The disruptor is a pistol like weapon no one is gonna think “yeah this is automatic” especially since it has 10 round mag
Also the ravager. I had no idea it was a charge weapon.
like the saying goes, ""common sense"" isn't common
Bipbap shoots its in automatic form, that's how I knew it was automatic. Rip Bipbap...
CE magnum laughs in the background
@@Thecontentmustflow Okey, everyone knew it was a charge weapon so I can't spare you for this one
I thought the disruptor was semi auto for the entirety of the multiplayer "beta" until I held down the trigger for longer than usual while playing campaign and had an existential crisis while a grunt made fun of me.
That was an interesting day.
Wait a minute, I know you!
@@ACertainFilterBoss me too!
@@ACertainFilterBoss Wait, that’s illegal
A propaganda grunt once roasted me by saying: Okay okay, you beat us, but did you do it on legendary? HAH.
@@playerplus5917
I know someone who did.
It's not like it being full auto changes it from being the second slowest dps in the game, but I think it's very funny
ah yes my favorite fully automatic weapon
a pump action shotgun
It's fantastic, one of my favorites.
@@TimothyMark7 to be fair, slam fire is genuine shooting technique with certain shot guns in real life.
@@ChaoticMartian wait slamfire exists for shotguns?
@@TimothyMark7 ya, slamfire technically can exist on any gun, unintentional slamfire is called running away
I mean, none of the pistols in the game are automatic. I had to learn from a comment that the Disruptor is automatic cause, aside from the enemy rapid-firing it, you get no indicator that it's an automatic weapon.
sometimes, below the pickup icon, the game literally displays (in order):
[Range/Weapon Type] | [Ammo Type] | [Firing Mode]
It's a Brute Weapon, it oNly lOoKs likE a pIsTol.
@Introspective Rage.... is an smg.
CE magnum??
@@GiskardRevenlov They're saying there's no automatic pistols in Infinite.
We’ve also had pro-comp players calling for the mangler to get nerfed while the entire player base is scolding them for not wanting the game changed
Thats because in any other game pro-comp players get what they want. The mauler is completely fine how it is, they just like to bitch until the game is “perfect for them” meaning borderline unplayable for regular people
@@Will-mk5pj Shouldn’t be that way. The majority of the MTX money comes from the regular player base. They outweigh them significantly. Not comp league championship events. So frustrating.
@@d7656 Exactly! Pro players think they have sway when they’re just slightly more influential than the average player. Not the entire player base.
@@d7656 Personally i think "The Pros" should have access to a version of the game that gets all the nerfs and buffs they want, while the normal players get the occasional fix and tweak when necessary. We get to have our casual (and occasionally swear inducing) gameplay, and they get their "hardcore experience"
@@scoticvsgossage9378 that’s dumb because then they are playing something else that isn’t halo infinite but a game that they personally have perfectly suited to their needs and strategies
To be fair, it strongly resembles a previously semi-auto weapon so… it’d make sense if not everyone figured it out right away, especially if they just assumed they could pull the trigger as fast as they could fire🤷♂️
The Disruptor is like the Ray Gun from Zombies. You never think to hold down the trigger.
Don't you fucking tell me the ray gun is automatic...
Bruh wtf its automatic....
Wait, the Ray Gun is automatic???
this reply thred makes me happy, i didnt lean that till around erly coldwar
Hold on a minute... what
Did people really not know the Disruptor was full-auto?
The first thing I tried to do with it was charge it up, Like a Plasma Pistol, and was surprised that, instead, It just continuously shot bolts. ._.
Didn't know. I thought it just had slightly faster rof than the other pistols.
Me too, I can´t believe people found out just now about it.
Same
We are stupid
I genuinely thought I was the last to find out at the end of the beta. Now I feel a lot better about the discovery.
