My sister in law graduated with Hardy she said he seemed like a loaner didn’t really seem like he had a lot of friends. Jokes on them cause now he’s a millionaire. Shout out to my people in Philadelphia Mississippi. Miss them late night dirt roads
My husband died in a motorcycle accident 2 years ago and I Know he hit those gold streets on two wheels! He was definitely a wild one, but also saved by the grace of God! He’d make you wonder if he got through the pearly gates. This song is gut wrenching to me- but dang does it describe him perfectly. Give Heaven Some Hell and Hold it down till I get there, Mark Gilbert. Gone way too soon! 5/9/74-3/10/21
Being a pallbearer is no joke, I wanted to be one for my Grandpa, but as soon as I went to lift I had no strength, I'm as stong as an ox, and almost as smart, but at that moment, I might as well have been 6 years old. That was one of the hardest moments in my life.
Hardy is in Blake's video...Come Back as a Country Boy! When Blake sang he would've never got kissed if he didn't play a lick like this, Hardy was was making out with a girl & he lifted his head & said Hell Right!! 😎🎤
keep going down the Hardy rabbit hole -- just about everything he writes turns to GOLD
he's up there making some thunder!! givin heaven some hell!!
I lost my grandfather recently. This song always makes me think about him and all the trouble we used to get in to together. He taught me so much
I love this because its more like he's celebrating his friends life rather than fixating on his death. Which is so much easier said than done! My favorite part is when he's talking about the call to the altar; "...heads bowed singing just as I am..."
Such an incredible line!
I heard this song the day after my younger brother died… couldn’t make it even through the first verse…. Cried my eyes out. Kept on trying ( and crying), every day till I could make it through the whole song. Still brings back memories of my brother- he was a lot like the man who died - miss him dearly! Love your reaction!
First time hearing this song and I'm crying like a baby .I lost my 27 yo son in 2013 hearing this reminds me of him I can see him going just that Giving Heaven some Hell.
Also, he seems like he's just a laid back, humble guy!
My absolute favorite song by hardy. Great reaction
Wish this was out when my father passed, inside his casket it said gone fishing see you when y'all get here.
I LOVE Hardys music. Not only are his lyrics awesome, he seems to also be as a person
Very grounded. And I understand his lyrics where others might not because like Hardy, I was raised in country. I'm from Alabama, so in this song where he references locking in the hubs, I smiled. Memories of being a teen and going mud riding in the pastures. We had to lock in the hubs to get traction we needed so we didn't get stuck! I'm 60 now, but I'll never forget mud riding, locking in hubs and doing doughnuts in the fields at night. 🙂
You gotta start with the mockingbird and THE CROW. It’s his perfect intro to his rock and explains his journey through music
0p00
The mockingbird and the crow, JACK, and I AIN’T IN THE COUNTRY NO MORE-probably 3 of my favourite Hardy ‘rock’ songs. If you want to hear a really well written song by Hardy I would suggest A Rock.
11:32 love watching you and your sweet wife.
Thank you for reacting to this song. I’m an old school country lover but love Lainey and a few of the new artists but this song made me really want to dive deeper into Hardy and his music. Great great song!!
The reality is that raising hell doesn’t mean that you are committing sins.
I have seen Hardy in concert multiple times before the rest of the world caught on to how amazing he was. He puts on the best show I have ever seen which is saying a lot. I love all genres of music. His concerts were better than any genre, any artist ever. Another of his songs you need to check out is "A Rock" with your wife!
Saw him two years ago open for MW and he was great. Saw him again last night and he was just on another level. Guys a great performer. Also had a tornado last weekend a few miles from us and he donated some food and clothes. Shout out
I love that Hardy is making a point to emphasize the fact that dedicating your life to God doesn't mean the fun is over. To the contrary. When he followed his friend down the aisle to "pray that prayer", he was signing up for an eternal hang. The fun will resume, It won't be immediate but till then... Give Heaven Some Hell. Genius writer.
My father passed and this song got me through it. He died 1 year ago. This song is exactly how he was. I saw him live and this song gave me chills.
