also can isolate the sound from resonating into your desk, and again massively improving the sound, making them feel like far more expensive boards.
+1 to this!! I recently impulse-bought a Pulsar keyboard for work when Amazon dropped the price, and it honestly sounded pretty crappy at first. I had some extra keycaps and switches that I brought in from home (white ASA profile Akko PBT keycaps and pre-lubed Akko Lavender Purple tactile switches), and my only other mod was opening it up and doing 2-3 layers of blue painter's tape on the PCB. After doing that, this thing sounds WAY better than the very few dollars I spent on it... to the point that I could maybe consider a few other mods down the line but honestly don't feel the need.
I bought the Reddragon K530 and replaced the switches with Akko Jelly Blacks because of you! Also modded it using your guide. This was my first mechanical keyboard that I modded and it was all possible because of your videos! ❤❤❤
I bought the Ractous with brown switches a while ago. I made hybrid switches with Feker Holy Pandas. You don't get quite the entire feel of an actual panda switch, but it is a noticeable upgrade if you like tactile. Also installed some case foam to knock out a little hollowness.
I love how you kept doing keyboards but didn’t make it the focus I do appreciate the information you have in subject on how it is informative, but overall variety great work
This is a cool channel, the only problem I have is that most of it is not available in the EU. It is a more TOP 2 for EU. Maybe you could make one for EU. That would be nice.
Could you maybe do a straight up BEST keyboard right now, like no limitations whatsoever I just want to see the top 5 best ones. If you could I would love that
is the k530 pro swappable with any switches, i bought silver switches but i forgot what brand, and i wanna know if i buy this keyboard i can use my silver switches
definitely going to check out one of these, previously was looking for a good budget headset when I stumbled upon your review of the redragon H10 Zeus and was sold got myself a pair so trust your advice on these too!
Dude, I kinda miss your mechanical keyboard video. It just feels right when a thumbnail of your video showing mechkeebs stuff popped up on my feed. Please make it more often. Understand that you want to diversify your contents. But, your keeb content is like a fresh air to the other creator in youtube tho as I think you're the only one who cover extensively prebuilds-in stock online marketplace stuffs (hence, the majority of consumers are) that usually left behind by other keyboard youtubers.
Hi there, im recently found you searching for budget mechanical keyboard and have a blast with the mods. Thanks in advance for the service you have been doing in pro the comunity. In latam there are not too many options in this starting point (I'm currently in Chile), so I was thinking to buy the GK75 (and is available right now). On the oher hand, found out that the Keychrone brand is well known and the starting point of the k2 (v1) is around +15$, you still recomend to purchase this one instead?. Great video!
The GK75 is great I have this board with the glacier green switches theses are a tactile switch and have a greater bump that a brown for sure, I would say these have a bump more like an Akko blue . I did have to lube the springs of the switches though because it did have noticeable ping but luckily it was only the spring and not the leaf. The stem does come pre-lubed from the factory and is consistent.
I have a question about the number one spot, when i look on amazon it comes with that blue but there is pink keycaps on it, do they come with the same colored keycaps the one in your video? And does it come with the kit to remove the keycaps?
For the first one the link brought me to one that’s $63 and wireless. And the black option shown here does not have the switch options you mentioned. What is happening
I am still using my "Masione LED USB Gaming Keyboard" after 8 years. I am looking for a white color one as a better alternative. Any suggestion please?
Ye for the Ractous RTK61P to be £114 instead of '35' is a bit if a pain and even some of the other keybords not being in the region like the rk h81. So ye great vid..
When I clicked on the link for the epomaker flamingo switches it says 30 switches so if I buy 2 sets that would me 60 switches but the redragon K530 pro is 61 switches
I decided to buy the number one keyboard but it ended up not working, the lights activate and the keys work when I tried to change the lights but my pc doesn’t react to the keys at all, even though it reacts to my other keyboard. Is this a problem with the keyboard or my settings on my pc?
Tecware phantom + is better imo only con is the lack of wireless and 3pin hotswap (not that you have to replace the switches as they're decent anyway compared to stock royal kludge switches) As it stands, RK H81 is their current best keyboard but maybe the upcoming M75 will dethrone it
thanks for the great vid, just wanted to point out that filiming the gateron optical switches transform them from a wobbly terrible switch to a very clean sounding and nice feeling one, as the main wobble is in the housing itself
Huh, good to know

I love that you skip right to the tier list, different than most tier lists.🥰
The keyboard rabbit hole. Once you get in, you can never get out.