The first thing I do with a gun in any game is see if its semi or full auto, how did it take people so long?
because the first thing i do is play the game
A few factors I’m guessing it’s cause people don’t really use the disruptor much and see it as useless and rather use more meta stuff like the mangler or BR , or due to the common knowledge that most pistols are semi auto in fps games, this also applies to halo, not to mention halo infinite is free meaning not every one who is playing is a huge fan of the franchise and know all of its weapons so they still have to figure stuff out.
One I hardly use it enough to find out,
Two it looks like a pistol
@@Expressmusic457 yeah I'm not out here analyzing the properties and like doing the scientific studies on these guns 🤣
@@Expressmusic457 right the type of people who main fps games usually arent so inquisitive to be like "hmmm i see i see lemme test all of the guns before I hop in"

heh next youre gonna tell me that the commando is full auto
is WHAT
You’re best off pretending it isn’t xD
Dude, I learned this my first day playing the game (sometime late November). I thought it would have an overcharged shot and tested it, like, halfway through the first campaign mission
Campaign came out Dec 8th.

@@FlyingPenguin196 then don't expose yourself, stay in cover until you have a chance to kill them
First thing I did when the game released was go in and see what all the different additions and changes to the sandbox were. I don't understand how people didn't realize the disruptor was automatic.
Recoil control is why, people assume firing full auto or tapping fast is going to have horrific side effects, because it usually does.
My mind was simply this.
Pistol, semi auto. Got it. Never got further.
@@Ironfrenzy217 same
Bc thats not the first thing everybody did, my dood
Some of our lives don’t revolve around video game mechanics
I knew the disrupter was fully automatic but idk there’s something so weird about the fire rate that makes it feel more consistent when tapping it, maybe I’m just missing my shots when I’m holding it down but idk
It's probably the small magazine and lower damage making you want to be more careful with your shots as opposed to something like the AR where you have 36 rounds to dump on a target before you need to reload.
It kinda has bloom that's why it seems more inconsistent, the reticle expands as you keep firing it full auto
Eithher way it sucks. But ive also noticed that automatic fire seemed slow.
If it makes you feel any better, I've known the disruptor was full auto from launch. All I did was hold down the trigger.
Oh boy... bring on 2022
The Disruptor, Bulldog, and Pulse Carbine are all weapons that I had to play for a long time before realizing they were automatic... but not January long lol
When i picked up for the first time, somehow i knew it was automatic. I guess this was a reaction to it being a new weapon with new properties.
Dude, the Disruptor shots feel so weak that I instinctively knew it was full-auto. I immediately thought "Oh this thing's got to be full-auto." I don't even want to imagine tap-firing it.
Did people seriously think the disrupter was semi-auto? Is that why people shit on it? Because it's actually pretty good. As matter of fact when you go to pick it up, it tells you it's full-auto.
I’m mean it a 6 shot kill because of the electric damage

I was more surprised when I found out the Bulldog Shotgun is full auto
To be fair, it's more 'Slam fire' full auto. Just hold down the trigger, and keep slamming that foregrip back and forth.

“Guys we’re talking about Halo we’re hip like the kids right!” - Wendy’s
Not only the Disruptor and the Bulldog, but a lot of people (me included) just discovered that the Commando, Hydra and Plasma Carbine are automatic too lol.
The game literally tells you this with a description of the weapon damage, and fire rate when you walk over a weapon, or do a weapon drill.
THANK YOU!!
I don't understand how it takes people this long to figure that out smh
I though people knew about it being full-auto, I figured this out during the training level when getting three star to kill time before the campaign even launched.
The Disruptor's "Full Auto" is like the CE Magnum's "Full Auto". Oh by the way, Rocket Hog's turret is also Full Auto, but it actually does improve its ROF.
Love how a lot of players don't just naturally try to hold the trigger down on new guns.
Took me a few days to realise the Commando was full auto. I was expecting a reskinned DMR, not something from COD. But there is NO WAY the Disrupter is full auto.
This one was just lack of common sense
The first campaign trailer from 2010 literally showed off the Commando being shot in full auto
Weapon Drills specifically states that the weapon is full-auto
Most people when they first use the gun literally hold down the trigger cause they assume its full auto
It blows my mind how it took you THIS long to figure out the thing is fully automatic
0:18 yea I saw this on goggle and I was like "Hmmmmmm yes automatic gun is automatic."
