Man, I would love a video on how to price or create a pricing structure for shooting products/lifestyle for businesses. I swear you made a video like this before, but I can’t remember lol.
1) Flat Lay
2) Action Candid
3) Macro / Fine Details
4) Backdrop Product Shot
5) Environment Photo
This is helpful. Places like Amazon need 7 slots (including a video), so for the 6th one you can do the mandatory white background and upsell a product video.
I've been a pro photographer for a few years , and I still found this video useful. I've been trying to make a shift towards more commercial work, and I'm glad I clicked on this video.
Thank you for watching! Makes me happy to get a comment like this cause that’s ways the goal!
My boy droppin diamonds! 💎 Bring the sneakers pics back to the gram
Agreed 💯
Ohh and kudos making this awesome video! I watched some prod photography courses and most start like "we're gonna use a 3 light setup with studio strobes that cost 5K a piece". I LOVE that you used natural light and a single light and some basic color paper. Photography costs a ton, it's hard to justify buying lens for 700-1,2K a body and some light, backdrop, tent, table, props, etc for another 2-3K so nice that you don't need to have all that right at the start 🙂👏
2:40 how the tire just stopped at the right point to show the "LEGO Group" readable on top, so smooth 😎
New photographer here. I'm totally doing this! Thanks for sharing.
this video came at the perfect time for me. just got sent my first products to shoot for a company
I've been away from this channel for a while. I came back with this video and immediately regret the time I have spent not following you. Had to pull out pen and paper to write down all that amazing information which I am sure I will include in my workflow in the future. Great stuff Evan, thanks a lot for sharing all this information with us and putting a lot of work into it making it amazingly enjoyable.
After building a few of these kits, seeing you pour out the parts onto your table hit me with the anxiety of losing them haha
I appreciate being able to come back to this video and use it for ideas to practice my photography. Keep up the good work.
Those colors are amazing just pops
Thank you for this video!
really, you did a great job with the coloring of the video
You almost made me buy the Lego Raptor! You are such great photograph!
That look like it took forever to build! Mad props!
It´s been a while since I had to give up photography because de pandemic stop the business, but after watching this video I really want to quit my actual job a get back to product photography.

Thanks, product photography is what I'm practicing next.
Thanks for this. Really helpful. I’ve being doing general stock for years and due to age I’ve recently been forced to do more product stuff at home especially as winter hits Scotland. 👍
Hell yeauh, thank you Evan.
I have the Aston Martin db5 build in the box waiting on doing a video for. all the concepts shown were exactly what I was thinking of doing. thank you for the great info at the end!
This is a high value video, thanks for the info Evan. Really enjoyed this one.

@2:22 That piece on the far right is never to be seen again.
Your COLOR is SO good. Do you have any tips or tricks for Sony users? Or any LUTs I can buy?

Great video man! Awesome tips! Yeah I was at a point and just don't know where to go. Thanks for the direction.
Super insightful - thanks Evan!
This is very informative and helpful for a beginner in photography just like me
Love this. Inspired me for a few photo ideas this week.
Always good content man!
My biggest question: what if I don't have a hobby outside of photography (digital, analog)? I like movies, books, some gaming, walking, traveling (although nowadays that's not easy), but there isn't a thing I know like you know sneakers.
What could be a decent subject to start practising product shots (especially without the heavy use of models)?
super helpful! also, just got in your book today! excited to look through it!
Love to hear that! Thanks for watching!
GOAT!!
I can’t lie, I want an orange Lego Raptor and I have 0 interest in Lego or Trucks. Top video and really well put together
So helpful!!! :))))
Thanks for the advice, man! It's always helpful and appreciated!
Thanks for watching!
@@RanftEvan No, thank you for the inspiration, man... gonna work on a video I've been taking to long to upload NOW! Haha Your videos are inspiration
Subscribed 👍
Great channel;)
Love this video Evan!! Planning some moves on a new venture and this is going to be our beginners guide!! How long did this entire shoot take if you don’t mind me asking??
I see that Jacko Willink book!
Great book!
Appreciate the tips! By the way, what version of the apple watch are you rocking with?
I hope you don't mind me asking, but what photo printing company do you use for your mounted prints?
How are you liking the sigma 105? I read it has lower hitrate. I bought 12-24,24-70 by sigma for Sony. But opted to get the tokina Firin 100 macro instead of the Sigma
Can I ask how you go about reaching out to these companies? Or these companies reaching out to you rather. I’ve always wanted to work for specific companies or ones similar but its not like I have a following on social media so people see my work and I feel like emailing some companies a portfolio just seems too forward?? Idk! Would love to hear about that topic if you haven’t already. Great video btw!
Most freelance clients for me are gained through networking and in person interactions. That’s what I always recommend but there’s nothing wrong with sending an email. It comes off as confident!
Great video
And truck 👌
Thanks for watching!
Hey @Evan, just getting to this video now, very late in catching up with my photog videos. With that macro shot, do you always auto focus or do you ever manual focus?
🎯🙏🏿🇧🇧 Brilliant
Evan you beast
Appreciate it!
Thank you for this. Comment 78
God I love new video days.
Appreciate you watching!!
If you can’t spend that much on something like the LEGO Ford Raptor to product photograph, but want something similar to shoot to get a starting 5 images, what can you recommend Evan?
Thank you so much for this video and a few others I ave found/watched. I am just starting out my own photography business and need to build a portfolio.
Thank you for your time 🙏
Maybe a smaller Lego set? It should still have all the elements but in a smaller package
@@survey789 I did just that in the end. A nice Jeep Wrangler!
nice
👊💯
I clicked to watch you play with Legos
I can do the JAB! And i love the word...Buzzzinessss ;). Thank You'alllllllll, Your my BOY Blue! Your MY BOY ;)
First!
🙏🙏🙏
Truth is product photography is dying and being slowly replaced by 3d
Well if _you_ can make it, anyone can. Because these examples are *terrible!* All except maybe 2. I feel bad for all the people who believe UA-camrs, instead of actual professionals. I wouldn't pay you a DIME for any of these shots! This is NOT quality product photography.
Great video! Loved it