I love me some HARDY ✨ he’s an amazing song writer and I love his voice I’m so happy he is out on his own 🎤🎶✌🏽country storytelling is life 🎶🥰
I lost a brother in a house fire and ik they're all wondering how did u get here? But ik our God has a special place 🎉for us all and til then give HEAVEN SOME HELL ,My brother. I sure do miss u here with us all❤😢😢😢
Ally said you are very patriotic in the other reation. Here are 2 songs I think would mean a lot to you. The 8th of November by Big and Rich. It's a true story about the man in the video and his military brothers. And God bless the USA by Lee Greenwood, Home Free and the Military choir. It gives me chills
This was the last song we had played at my dad's funeral at the beginning of February this year.
This song makes me think of a good friend of mine I lost to brain cancer in 2019. I saw Hardy in 2021 and cried when he played this song. 😭 I have tickets to see him twice this year, and I am SO excited. He is my favorite.
Great reaction! Check his cover on Puddle Of Mudd "Blurry", Then look up Sold Out. Hardy was here (Salt Lake) last year
After my nephews suicide one of his best friends sent me this song. Cry and laugh everytime I hear it. So completely Jacob.
Hardy is SUCH a good song writer. And you and your wife are adorable together. ❤️ Thank you for reviewing this song.
This song played on the radio the day after my dad passed and now this song reminds me of him
i lost my dad this june. its been real tough. i wanted 20 more years but i know hes up there waiting for me and he was a wild child in his younger years so im sure he is having alot of fun.
Just saw Hardy open for Morgan Wallen this past year, and the dude is amazing. I've been listening to him ever since, and he's quickly become a favorite. I'm going to see him headline in October!
He wrote songs for MW
In an interview he said the reason this song wouldn't be popular on radio
Is because the song used Heaven and Hell in the same line
"Sold Out" "Boots" other Hardy music
I loved the part where he said, "how'd you clear with the man upstairs?" And the part about "I was there when you raised your hand, heads bowed, singing Just As I Am" is a song of salvation when one accepts Jesus as their Lord and Savior. Hardy is an exceptional talent! Thanks for doing this!
I thought he said hide your clear from the man upstairs , like clear the song for alcohol. But maybe I heard wrong 😂 either way this song is awesome 👌🏻
@@nickarenas2423 - you might be right! And I agree, awesome song!
I think @Nick Arenas is probably right ... "hide your beer, hide your clear from the man upstairs ..." I've thought since the beginning that he was talking about Everclear, which is a wicked 190 proof grain alcohol that'll knock you off your feet very quickly. Good grief, I don't even know how I drank that stuff in my younger years, it tastes like gasoline, but it was cheap then and an easy way to get a buzz very quickly with a small amount of alcohol. It might be more of a midwest/southern thing, idk, but I once had a friend stand on a high diving board, pour clear on himself, light it on fire and jump in, so ... there's that. In my mind that completely fits with the visual I built in my head about his adrenaline seeking buddy. (BTW, don't try that at home, Kids. He burned all the hair off of his body and had wicked burns in some uncomfortable places since it also burned his swim trunks.) But I will also say that it would completely NOT be the first time I have misunderstood lyrics! LOL.🤣😂
@@Melly01 I wondered also if he was talking about Everclear ...
@@nickarenas2423no you heard it right, hide your beer, hide your clear from the man upstairs is the correct line.
Absolutely love this song. My cousin passed away in a car accident a little over a year ago and this got me through it. We played it at his balloon release and funeral. Brings me to tears every time I hear it now. Today is actually his birthday💙Some other songs that get me through it is Save the Roses by Lee Brice & Beat You There by Will Dempsey (was actually released the day before we lost him💔)
This is such a great song. I lost my mom 2 years ago and this really made me smile because I'm sure she is in heaven raising hell with her sister, because they loved to cause it here! Hardy is an amazing writer.
The ending scene "Make some thunder, make em' wonder how you got in"
You’ve got to check out “A Rock” with your wife. His pen is just too smooth.
His song titled "A Rock" is another example of his amazing song writing skills. Hope you get around to it!
My father passed away this past Sept. and I heard this song right after he died. I play it every day thinking about my Dad.
