What guitar, amp, pedals are you using for this grade 8 rock and pop exam? Or what budget gear would you recommend for grade 8? Does guutar gear matter in the exam or the examiners only evaluate our timing, feel, dynamics, techniques, does the guitar gear and guutar tone carry weightage in the exam?

The songs that he played are for Trinity grade 8 rock and pop but better get grade 8 book cause u are only supposed to phrase and embellish freely on "Always with me always with you" .... But in "The trooper" and "Sweet child oh mine " there are no such guidelines to phrase and embellish freely only on the improvise section u can do it but not every where in the song .....he skipped so many sections in sweet child o mine and the trooper ......if this is the video that he send for his exam i m shocked..... Cause i m also in grade 8 rock and pop and my teacher told me to stick to the book he is a ATCL so guys anyone watching this video get a book go through it once ..... This guy played all the 3 technical focus pieces and was good but he didn't played it under the guidelines of TCL.... What he played will go well during live performance in public but not in grade exam .... I might be wrong but better stick to the book... Precaution is better than cure...

Hi I have the trinity book grade 8 with me and in the trooper and other songs, they have given space for the solo section, that means you are supposed to improvise on it..
