- Kayak fished for fluke in the southjersey backwaters and caught some fluke, a baby striper, small weakfish and even snagged a small bluefish. Used magictail bucktails in 1/2oz up to 1.5oz sizes with mostly 5" gulp swimming mullets as a trailer, also bluefish strips worked. Romo lost something nice at one point, and i also lost something nice as I was trying to put it in my cooler.. was a pretty slow day but enough action to keep it interesting, It slowed down at the end and I was done filming when I hit a keeper on my way back to my car to get my 3rd in the box... gotta love a 3 fish limit...
My Rod: 7' Pompano bay www.pompanobayr...
Reel: penn clash 4000amzn.to/2s0OsD7
Braided Line:20lb sufix 832 amzn.to/2sAFM3d
My favorite Gulp: amzn.to/2sAuJHx
kayak is a hobie revo 13, 2011 model
Way calmer than I would have been on the cooler miss lol
Never even fished saltwater, and yet you're my favorite fishing youtuber. Keep it up bro.
hey bro. next time you need to measure in a pinch.. if you keep a dollar bill on hand, its exactly 6 inches. so you can always use that to get a good estimate.
but that means being a millionaire
Fishing SouthWest Florida haha nice. but not really. just keep a single dollar bill. and just flip it along the side of the fish. until you reach the tail.
I used to put a piece of tape on my pole , sized for a keeper.
haha someone sounds like a blowhard.
Great idea.
Ha-- Love your videos -- thank you for doing them. You inspired me to go salt water fishing again --I've been mostly trout fishing in the mountains. You got me so excited I bought another surf rod and reel and I feel like buying a Kayak. Would love to have fished with you --thanks again brother.
Never prepared!!! I love it
haha yea man I need to get my life together
Sea-Money Fishing no you continue to be a great fisherman despite that
Great video man. Heart breaking to see romo miss that fish
Nice flounder action. Always great to go fishing with you, thanks.
heartbreaking miss on the cooler.
Died laughing when the fish flopped out of your hand when trying to put it in the cooler. "That's not how you do it"
I literally couldn't help my self from laughing at the cooler incident
Thanks for sharing. Can't wait to get out myself. Always enjoyable.
I just died laughing when you missed the cooler. I'm sorry I know that sucks but that was hilarious
I almost lost it when that fish missed the ice chest. Thanks for sharing!
Good catches. The weathers been very unpredictable.
Cracking up! 😂 great quote... It’s fun for me to dwell on the sad reality of what just happened! 😂 Was definitely a tide runner!
where do u usually go in nj o go pretty much every weekend to cape may / wildwood my main part I fish is wading dog beach also fishing in the back by the wharf is a good spot
Nooo Chris I'm studying...don't distract me hahaha
Hey sea money. Just a suggestion can u do a video on how to buck tail
Ryan Moran I would like to see this aswell!
Very easy. Rig a buck tail jig with a piece of Gulp and simply cast and jig it along bottom. Flounder will usually tap the jig/bait a couple times- after feeling a tap-tap, give them line/slack for about two to three seconds and then try and set the hook. Good luck!
sk88rat I wanted to know more for walleye, but if it's the same principle, I'll give it a shot!
Timmothy White- I couldn't actually tell you about buck-tails for Walleye, I haven't fished for them in 30 years. But, from what I do remember, you just jig bottom for Walleye. I know they make Walleye jigs/setups, but I have yet to see someone to use a buck-tail jig. There's no reason it wouldn't work in my mind.
sk88rat Thanks for the help! I'll give it a try, on the way to the tackle store now!
do you eat the flounder caught here? normally they say the water is too polluted and to not eat fish/crabs. but idk anything about fishing.. i have kayaks and i like to eat flounder so i figured i check it out
Recently landed a 21" 4 pound fluke surfcasting in CT. There's been some bigger ones out there.
God I love going over the Walt Whitman bridge. I know from there I'm not too far from fish! Also, What do look for when fishing creeks and stuff? Depth? Current? Structure? How do you know fish are there?
theres always fish in the creeks early season, but yea anything over about 8' deep and youre in business.
are you eating a "nature valley" lol, those are my go-to when I'm fishing and I get hungry.
I like your videos. Just a suggestion. When you have limited space on kayaks maybe go and use some clear tape to put a measuring device around the handle of your neck. Or a tape with clear tape over it on the side of your boat so that’s one less thing you have to worry about bringing with you. We’re dropping in the water.
Yo bro, I live in North Jersey. I’m a huge fluke fisherman and just got myself a pontoon. Any chance you could tell me where you’re fishing. It looks like little egg harbor or somewhere in the area.
Man I love these videos, so jealous of the ocean adjacent folk
Are you not wearing wading boots/shoes on your stocking waders? I noticed Elias does the same. I just wonder what that does to the neoprene bootie. Looks more comfortable that way and less weight if you go over.
*I Really REALLY Like your videos man* 👍👍👍
enjoy the vids.i actually prob watch hours of them. keep um coming :)
you are so lucky, the seals have ate them all out of the bay here in Alsea bay in Oregon
OPPS, missed the cooler