Ever since I found out that I could hold the trigger to fire the Magnum in Halo: CE, I've tried holding the trigger on every weapon after CE to see which ones I don't need to keep pressing on and instead just hold the trigger on.
It's funny to me because the Commando, disrupter, and bulldog seem semi-auto but then act full auto when you hold the trigger. I learned this when playing with the commando and tried it out on different guns. I think the pulse carbine acts this way too!
I found out the disruptor was full auto quickly, but I was like “why tho” and I’m not surprised that a lot of people didn’t know that
Holds new “electric” type handgun. How does it work? Fire it
Aim to check scope
No alt fire
Does it charge? No it’s full auto.
How do people not drill new weapons in this exact order?
Like, I knew it from the beginning that the disruptor is automatic.
But what may shock you is...
The Bulldog is also automatic.
Wendy's is called in short as Fakkin by Japanese.
Putting the background the same colour as UA-cam dark mode was smart, I never would of clicked if I didn’t notice
I can’t be the only one who knew this lmfao. It’s one of my favorite guns in the game, arc damage is one of my favorite additions to Halo.
Yup… definitely gonna be a good year…
*begins to cry*
The firerate on the Commando is so slow you can fire it quicker just by tapping so I never realized it was automatic.
I actually get the Disruptor issue. The first three times I played Gears of War 2, I was certain the Hammerburst was semi because its rate if fire is so sedate. Then a friend I was playing with held down the trigger and ripped through a 20-round magazine.
The Weapon Drills literally teach you more about each weapon, it was thanks to that I know the Disruptor and Bulldog are full auto, and this was the first day the MP dropped (at least for the Disruptor since it wasn't available in the flights) the Bulldog I found that out day 2 into the first flight
People are slow
Had a situation like this back in Black Ops 2 with Raygun.
It's fire rate is so low that it might as well be semi auto.
That's like calling the magnum from CE automatic.
Listen people. The Bulldog, Disruptor, Hydra, Pulse Carbine are all full-auto. I myself was quite dumbfounded by this.
Didn't think I was gonna say this, but thanks Kotaku for that article.
had nobody really thought about holding the trigger down for that gun just a little longer? dang guess I'm smart now
I actually don’t blame them for not knowing the disruptor is automatic, it’s a pistol and pistols are usually semi-auto and also when the disruptor is on the ground and you look at it, it says it’s semi-auto
It took me a day or two to realize it was full auto myself lol, but tbf, I like to let off short controlled bursts with automatic weapons
The firing rate for the disrupter doesn't really change if you hold it down and not spam, so honestly it would be hard to notice if you did it by accident. I only noticed by doing it accidentally.
I'm sorry, but that article title is comedy gold.
It's a known fact Redditors and Journalists aren't people so I wouldn't expect them to know anything.
ok you know what, when i started using the disruptor i was using it thinking it was a pistol, it never occurred to me to hold down the trigger as i fired it as fast as it fires on full auto XD
If it’s any consolation, didn’t know the needle rifle was full auto until reach came to MCC
That Wendy’s roast wasn’t very “brutal” lmao
No but to be fair, i only recently discovered that the needle rifle in Reach is fully automatic
First time I picked up the disruptor, I said "why is this full auto? Why has God forsaken us?" I also have this feeling about the commando, because why?
I knew it was automatic and I thought the community knew that also, so when I see people now realizing this, it makes me question the community
0:46 i already knew, i tried every weapon in the training mode.
I 100%’d the entire campaign, and played almost a week of multiplayer before I learned the disrupter was full auto.
Shhh... don’t tell people my secret weapon, they will catch on to how to use it😂
Disruptor: *Is automatic*
Me: Then fucking act like it!
I only played for a couple weeks before the campaign was released but I still follow halo content. I only realized after I stopped playing that the Commando was automatic 😳
You're not the only one, I was tap firing it this whole time until halfway through the game.
