"but I'm not competing against anyone" I love that line. It's so true. I just bought an MTB E-bike, and it's one of the greatest things I've ever purchased.
Too many cargo bike adverts focus on carrying 3 kids or 100kg of shit from B&Q but really there's no better reason to buy one than being able to cycle around Snowdonia with your dog. Absolutely sold.
Just bought a Load 60. I will take my girl (she gets a R&M Delite) and my dog (30lbs) and we will start traveling. Thanks for this wonderful inspiration. This helped me with my decision to invest so much money into a bike. Adventures ahead. All the best! Cheers.
This is exactly why I've been looking at this particular bike for a while now! I have a big awesome dog named Belle. She's half Mastiff and half German shepherd. 125lb dog. This looks like the only kind of bike that could carry her with me. I'd definitely bike a whole lot more knowing that I don't have to choose between that and spending time with Belle. She loves traveling in the car. It's just so dang expensive. lol. Seriously considering selling the car for one. Beautiful video!
Hey Vincent - year that's a heavy dog! I think the load capacity on the Load 60 is 100 kgs or 220lbs and I've ridden with that load (bags of gravel for my Dad... it was easier than a wheelbarrow) - you do feel it cornering etc but 125lbs, you'd be fine so long as she learns to sit still. We're out on the bike 3 or 4 days a week now whereas my old bike was just gathering dust. The new Bosch computers have a little tab on them where you can calculate how much money you're saving versus your car... which is nice but yeah I hear you about cost... I was coming from motorbikes so I just saw it like that.... mine would be paid off in 4 years I reckon but then you realise you can't put a cost on the improvement in your health and just how much happier you are cycling and not driving! Best thing I've done... really is....
@@the_search Yep. She's a very big girl. We just test rode the Load 75 today in Chicago! She just barely fits. Also Checked out the old model Packster 80 and she has room to spare in that (much wider!)... But I like the Load a whole lot more...whether 5,500 dollars more... I'll have to do some further rationalization. lol. I agree with you about it being worth it. I hate it when people say "why wouldn't you just buy a car for that price!" They don't get it. This would replace the car for most applications and more. Car would be relegated to super long distance where time is an issue. Though I would love to do a cross country tour with this and Belle someday.
I've been thinking about this for my dog, which coincidentally is also called Belle, a White German Shep so also not a small dog but a lot lighter than yours. I'd also be thinking about a way to charge my battery while I was away from the mains as well.
@@UKVampy that's so awesome! Yeah... I'm thinking maybe solar panels and just being very minimal with using the electric for maximum rang. I'm thinking one could get a little over 100 miles on this with the double battery using it conservatively. A century a day is huge on a bicycle! For steep up grades Belle can hop out and carry her weight. So combination of solar and dog power! That's also why i want this one instead of the old packster... it rides like a bike (albeit heavy) without power... the older motor you're fighting the gearbox.
You made my day. I don´t have today the money for this bike, but today you´ve given me a bright smile to this video. 🧡 I´m sure the bike´s price is worth it, because of the love to your dog 😻. I wish you all the best and thanks for this wonderful inspiration for the time with my dogs in nature. 💫
"E-bike is lazy" says the person taking his car to work every day. Let them talk. Who gives crap. "but I'm not competing against anyone" Well said. You just want to go out and have fun.
I haven't tried the 75 so I can't say I'm an expert. I would say the 60 is big enough to take a 70lb Retriever though so I would go with the 60 as it must be more manoeuvrable and less prone to fishtail in mud. I wonder if there's anywhere that has both for you to test ride...?
Hi! Everything sounds marvellous but I've got a question: what does it happen if you cannot charge the bike everyday? can you ride without engine or battery? Thanks!
We used to ride an urban arrow for five years. yesterday, we received our brand new load 75 and, inspired by your videos, we directly took it to some quite rough mountain trails nearby. It is awesome. I love it so much!
Hi! Assist is on constantly - most of the time on Eco... but still on... I don't think turning it off saves. much energy - on the flat eco probably doesn't drain much and on anything steeper you just can't ride without. I've got caught short a couple of times a mile from home and it isn't fun!
I have two dogs and I would like to do exactly what you do! Do you think two dogs the same size as yours would fit ? Your dog is the happiest dog on earth man! I really envy you guys ! I’m also a photographer/videographer and your content is impressive ! I’m very glad I ran into your video ! 👊 Do you have any suggestion for a cheaper solution? I’m a bit broke 😭and Riese Muller is really out of my budget. By the way , you should share your content on some Facebook groups like “never without my dog” or something like this and you would earn a loooot of followers !
Thanks Albert! I really appreciate the feedback. I'm not sure about a cheaper alternative - I haven't tried any other similar bikes but have heard there is nothing out there that can cope with the off road side of things... In terms of taking two dogs, there's space for them, it's just whether you can get them to play ball. My dog won't sit down when we're moving, she likes to be on all fours in the centre of the load area, as if she's doing a core workout - so how she'd fit with another dog side by side I'm not sure....
@@the_search we have cargo bikes to rent for 6 months in France now . I’ll give it a try and if it works I’ll get the same as yours hehe. See you in the wild ! 👊
I would very much like to know which bike is shown in the video. I would also like to have one so that I can go on bike rides with my dog. He is not allowed to ride his bike because of his HD
Wow I’m hooked!!! I’m also now subscribed! Found you via Galgos Del Sol where I volunteer dog walk. Alba is quite possibly the luckiest dog alive I reckon!!! Here’s me, at GDS: ua-cam.com/video/pYTpdrScAqU/v-deo.html
A bicycle is a tool: maybe a tool for recreation, maybe one for sport, maybe for utility. Sport purists are obnoxious, in my opinion. Just ride your own ride.
fancy bike but it's not realistic for most people. what most people need is a very short gear and some patience to get up the mountain. who told you it's cheating? i've never heard that
Yeah also it's that dastardly true story of where the battery came from for the e bike. Child labour, I bet your dog wouldn't like that. Sorry for being a buzz kil bud. Jesus is Almighty King.