Lost my best friend and my love just over 3 months ago there are so many songs like this that I listen to just to make it through the day
Enjoying your trip through country music
I lost one of my best friends along with two other people I knew a few months back. This song helped me get through one of the hardest times of my life and became one of my favorite songs. I’m so grateful for this song
Saw Hardy open for Cole Swindell up here in Canada and he stole the show. He is the Kid Rock of Country. First time in 20 years I bought the sweat shirt from his booth at the show lol lol
Another great Hardy song is Sold Out. It is much more rock and it does have some colorful language but overall it's a song that gets you hyped!
So, Hardy actually released a response song to this song called "Drink One For Me." Phenomenal song. Highly recommend you give it a listen.
This song brings tears to my eyes everytime i hear it. I lost my brother 20 years ago and this song reminds me so much of him.
Was plated at dads funeral 2 years ago
You should definitely check out Radio Song by HARDY ft. Jeremy McKinnon. It’s the most country song you’ll ever hear in your life, but also the most metal country song you’ll ever hear in your life. It’s actually brilliant. I saw someone say Hardy created a new genre of music called “Yee-mo” 😂😂😂
At 17 I lost my best friend to a car crash. I hope he's continuing to give heaven some hell while he waits for me
Him and Morgan Wallen are very close friends and they write a lot of music together along with Ernest.
Check out a song called “Rednecker”
Great Reaction...Hardy can rock also, but for a great song on a play for words check out "Rock"
I’m seeing him in concert with Morgan Wallen in April….can not wait
He's more like Tupac as a songwriter....amazing Hardy is the best these days
Glad you’re checking out Hardy. Told you you he won’t disappoint ❤. He wrote a new song on his album from his friend’s perspective in heaven called Drink One Fo Me🍺 You should follow up and listen to the audio version of it. 🔥reaction guys 😎👍🏾🙏🏾
First time I didn't get the song, Just as I Am, great song of salvation.
You’ll have to listen to “Drink One For Me.” It’s on his new album and it goes with this song.
This is actually one of the songs I dedicated to my mom who pasted away in 2020
Lyrical genius for sure
Colorado Country Jam in Mack, Colorado is a 2-3 day event. Definitely within your driving range being just over the Utah/Colorado border. RV camping on site. Rent an RV for the 2-3day event. Top Country Stars and plenty of them. Jumbo Screens make it so everyone can see it all.
I really like this guy! I doubt I would've even heard of him if not for Stay in the Truck (Also a great song!) Thanks for reacting to this!
Some other Hardy songs that I like the way he uses his words are "A Rock", "screen" and "happy." As far as his rock songs I would suggest "JACK" and "the mockingbird and THE CROW".
I cannot choose my favorite Hardy song. They are great. The Rock, Mockingbird and the Crow. Cannot get enough. Just enjoy!
I saw Hardy perform this live when he opened for Morgan Wallen in SLC. Honestly it was a very special experience for me! He sounds so good live, and Morgan Wallen sounds just like his studio songs live!! Both are very worth seeing
Man! mockingbird and THE CROW…. nuff said! It has to go down as one of the greatest albums of all time! And you know Morgan and Hardy are best buds right? Both are just as good hearted and down to earth as you said. Love ‘em both! ♥️ Theres a song on ‘mockingbird’ ….. Drink One For Me that seems to be sung from the perspective of this friend that’s gone. Hardy’s genius! Also, check out Hardy with Morgan on Morgan’s new album One Thing At A Time, ‘In The Bible.’ ♥️
You must check out Signed Sober You by @hardy and he’s amazing in concert 🎶
This song reminds me of my cousin who passed a few years ago. He was a great person, but was battling his own addiction. I believe he's happy now. Thanks for the reaction 💖🦋
Hardy paints such a vivid picture with his songs. My new favorite also 💗
you should check out HARDY "drink one for me " all HARDY songs are fantastic. if your looking for one of his rock songs check out "I ain't in the country no more ", " kill shit till I die " , ".30-06", and "sold out "
The reason he was able to be joyful at the funeral, is because of what happens at 5:37.
Even in death, that moment delivered an irreversible peace.....and a peace that's beyond all understanding.
