I had a patella dislocation 2 weeks ago. After doing a lot of sitting around for two weeks (can't walk yet, and don't want to try with my knee still unstable until the tendons heal a bit), I'm trying some water-walking in a pool as one of my first PT's (can practice walking again with good form and at chest level, only about 10% of the pressure). But for extra assurance, I'd still love to find a knee brace intended to A- stabilize the knee cap (doesn't look like yours is for that, no support around you kneecap) and B- is waterproof. Having a hell of a time finding one. I can't be the only dude with this issue. Especially surfers! A surfer with an unstable knee needs my two requirements AND saltwater-proof as well! Can't figure out who makes what I need.
No kidding! When doing research for this show I was super amazed to discover the lack of waterproof options. I checked in with a colleague who is a sports medicine orthotics specialist and he has created custom braces for watersports. He showed me a bunch photos of some really beautifully engineered carbon fiber knee braces he's made for patients. But dang, making one of these is a lengthly process and extremely expensive. He suggested I look into the DonJoy Defiance. I think for a patella brace, you'll find that most of these will perform pretty well even when wet: www.donjoystore.com/knee-injuries?injuries=479
Love your videos. Thanks for all your content and info! Tore my ACL and meniscus 3 yrs ago. Stopped my snowboarding/ski/wakeboarding. too rough on the knee. Efoiling works and is easy on the knees and back. Thanks for your videos, always helpful and fun to watch!
Video the drone is set to a preprogrammed path at 23.5 MPH so I'd guess I'm traveling somewhere around that. Perhaps slightly more since I'm keeping pace while carving. The drone slows down as it gets to key points in the program like when it takes sharp turns or when it comes into dock. There it might be going as slow as 15-17 mpg. Then I try my best to go wide so it can keep me in frame.

Thanks. I'm glad to be a benefit to my audience.
Nice video, again!
How fast are you normally moving? I'm only 13-15 mph most of the time.
