David... What should I say.. This just made my day...thank God. I believe that was no coincidence just pure work of God that I found this video. Thank you 🙏 Keep on going
Hi Jakob. I'm so glad that this was meaningful to you and that God brought you what you needed today through this song. I appreciate your kind words and encouragement! Hope you're having a good start to your week!
Nice cover. Can you please share your outdoor setting for recording? Equipment/instruments/software/camera/ etc.. everything. Would like to try it too. Thanks David!
Hi Nomiday Dajie! Thanks for watching and yes I can tell you what I used. I was using a zoom H4n recorder in 4 channel mode (using the built in stereo mic on the guitar as channel 1 and 2 and then the pickup from guitar into the 3rd channel and then the Sm7b mic into the 4th channel for my voice). But I did end up re-tracking the acoustic guitar afterwards and played as closely to the original as I could while watching the footage of myself playing. I actually end up re-tracking almost any acoustic guitar that I play in a live video and then mix it back in to avoid all the bleed that happens in the guitar mic form my voice. Or if I'm not actually trying to do a "live" recording then I'll record all the audio first in separate takes (usually guitar first and any other instruments then vocal) and then I practice through to what I recorded so that I can match it really well and then record only the video (not the audio) while I play and sing along doing my best to match the nice audio that I already have recorded. So in this particular video the vocal is live from when I was videoing, but then the acoustic is layered in afterward. I also recorded extra environment sound (just the ambient sound of the breeze and birds and trees) with the h4n built in stereo mic to then layer on top so you could hear the sound of being outdoors as well. As far as cameras go, I was using a Sony a7siii (with a Tamron zoom lens) that I borrowed from my church for the main shot and then I was using my own Sony a6400 (with a sigma prime 56mm) for the side shot (and I typically record in 4k so I can punch in a little bit to create the feel of an extra closer shot as well). I hope that's helpful, and thank you so much for watching and commenting!
It’s in the key of A in this video. The original by Phil Wickham is in the key of Db so you’d have to capo way up to use these chord shapes to play with his version. Capo 6 to play with his version and these chord shapes.
Glory to God

wow this was super good! You should try the original key!