Great reaction...love watching you discover each of these Hardy songs!
Apparently I've been under a rock (no pun intended)...I'm just now discovering Hardy myself.
Also consider checking out Ernest-Flower Shop with your man crush Morgan Wallen lol. Ernest is another songwriter who released his new album too. Him and Hardy are touring with Morgan Wallen this year. That’s gonna be an amazing tour! Keep up the great work ❤
When you lock in the hubs,,,,,, it’s lock into 4 wheel drive and will climb out of any mud hole or up a rock hill. And for some reason it’s freaking fun
I lost my wife to cancer 9 months ago. We played this song. Anyone that knew her knows this is fitting. Another to Chek out is " never not remember you" by Cooper Alan
the mockingbird & THE CROW. Love his new titles, because all country songs are in lowcase and rock songs are in capital letters with his new album. So this song is both! SUCH A GREAT SONG!!
This song came out when my oldest friend passed away and it makes me think of her every time I hear it! Love this song!
Must see him Live! He’s amazing.
Rednecker is another Hardy song you should check out. He is an amazing singer/songwriter
Powerful ❤
His song A Rock is so good! It’s crazy how good of a song writer he is.
If you like that check out "Drink one for me" from his new album. it is the follow-up to this song from the point of view of his buddy in Heaven
I’m subscribing just because you’re part of the Rat Kingdom. Love Theo
I love how when he walks down the aisle his buddy is walking with him then it's just him.
If you are looking for rock songs mockingbird and the crow, jack, sold out, or truck bed, but my favorite by him is boots it’s his first start into rock and it’s a great song
Hardy “Drink one for me” is like the response to this song looking down on his friends from heaven. I
I love Hardy. You should react to his song "one beer"
I know I’m 9mo late on this video and I actually came across it by accident.. this is the 2nd song I have on repeat every single day I drive to and from work. I lost my first sister in 2018, I lost my 2nd sister in April of 2023, my dad in June, and my mom had a massive stroke August first that almost took her as well.. I hope this is seen but another song that is my number one on repeat I would HIGHLY recommend if you’re able to listen and haven’t already is Number to Heaven by Justin Champagne! God bless 🙏🙏
I think you would also love One Mississippi if you haven't already reviewed it. I love some of the new country stars.
Ok, Alli, we need a skincare regiment! You’re flawless!!!
He is good singer/songwriter but my favorite singer/songwriter of all time is a man that needs no introduction. The legendary rock singer/songwriter Mr. Bob Seger.
I would say Chris Stapleton
@@lincolnlewis6979 good one! There are many.
Been waiting for you to do a reaction video to this song! 🙌🏽🙏🏽, also the sequel to this song is “Drink one for me” off his new album.
Check out the clever writing that is in his song, Rock.
Hardy- the mockingbird and the crow
Hardy.....Jack. Very good song. 🤘😉🤘
Raised your hand and said that prayer is excepting Christ and Amazing Grace and Just as I Am are often benediction songs, the words are deep in this one, lost my brother in 2012 to drugs and this one kinda hits home hope he is holding it down waiting on me to come drink some clear and lock those hubs in as well!
I love seeing you two talking about matters of faith. : )
I love this song because it reminds me of my Dad who passed away in December of 2016. Something that stuck with me was how he had a line of people out side the church to say goodbye along with near half of town there to say goodbye at his wake. But the most interesting thing I learned about him after he passed away was how wild people thought he was and how much he was respected by those people too. This year on December 3rd will be 7 years. They may have been the most painful years after he was gone but I am thankful for the years I had with him and the memories that came with them.
Man your wife is gorgeous. I can see how you looked into her gorgeous eyes and just melted..
💙💙💙
New subscriber here! Love your channel, especially your country reactions. You introduced me to Hardy, even though I’m a huge country music fan. Love him now!
So entertaining. Love seeing your wife as well💛
My grandson was killed in a wreck this past Valentine’s Day. I smiled and thought of him. Forever 16 now ❤
I love when Ali reacts with you. She is sweet, humble and beautiful. You make a great couple. Loved this song and your reaction.
