The engines of the Ffarquhar branch are in for the shock of their lives after they hear an old legend about a ghost diesel with a taste for steam and (even more terrifying) a large mechanical claw!
Hey everyone! Welcome to my first Halloween video of 2022, a batch of stories I'm branding as Sudrian Stories From Hell! This is one of my favorite stories I’ve written, and I’m super pumped to finally get to share it with you guys. I’ve always wanted to try my own take on Diesel 10, a character with a cool design that the TV series unfortunately was never able to get quite right. This was a very trying video to make, however I’m very proud of the end result, and sincerely hope you’ll enjoy it. Thanks for dropping by! -Rhen

Diesel 10 may be scary, but he's really useful.
I'm a 23 year old grown ass man watching a Thomas the Tank Engine fan film and I'm genuinely enjoying it. Diesel 10 was one of my worst childhood fears. What a fantastic kids villain. Nowadays when I watch old scenes from the Magic Railroad, I realize how funny Diesel 10 actually was. Thanks for this. It really brought back a sense of enjoyment from my childhood.

Does anyone notice 2 things:
1. The engine that Diesel 10 tares down the little engine is a recolor of Lady
2. The viaduct is where D10 was originally defeated
I think the engine actually is Lady. It’s just the lighting that makes it looks like a recolour.
What a way to kick off this series! I love how you did Diesel 10. When I saw Edward going with the breakdown train I knew Diesel 10 had taken somebody and I was like "NOOOOOOOOOO PERCY" then once we knew he was alive I thought I was wrong so the brake van reveal was unexpected making it better and more horrific. Also having the screen glitch when D10 arrived on the viaduct made it even scarier to me

The effects for him showing up greatly helped, but this is like with the half engine, why did these two entities leave their targets alive, the half engine only cut gordan's express in half somehoe when she charges him, and d10 frightened person so much he he went into shock, but only took out the breakdown van?
This was so incredible! I’m not one of having Diesel 10 portrayed as a ghost/supernatural being, but when it’s executed correctly, I can surely get behind it! Keep up the great work!
Diesel 10 is terrifying alone with that claw. Imagine if his claw was possessed!
@@erinjohnson6142 Thankfully it's fine as a normal claw and no more. Diesel 10 became evil on his own accord by hating steam engines and wants to get rid of them and not by anything else. Surely, you understand, right?

Brilliant! Absolutely brilliant! Lately within the fandom may people have played with the idea of Diesel 10 being supernatural ,but you’re the only one to pull it off!
Imagine if he's parodyed as Scar from the Lion Guard.
Really? Before this story, the only one who made him one was Turtle, who made him a Pennywise sort of entity.
I just don't get why the manager didn't have Diesel10's claw removed. But. It is a good story and feels like a real episode. Really good
Seeing diesel 10 as a ghost really made me impressed for the first story for Halloween 2022, quite gotten some goosebumps on watching it, still nice work on this first episode for stories from hell Rhen. 🎃👍

Now that is Fang-tastic! I love your own take on Diesel 10 and gave him his own backstory of how he became a living nightmare to every engine!
For some scenes where Percy first saw him on the viaduct with that screen-freeze and at the end, as well as what happened to the guard really caught me off guard and did scared the creeps out of me. Overall, I still really enjoyed it!
It's nice but I think he's perfect as mysterious and that he became evil of his own choice by hatred and ambition and not by anything else since the claw is only normal. No offense.
Diesel 10 is one of my favourite villains from the series and making him the ghost train in the story, this is really downright scary!!!! Best ghost stories I've ever watched!!! Wonderful writing!!!

Aw, man... This is taking the whole monsters-aren't-born-they're-made idea to a whole new level. Pinchy simply gave D10 here way too much power. And the manager paid dearly for it. I'm surprised D10's ghost never came after him for revenge...
Percy is the last one you'd expect to disrespect a ghost story, after what we've seen in the show. It's like the reverse of "Silent as the Grave".
As for the conductor... Well, at least there wasn't a trail of blood left behind. Perhaps there's hope.