Justin Whittier yeah lol

Justin Whittier what do you mean?
both of u were flukin and u happen to kno him and ur in his vid
Yes finally you old rod I missed it!!!!
I used a sharpie to make two marks 18 inches apart from each other on my kayak to measure flounder.
big weakfish in there too. ive fished that area for 30 years
So overcast is good for flounder? I enjoy ur bids by way
+Tyree Jennings eh not necassarily, its good for fishing though, no hot sun draining your energy. But yea usually fish like overcast weather too
Do you like kayaks that your legs are open like yours or ones where your legs are covered
I enjoy watching your vids.. what is flounder.. I'm not sure here Cali we call halibut are they same fish?
Chilam Chau same family. Flounder don't get as big as halibut though
Enjoy you vids. About to get a outback, also in sj. maybe I'll see ya out there.
Just measure your cooler and write the length on it with a marker next time. Thanks for the video.
Cool video as always!
Hey Sea-Money where are you fishing in the start of this video what part of jersey?
I am disabled and can't go for long, so a nice place to put in my yak and get hit would be much appreciated.

I hope that was a blue cause that could have been the weakfish of a life time. Cause they are so rare here in NJ especially the big ones
Good job thank you for sharing
Hey Sea-Money Fishing you should do some more vids on False Albacore just a suggestion
You try fishing for red drum yet? Down in Maryland, I caught a 20 inch red drum last weekend
not yet, thats good to hear hopefully this is a good year for them
Sea-Money Fishing sadly it was the only red drum I caught though. It could had been due to the rain we had in Maryland last week. There was lots of white perch. Funny thing was there was white perch eating my bait and all of a sudden something hard pulled and that turned out to be the red drum. I was using cut up shrimp btw.
Was just getting ready to comment that it seems like u haven't been outing out very many videos lately but I see I must've accidentally unclicked the bell button on here so now
I gotta look
Through your videos lpl
any 24hr kayak challenges coming up?
you need to come up to pa were i live in quarryville and we can go catfishing.
Ssup s-money, greetings from italy!
are those week fish related to trout? looks like sand trout we have here in Texas
Yes, but bigger..much bigger
Looks like Ventnor... am I correct?
My broinlaw had one jump out of the cooler as well..lmfao
In Florida we call them spotted trout they are really good eating thought u would keep the weakfish
OGJW DesertSquad weakfish and speckled trout are two different fish
+OGJW DesertSquad yea these weakies are slightly different than the specks. Specks taste better, these weakies are mushy and oily, I do not like the way they taste
Thanks
is that point lookout ny?
what kayak is that? im new to kayaking. Sorry if this question has been asked once too many times.
Sea Money runs a Hobie Revolution 13 I believe.
Thank you!

Is shark river any good on a kayak

NO, the Weakfish is a Gray Trout and a speckeled trout is a spotted sea trout.
No, a weakfish is a weakfish, the biggest of the saltwater trout species
What power and action rod??
Nice fishing

What city u put in at
Dude it looks like your fishing on a 2×4 for a kayak lol
@sea-moneyfishing you really shouldn't kayak in waders mang! Incredibly dangerous if you fall in. Just looking out for a fellow south jersey/Philadelphian fishermen. Tight lines👌🏻
Deep. Money. Yeahhhhh
nice video
Mesh laundry bag from target works good for fish bag and like $5
Is the limit size 18 inches this year?
yes 3 @ 18" in NJ
Thanks for the reply. After asking I looked up the regs in NJ, NY, and Ct. I was surprised to see that Ct has a 15 inch minimum and a 5 fish limit. My nephew has told me the flounder (fluke) fishing on the south shore of eastern LI has been excellent this year. Thanks for posting your videos. I always enjoy your videos. Hope you have a great summer season.
this looks like back where the starlight fleet is stationed but idk
what happened to the first fish is what I fear happening to you when you put fish in the cooler lol
+Sean Smith haha it happens. Maybe ill have to get one of those cool wire stringers.
Hey what reel are u using
penn clash 4000
He sounds like Ice Poseidon xD
whats your rod setup
How can you the difference between a flounder and fluke
these are summer flounder which is the same as a "fluke".
Sea-Money Fishing thanks love your vids
what ounce fig head where u using
+iPadds 1/2oz in the creek and 1.5oz in the deep
Hmmm in all your videos seems like you are always using a white rubber worm saltwater fishing freshwater fishing there is a white worm 🤔
looks to me like you're in brigantine
I had a LMB slap my phone out of my hand into the lake then dip off. I wasn't going to keep it but a wanted a pic and weigh it.
They should put I thing to measure your fish on a rod
I dont know how you fit in that thing let alone fish from it
