- 3rd and final Jersey trip of the season has made for one long ass video and an obnoxious title which Im sorry you had to read. Arrived around 1pm Monday to a mostly dead coast. There were a few fish here or there but really nothing much for most of the time. The hope was the bite would turn on Tuesday, and sure enough, Tuesday morning it happened. Bait, Bass, Whales all showed up close to shore and opportunites came and went throughout the day, It was good enough I had to stay an extra morning for one last shot at the jersey blitz.

Also dude, much respect to you. I went the other day after almost a week of west wind, and fished my way from sandy hook to seaside heights and didn’t even SEE a fish caught. Found birds, found the fleet, and found the surf guys but a big fat nothing burger followed.
thank you. sorry to hear that, thats really how it goes out there... great conditions then nothing happens, or vice versa... or showing up 15 minutes after the bite shuts off... or leaving 15 min before it turns on. Always an element of luck and chance.
Yeahhh buddy. Got into my first real blitzes and all day action the 29th. Its addicting man. Great video, always enjoy watching the master get it done.

My guy thanks for advice I got van staal vr 175 bailless pair with 10’ carbon surf . I hit seaside park and island state park today. No luck but I see why you like that 10’ 1/2-3 oz pole
Berkeley X9 has problems. Brand new spool, only caught like 6 fish on it, bomb casted a tin, went to test my drag and it snapped 2 inches above the roller under like 15 lbs of pressure. Lost at least 100’. Sticking with 832 for the future.
dang. Ive had random break offs with all kinds of braid. Hard to say which one is really the best, x9 and 832 have been my go to past 5+ years
I've had it on my togging lever drag for the past couple seasons, no problems. Maybe a bad recent production run or something idk@@ChrisMcIntee

ha well theres a lot of eyes on the water... I try to find less crowded areas but if the fish show up the crowd is usually not far behind

I did not. I feel the hook points pretty frequently though and they were staying pretty sharp. Sorry to hear you missed out on the run, while it was an awesome season, the crowds that came with it were not awesome. Still fish to be had if you can get out there, it not hopefully next year!

I didnt put that one to use no, I had a couple of my own that were already rigged the way I like which I used the rest of the time

I run about 4' of 50-60lb leader