I don't know if you wrote this yourself but if so, jesus Christ you know how to give a person chills. You don't really see many scary stories that make you want to turn the lights on but this really does. Great job, can't wait to see what you have planned next!

This is for me one of the best Thomas Trainz Videos. The narration,music and visuals are great. The story is really interesting and also really spooky. My favorite scene was when the men arrived for work and Diesel 10 was smiling evil at the engine he scrapped.The claw really changed Diesel 10 in to pure evil. I would love to see a next part of this. But I’m also looking forward to see more of your stories. Great work my man!
That would put a different twist if TATMR if they're actually supernatural. Maybe Diesel 10 had this back story. Then now lady is out to protect the other steamies, and won't rest till diesel 10 is stopped for ever. Then day 10 gets an army together to try to take over. Lady gets over whelmed, but percy trys to help her, because he seen 10. He goes to try to tell his friends, but they wont listen until 10 show up tear down the sheds. Now that they believe percy. They join percy and Lady. She gives them shadow forms that they can switch back and forth. For example Thomas shadow form is known as timothy. (I understand people would hate timothy idea but it would make more sense. Then an engine losing his mind "possessed by a demon" and running off an unfinished viaduct and try to kill his brother.) Now Percy and team now have the power to stop 10 and his claw once from terrorizing and killing innocent engines and people.
Then 10 catches on to it and trys to manipulate the engines. Try to turn them agenst one another and brake their bond. That would be an interesting story, but that my opinion/ idea.

Diesel 10 had me running out of my parents’ bedroom in terror when I was three, so having him be a sort of evil spirit is perfect!
Tomatron channelling Simierski’s famous story narration of Fowler’s Ghost in this one! Love to see an old classic reference on another channel!
I got so scared, as I realized, the engine Diesel 10 killed, was Lady, which made me really upset
I've got a theory - Toad the brakevan may just be evil. After "trusting" Douglas to save him and Oliver (possibly as well as Isabel) from scrap in Escape, in the next story Resource and Sagacity - because of what happened to the Spiteful Brake Van in Donald and Douglas - even if Toad can't get even with Douglas for smashing his friend - he betrays Oliver, a fellow steamer by helping the trucks push him down the turntable well. Now Toad has his revenge on engines. Once Oliver comes back from Crovan's Gate in Toad Stands By, Toad sees a chance to punish the trucks who also caused the Spiteful Brakevan's death. He manipulates Oliver into pulling Scruffey apart by getting him to shunt the brutal truck before the others in a long line.
Don’t be darfed, Toad wouldn’t even like the spiteful brakevan.

Well, here are the typical questions you get after a ghost story. How was the crew removed from the cab and who stopped Percy? Why did Diesel 10 spare everybody but the guard? If you asked me, I guess whatever supernatural force took over Percy and his crew somehow missed the guard. Maybe he had some sort of spiritual object protecting him. The guard then noticed Diesel 10 and maybe tried to ward him off. Unfortunately, whatever was protecting him wasn’t able to stop Diesel 10 from ripping the van apart and crushing the poor man. Perhaps Diesel 10 can only claim one victim a night. So Percy may want to watch his back. Because he’s probably going to get another visit from that ghost.

Well, it is likely the case, but if it is, then what we saw at the end could have been d10 stalking his escaped prey till his manifestation time, then its crunchy crunchy time for poor percy. And I don't think being around other engines will save him, d10 may even expose himself purposely to get more victims

A lot of the locations give a bit of Season 2 vibe, almost like a sequel to Ghost Train. One of the best Thomas fan ghost stories imo!

I gotta say out of all the horror stories you made, this one is my absolute favorite. It's so well written and the most unique story around Diesel 10, especially in the supernatural side.