@@357unit lol wow, I thought people were joking when they said this.
But tbf, tapping it is the only real way to effectively use it.
Ok legit, I thought everybody knew that the disruptor was automatic. I just thought that people were clicking because it maximized the burn capability so I started just tapping as well XD.
The disruptor being automatic took me like 20 games to accidentally find out when I alt tabbed while holding the trigger, but did you know the Cindershot homes in on your reticle while aiming down sight? Or that getting out and back in your vehicle cancels a grapple jack?
I used to hate the Cindershot until I found out like what it even does, now it's a pretty epic gun
didn't happen to me with the disruptor
but the commando
lol
How was that a brutal roast? Someone's never been in a COD lobby before.
I found out the disrupter is full auto on the first day of the flight. Its not that hard to figure out. No big shock moment, I had a bigger moment of shock when I learned that the disrupter was a banished weapon! I thought it was UNSC. And I thought that the hardlight weapons may be UNSC since their design looks man-made
Game has been out for months and only now people are figuring out how to use the disruptor. Man I can feel their IQ lvl from my hearing this
I'm surprised that people are just now discovering this
I didn't actually know it was fully automatic, this has changed everything
Ashamed to admit that I didn't know the bulldog was automatic...I mean I really just thought I had to slam fire semi auto the thing...
"I know that I'm not the only oneeeee~" - Sam Smith, probably.
Disruptor IS one of my favourite weapon in game
I think it shoots slow enough that it doesn't make a difference
I feel like alot of people also dont know that the needle rifle from Halo Reach is full auto.
I thought everyone knew the disruptor was automatic… damn lmfao
0:22 I am guilty of this one... yeah 😕🙁
I knew too... like for sure man... like uhh... used it all the time.
Even used the special one in campaign and never used it like the pistol one time....
Nope, not me!
I didn’t know for about a week after release until I was panicking and just held down the trigger after that I told ever lobby I was in with about it
Yeah I totally know that the Disruptor is an Automatic gun....
*proceeds to launch the game to test it out*
I miss the OG shotgun, I hope the shotgun comes along with season 2, or better yet, before season 2
Imma be real with you I think the only gun I didn’t know was automatic before 2022 is the Hydra, since it fires so slow you wouldn’t really think it’s auto.. But I thought it was obvious that the disrupt or was auto I figured that out of release.. i guess not. I mean idk
I'm surprised people didn't know the disruptor was auto.
We can only to up from he-ah screw it
Wait that thing was auto?
Yea all the disruptor hate confused me, I like it better than the sidekick
I am guilty too. But tbf I can't remeber the games even having a full auto pistol up to this point and full auto weapons usually got bigger clips than 10.
I also at first thought the commando was semi-automatic.
It’s essentially full auto the way the M3 greesegun is full auto: So slow you don’t really notice it. Literally I did notice it prior to the video but I still fire it semi anyway. If the Bulldog is full auto I’ll be surprised
I knew that the disruptor was full auto but I only discovered yesterday that the commando is automatic too. I always used it as a semi lol
actually, i knew since the beginning the commando was full auto, it's just that i never got to use it as a full auto, because i usually aim and shoot the head.
The CE Magnum does the same thing, hold down the fire button, keep firing util mag is empty
Dude how do people not know Disruptor is full auto, do they just assume every new gun is semi-automatic or something
Yeah id blame 343 for their confusing gun design, same goes for the commando that looks like a new drm, but its just a full auto sidekick
Rocket hog is full auto too, most people dont know and shoot twice as slow by spamming the trigger
The same is true for the Bulldog.
It might be automatic but with how slow it fires it might as well be semi automatic
Me: lmao how did those idiots not realize?
The Needle Rifle knowing full damn well that I didn't know it was full-auto:
Dude i discovered the disruptor is full auto on day one... people actually have less than 100 IQ out there
I HAD NO FUCKING IDEA THAT IT WAS FULLY AUTOMATIC!?
