  • Kayak fished for fluke in the southjersey backwaters and caught some fluke, a baby striper, small weakfish and even snagged a small bluefish. Used magictail bucktails in 1/2oz up to 1.5oz sizes with mostly 5" gulp swimming mullets as a trailer, also bluefish strips worked. Romo lost something nice at one point, and i also lost something nice as I was trying to put it in my cooler.. was a pretty slow day but enough action to keep it interesting, It slowed down at the end and I was done filming when I hit a keeper on my way back to my car to get my 3rd in the box... gotta love a 3 fish limit...

    hey bro. next time you need to measure in a pinch.. if you keep a dollar bill on hand, its exactly 6 inches. so you can always use that to get a good estimate.

      Fishing SouthWest Florida haha nice. but not really. just keep a single dollar bill. and just flip it along the side of the fish. until you reach the tail.

    Ha-- Love your videos -- thank you for doing them. You inspired me to go salt water fishing again --I've been mostly trout fishing in the mountains. You got me so excited I bought another surf rod and reel and I feel like buying a Kayak. Would love to have fished with you --thanks again brother.

    • @sk88rat
      @sk88rat 7 років тому +3

      Very easy. Rig a buck tail jig with a piece of Gulp and simply cast and jig it along bottom. Flounder will usually tap the jig/bait a couple times- after feeling a tap-tap, give them line/slack for about two to three seconds and then try and set the hook. Good luck!

    • @BrazilianHashMan
      @BrazilianHashMan 7 років тому

      sk88rat I wanted to know more for walleye, but if it's the same principle, I'll give it a shot!

    • @sk88rat
      @sk88rat 7 років тому

      Timmothy White- I couldn't actually tell you about buck-tails for Walleye, I haven't fished for them in 30 years. But, from what I do remember, you just jig bottom for Walleye. I know they make Walleye jigs/setups, but I have yet to see someone to use a buck-tail jig. There's no reason it wouldn't work in my mind.

    I like your videos. Just a suggestion. When you have limited space on kayaks maybe go and use some clear tape to put a measuring device around the handle of your neck. Or a tape with clear tape over it on the side of your boat so that’s one less thing you have to worry about bringing with you. We’re dropping in the water.

      Sea-Money Fishing sadly it was the only red drum I caught though. It could had been due to the rain we had in Maryland last week. There was lots of white perch. Funny thing was there was white perch eating my bait and all of a sudden something hard pulled and that turned out to be the red drum. I was using cut up shrimp btw.
