I watch these videos on my lunch break, after work, and almost all weekend. Why can't I get enough?! I wish I had the extra change to get a kayak and hit the water! Thanks for the great videos, they keep me inspired to go on my own adventures, fish on!
Your videos always teach me the ways of salt-water fishing! Hopefully next year I will be chasing the big ones, according to all the migration times and patterns that I marked down this year.
Dude, you fished hard. I covered about 15 miles in about 8 hours my day. Totally wiped out, that worked out to be a decent day of fishing towards the end for you.
Damn bad luck man! If you continue to do these in the fall I'd say definantly go for muskie it would be sketchy in a kayak but hey that's alot of inches
If you don't mind my asking , what kayak do you own/ use in this video.? I am looking to buy one for mostly bass fishing would also like some suggestions. Thanks
He has the hobie revolution 13ft, I myself am looking into getting the hobie pro angler 14, it's a bit wider.. look into the hobie videos man, they are exspensive but you get what you pay for.
It could be worse, you could have got skunked! July and August should be the real challenge! See you at Sterling harbor, I think I'll make it for the party, but I won't be fishing this year☹️
cool man, yea I caught enough to make it interesting, if I got skunked then there would have been some very harsh language at the end of the video haha
Also am I the only one who rigs the hollow bodied flukes with the main shank of the hook in that pocket in the bait and the hook point in the back? Epically with a weighted hook. I find it to work better esp in weeds and structure
Just a little tip if your ever back down in cape may looked like you launched on the other side of lunds if you pull up right along the docks put a whole squid on 100% you can pull some decent bass off of it i have access to the dock and have caught them up to 37inches during the summer
Also don't hook it in the eyelet in your rod it can crack and scuff it which will possibly break and fray your line. It's just a good idea to hook in in the the "rigging" that connects the eyelet to the rod
Hey man you can build set of wheels with harbor freight wheels and some pvc pipe, several videos on here and probably cost you under 30$ built mine this way and been holding up great
Old kids toy big wheels or wagons from the dump or even on street before trash pickup have the materials for home made fishing carts and kayak carriers. Old strollers or tricycle wheels and shafts are even stronger. Your only limit is your imagination.
Joe Walsh honestly bro, the shark river inlet is just our go to spot, its nothing crazy , just fishing the inlet and the bay near the tennis courts are good to me and my dad
+Hunter430 oh i like to fish on this little spot on the island where all the boats are docked, there's a lot of seaweed, but once you're out there you're almost sure to catch at least 1 fish a day(some pretty big ones too, my best at that spot was 6 pounds)
Fish you caught in fresh water looks like our Northern Pike, but those were very small compared to out Northern Pike...Walleye or Pickerel as we call them look way different, have big bulging eyes....thanks for video bro.
thats a chain pickerel (Esox Niger) its related to the Northern pike (Esox Lucius). I'm Canadian and I would just like to say calling a Walleye a pickerel is just a colloquialism that old fisherman passed down. Side note: the pike family from smallest to biggest is Pickerel, Pike and Muskie.
Ive tried there once or twice but never caught, I know they catch some fish back there but I havent put in the time back that way. I have wanted to try it but always end up somewhere else.
How do you manage to never get caught in a bunch of seaweed and all that shit? Every time I got saltwater fishing (in nj) I catch more cabbage than I do fish.
I find my share of seaweed, typically if you can avoid the new/full moon tides as well as any strong south winds you will be clear of any major seaweed disasters, strong current usually gets that stuff moving around all through the water column, idk if I am getting seaweed I move to a different spot, sometimes further in the backbay there is cleaner water than close to the inlets
Don't take it wrong, but it was refreshing to see someone frustrated in a video, hitting spots with no fish like a lot of us, instead of just hauling them in. But you gotta get a cart, especially for a hobie. You can get the new C-Tug Sandtrakz wheels for $85 shipped and build a PVC cart for a few bucks more. There's a cart thread with a number of PVC designs, including my folding design, on SOL. www.stripersonline.com/surftalk/topic/655949-ive-had-it-with-this-kayak-cart/page-2
Your challenges make your show suck just fish. Bass, strippers, fluke, trout or cats. I just don't get it just don't understand what you are doing or trying to do!

Too bad this comment wasn't acknowledged. Him and elliasvfishing inspired me to get my kayak
5 years later and i still love watching the 24hr fishing challenges
Your videos always teach me the ways of salt-water fishing! Hopefully next year I will be chasing the big ones, according to all the migration times and patterns that I marked down this year.