What a wonderful video, quite lovely.
Loved the vid '...pack a bigger tent and maybe some more wine!'😂 more power to you and your dog
this video shows that you do not need to have much to create a life full of memories
Really great , i love both the dog and his loving owner. Admirable for everybody who loves dogs as much as I do ...
This is special ad to that bicycle model, to ebikes, to our dogs, to travel, etc ❤️❤️

What an awesome video, a good kick in the arse to get out and live life.
Thank you
This short film is so perfectly beautiful….. and inspiring. Thank you.
One of the best films I’ve seen in a long time. Inspirational 👍
Thanks Mark! Kind words...
beautiful video, great companion you got there :)

Amazing and your dog is just gorgeous!
thank you - she is!
simply fantastic... Beautifull
What a beautiful ad.
Beautiful!
Complimenti, il video è molto bello. Anche io non lascio mai il cane a casa, e guarda che combinazione, ho appena ordinato una R&M Multicharger.
Well said! Its not a competition! Im sure back in the day, the cowboys on horseback probably said automobiles were cheating too.
Beautiful video! Can you tell us where was this filmed?
I have an e-bike, and I have a trailer. I’ve just rehomed an adult lurcher, and plan to introduce him to bike and trailer as soon as he’s settled in.
I love this SO SO MUCH
thank you!
So cool 😮❤🎉
I want 1 too! Then get a dog! Yes!

Sorry is there. Link to purchase this bike I can’t seem to find it online
Where are you based Lucy? If in the UK, I'd go here: edemo.bike/riese-and-muller-load-60-e-cargo-bike
This video is the most convincing Load advertisement I have ever seen.
(Although I personally dont like dogs.)
Glad you liked it Tobi!

No, you bought YOURSELF an electric bike 😂😂 but you like taking your dog with you, that is ok. Now seriously, great idea!! Have fun you both!
I need this bicycle for my dog
And how you charge the battery in the mountains?
You stop at pubs and have a pint. The bike has a 100mile range so in the UK you're never going to have an issue so long as you plan a little...
Do you ride with asist on or off all the time

Riese & Muller Load 60 with chain and derailleur. Double battery. Best bike ever.
I responded to someone who shouted out to me “that’s an ebike, but that’s cheating.” “ No it’s not I am not racing anyone.”
Pablo from Bikecanine it’s been cycling thousands of kilometers with 2 dogs on a regular bike! He, Pizza and Hippy just crossed Europe, just saying!
Oh, that's a great channel they have. I hadn't seen their videos and also wish I spoke Spanish but thanks for the tip...