Well, if she was, then according to her lore, ever other engine would also die horribly, since her entire thing is she is the spirit of engine kind itself, not just steam engines....unless that theory d10 is the manifestation of dieselkind is true

You don't get many stories where the ghost is a diesel as a lot of the time they are steam engines. Part of this reminded me of The Magic Railroad Parody. Mainly the whole thing of the claw changing Diesel 10's persona. A really enjoyable story. 👍
Diesel 10 would become evil of his own will by hatred towards steam and plans to destroy them and nothing else. The claw stays normal. Perhaps he can decide to use his claw for more destructive purposes and grab steam engines to scrap them.
Love your stories, the ones that go the extra mile to have scenarios that prove the ghost/demon is actually real are just that much more bone chilling, like on this wonderland of a railway, your life is really in more danger than you think.

Honestly, this is such a good video for a halloween spook story! I like the idea that, instead of Diesel 10 being in the Thomas universe, like the show later did with Calling All Engines, he's more of a ghost and a legend than a real engine. That way, he's scarier when you come into contact with him. The execution with the viaduct being the place of the haunting was beautiful!
Also, side note, LOVE the music in this!!

It feels weird seeing diesel 10 with out a claw. Also when it's revealed there's a noise that sounds like a claw snapping. Perfect!
I love the more modernised take on the dialogue and the way the characters speak. I don’t know if that was intentional but I noticed and really enjoyed it. It’s still a good fit for the characters while giving them lots of personality.
I’ve always enjoyed Diesel 10 as well, he’s just so fun, so it’s always interesting to see how people will interpret him.

Strange. It's almost if Diesel 10's new mechanical claw had a mind of it's own and was some kind of symbiotic entity, like it probably using Diesel 10 as a pawn. To me, it looks like the claw not only took over Diesel 10, but also BECAME Diesel 10 altogether. It destroyed the diesel's personality and absorbed his form, which could explain his erratic, psychotic behavior as if it was the CLAW speaking, not Diesel 10!
What is it about that mechanical claw that makes a malevolent vibe? A design flaw? A catastrophic malfunction? Or perhaps even a POSSESSION?!

It is mentioned that Diesel 10's old line also served a harbour. I can't help but wonder if the harbour was intended to be Great Yarmouth Docks, where Toby used to work with his brothers in the RWS, before being transferred to his old tramway. Makes one wonder if Toby knew about the story from personal experience...

Okay, I watched this while it was nighttime, and I tops the cake for scary. Also not to mention it was during a thunderstorm which made me even more jumpy.
I’ll openly admit that, despite growing up with the original series, I haven’t paid attention to much fan-made stuff (aside from Shed 17, that is).
But this…
This was good. The first half felt like it could’ve been an actual episode of the original show before the spooks begin. And Diesel 10 becoming a train boogeyman the likes of Slenderman was a nice touch.

I’ve got a story. It’s true too.
Many years ago my grandpa and dad were trying to build a shed to work on cars in, as they’re both retired mechanics, but they ended up never finishing it, likely due to hurricanes and schedule conflicts. One of the decorations in it was a taxidermy owl. For decades it sat in there, and was eventually forgotten.
Then one night we were making hotdogs for dinner but ran out of cheese, so I was sent next door to grab some. As I stepped out my cat followed, then stopped and puffed up, growling at something. He’d never growled or even hissed before, so that alone unnerved me.
It was late evening, the sky too dim for shadows but bright enough my eyes adjusted quickly. The pine trees near the shed were oddly bare. It was winter, but pine trees don’t usually lose their needles. The bare branches seemed to reach towards the shed, as if trying to contain something. Then a low droning noise began. It echoed off the trees and clouds, and sounded like a fly in a soda can. Then I remembered the owl. Not only that, I saw it decomposing, the seams bursting, a glass eye falling out and shattering on the tools strewn below as half the face was soon gone.
I later went to the shed to see what remained of the owl, only to find all traces of it gone. I asked my family and my grandpa. Nobody knows what happened to it. Raccoons and mice were suggested as being the culprits, but that wouldn’t explain where the metal frame and ceramic stand went. To this day nobody knows what happened to it, and on moonless, cloudy nights, something will screech in the woods nearby, and in the morning some creature will be found dead at the edge of those woods, with nothing but bleached bones and tattered skin remaining.
I love it when the bell strikes it shows was going to happen next..