That was a tough fishing session man. Glad you pulled thru in the end.
Dude, you fished hard. I covered about 15 miles in about 8 hours my day. Totally wiped out, that worked out to be a decent day of fishing towards the end for you.
15 miles is impressive.. I drove more than I paddled but I definitely tried, came up short. july I am going twice as hard haha enough is enough
Damn bad luck man! If you continue to do these in the fall I'd say definantly go for muskie it would be sketchy in a kayak but hey that's alot of inches
Do you ever use spinner bait? I catch more large mouth bass than I can handle when I do. Cant say the same for other lures .
9:12 is that a alligator
If you don't mind my asking , what kayak do you own/ use in this video.? I am looking to buy one for mostly bass fishing would also like some suggestions. Thanks

Hobie PA14 is a beast. You really need a trailer for it.
I'm in Hawaii shore fishing and I was just wondering if you had any advice on bait and technique??
What rod were you using for the crappies
It could be worse, you could have got skunked! July and August should be the real challenge! See you at Sterling harbor, I think I'll make it for the party, but I won't be fishing this year☹️
cool man, yea I caught enough to make it interesting, if I got skunked then there would have been some very harsh language at the end of the video haha
What rod and reel do you use?
Great video even though it was tough and nice new Fish Finder btw, haha you finally got one.
Also am I the only one who rigs the hollow bodied flukes with the main shank of the hook in that pocket in the bait and the hook point in the back? Epically with a weighted hook. I find it to work better esp in weeds and structure

I have to try that
+Sea-Money Fishing you won't be sorry try to get either 2 hours before high tide or the 2 hours right after high tide

What is you're ultralight setup?
Also don't hook it in the eyelet in your rod it can crack and scuff it which will possibly break and fray your line. It's just a good idea to hook in in the the "rigging" that connects the eyelet to the rod
where do you get that ruler from?
Hey man you can build set of wheels with harbor freight wheels and some pvc pipe, several videos on here and probably cost you under 30$ built mine this way and been holding up great
What happened to Kayak Angler Magazine???
Great effort man, you put some serious time in.
These challenges are very entertaining
according the yellow circle dots the fish may be northern pike
What kayak do you have?
Try fishing corsons inlet, decent blues running through there
What size reel would you recommend for throwing lures under 1 oz in shallow water
3000/300 size spinning reel on 200 size baitcaster.
Another nice vid dude nice man.👍🏻 you should come back down to the keys with ur kayak again lol good vid man keep up the work
thanks man

hey man, do you ever fish belmar?
I fish Belmar often and I usually catch some nice Fluke and occasionally a few Stripes, right now is good Fluke (Flounder) fishing though
Joe Walsh very true, shark river is me and my dads go to place
+Hunter430 where do u like to fish there,if you want to know I don't mind telling you a couple of my secret spots that have tons of fluke in them
Joe Walsh honestly bro, the shark river inlet is just our go to spot, its nothing crazy , just fishing the inlet and the bay near the tennis courts are good to me and my dad

we call them jackfish or hammerhandles and walleye are pickeral

Where ya from?
I'm Wisconsin

Did you ever try fishing off Seven Bridges in Ocean County NJ?
Ive tried there once or twice but never caught, I know they catch some fish back there but I havent put in the time back that way. I have wanted to try it but always end up somewhere else.

I love u and ur vids
Some times you eat the bear and some times it eats you....July could be your month...
I guess that's why it's called "fishing" and not "catching" lol. We all have those days unfortunately
I know exactly were u were fishing and the mouth of that inlet is alwas rough
Awesome!!!!!!!!!!
Did a tournament at that first lake in march.
Some pretty big largies ! Someone caught a 5 fish limit of 18 lbs!
you can make a wheel trolley out of pvc and some wheel barrel wheels

That looked like a baby pike
its a chain Pickerel, they actually look quite different
huh. their mouths almost look the exact shape. it was interesting to me because i have never heard of that species
well they are extremely closely related
August
at 2:34 he says "its a good place to find bats"
Ur out in left field
Hey at least you can catch fish during the day where you live! If you go fishing during the day where I live, you'd be lucky to catch a ray!
there is always tomorrow happy 4 th of july GOD BLESS
Your bad if u don't throw a black and blue jig in freshwater
depends on the conditions man
that's a pike/jack
pink is not a bass color
Cohpe yes it is bass eat pink bates because they don’t like the color they get mad at it and eat it
the first 5 minutes and 10 seconds were pure boredom.
You and Extreme Philly Fishing should couch Duke Bass Team for the health and welfare of NC, they don't have one yet.
couch fishing rules
toads were caught, it was a good day
Damn under 100 views!
Second
I found a $40 cart that works pretty well. Not great for soft sand but great for everything else. Hit me up if you want the info

Your challenges make your show suck just fish. Bass, strippers, fluke, trout or cats. I just don't get it just don't understand what you are doing or trying to do!
Him and his buddies are just having fun. There are no set rules to what one could or should be doing when they fish!
