To Clarify Rift crystals are not a premium currency, its another in game currency used in the pawn system. Because the main hero of the game creates their party from special pawns, usually pawns of the same as the same level or lover as the mc, cost nothing, but higher level pawns cost rift crystals, if it is like the 1st game, rift crystals are farmable in game through monsters bosses etc, and except pawns, they were also heavily used in the dlc. But I assume the pawn system will remain largely the same.
Yea idk why this guy thinks it's a microtransactions currency. He either didn't play the first game, did no research, or just likes spreading misinformation. If it's the last one I get it lying on the internet is quite fun.
I wish it was the last one. I would have more enjoyment from reading the comments. I did research and found a link to the xbox store like it was purchasable DLC :) Sorry for the confusion!

I went ahead and got the deluxe edition, it just seems like every time I get a deluxe edition, the items I get are never useful, but when I don't, there's always something I wish I had, so I'm not taking any chances with this game.
The gaol key is better than you think, anyone who's played the first game and fucked around too much will tell you that going to jail can be expensive (early game at least) as you have to pay a fine to get released, or spend resources making keys, or wait a long IRL time. This gets you one free trip to jail. That's like 5000g saved. Not game changing, but way better than "1 lockpick".

Are you murdering everyone in 1 lol? Theres no reason to go to jail I only went because Feste was being so annoying I had to beat him up.

capcom has a history of letting you buy the deluxe edition stuff separately later for the $10. not 100% sure if this will work for the deluxe/pre order item but it should.
rift crystals were easy to get if your pawn was being used by other players in the original game. your pawn would copy a percentage of xp other players got while using them, like 10%, and that was the number of rift crystals you got when they released your pawn. the system may change in dd2, we'll have to see. there are items you can buy with rift crystals and if you hire pawns above your level they will charge a fee based on the level gap and how high the level actually is.
wake stones will be rare at first, we'll see how rare they are overall with this new npc death system.
metamorphasis use to be purchasable in game with rift crystals from a specific npc
jail keys, or skeleton keys as they were called in dd1, were single use but they were craftable. take a shackle you got from bandits or zombies, the weakest kind of zombie in particular, and combine it with 1 of a few common ores and you got one of these keys. you could easily craft a lot of these keys in dd1.

I ordered the deluxe edition pretty much for the original music. And on a side note I wonder if the Art of Metamorphosis will let us change race.
Yano...I feel like I doubt it. They said race affects story. It will be wild if you can just change midway
@@iabaca Kind of what I was thinking. In the original you could change everything, but the original didn't have different races.

Dragons Dogma 1 had Golden Weapons.
They had no Special effect.
The Rusty Swords on Max were OP until Endgame!
Looking through the guide book they are the equivalent of level 17 non-magic weapons, so they help out for a few levels, hope they are similar in DD 2. I hate it when they make things like them op.
9:40 9:40 I pre-ordered the deluxe. I have been a fan of this game when the first one come out. I was so surprised at the time that more wasn't talking about or playing it, and over the years, it had me spoiled, for so many games don't compare to it at all,even still. When I heard that they decided to make a second ,I pre-ordered as soon as possible. My only wish is that they would of made at least multiple save files..if only each could carry one player type and character..it would of been fun to switch up your different characters with different skills depending on how you felt like playing at that moment or day. I am a older player n not sure how many moments are left. But I love this game and happy to see it almost here.

The answer is the standard physical copy, because that's the only physical copy, then buy the dlc separately.
If you want to play on 30 fps yes but I'm gonna play on pc so the deluxe on steam cost the same as physical standard copy on ps5 or Xbox
@@XeqtrM1 I played part 1 back when it first released and the rerelease on console. 60fps is great for shooters and games that are that fast paced. This game isn't designed for that in mind. Sure 60 will look great, but its not needed for this game.
@@DarkKnightGrimm I also played the first one at release but after playing Bloodborne at 30 fps just no and 60 fps for shooters is way to low if you want to stay competitive actually
well this will be my first time playing a DD game so i have only seen good things and kinda need a single player chill game so why not start with this. bought the deluxe forsure. excited af. i made wukong and going to go magic spear or whatever lol.
1500 rift point is low tbh you’ll get 100 of thousands easily when ppl take your pawn the higher the lvl the more u get
In my current playthrough I have 1.4 mil. It is a new game + with a maxed out character mind you.
You can not buy Rift Crystals in the game! They are earned.

I don't need to rush the game so I think I don't need to pre order at all, but I don't think the price gonna reduce once it comes out so I'm just gonna pre order the standard edition.
If Rift Crystals work like in the first game, it's not premium currency and you will hav ea million or so at the endgame.
95$ canadian for the base game is actually insane. Especially with the state it launched in and the amount of micro transactions.

I would assume per character, but I'm also wondering the same thing.
@@Kylo_jason i also thought the same thing, would only make sence if it was per character espessially as there is only 1 save file meaning 1 character at a time and its single player, but i dont know for sure : (
I think it is safe to assume for now that it is per character 😀
It should be per character, as if it functions like dd1, creating a new character keeps your level and inventory.
The only true restart comes from deleting your save, or moving it to another location on PC.
When you delete or move your save file, it detects this as a fresh boot of the game, and applies all dlcs, bonuses, and other things immediately.
Also, the camping kit from the Deluxe edition gets added to shops with that edition.
Also to note. There is only one save slot. So only one character at a time

I bought Dragons dogma on every console I owned I love this game im so hyped for 2. I know there was a online version but it was Japanese I believe😂😅 I would say buy the standard because it still comes with the weapons that's all I care about😂😂
And if you do regret not getting the deluxe. You can always buy the deluxe items later down the line

Sgame the deluxe is onyl digital would love to have the box, I am still thinking what to get it on, i have pre order but best buy has a $30 gift card that the emss up an order so that woudl sale em money or should i get on steam and play also on ym steam deck. hard to choice.,

It's not a premium currency. Rift crystals are a farmable currency used mostly for the purchase of higher level pawns. Expect drop rates to be low, but more difficult enemies will drop a larger amount of them.

The devs recommend a 1070 for 1080p 30fps. The 1660S is newer but not as powerful as the 1070 on average so you may struggle a little bit

I ought the Deluxe Edition.....I will NOT be using the stronger weapons, The better campsite...or this DOgshit Platnium Currency, unless its for a cape with no combat effects.
I'll say this much. Dont get it on console. Cause it runs like ass. Especially on Playstation, I dont know why you would even use the ps5 version of the game as your thumbnail lmao

20??? Nice exaggeration bud…where you get 20 from? It’s actually 30 but just recently it was confirmed that it will be 60FPS unlocked in console and 120FPS in PC. This game will get GOTY

@@OtakuBenny2210 since when did goty decide on purely fps? It's maybe uncapped 30 on console yes but it doesn't mean it'll deemed it unplayable. They'll polish it out when the game comes out so it'll run more stable. If you're so bothered by 30 fps on console then play on pc instead. Just play and enjoy the game for it's content, the experience will make up for it.
@@ls_0203 I don't have the luxury of buying a 3k pc ATM I just about get by as a sound engineer so I only have aps5 not everyone is rich I think dd2 looks amazing but uncapped is awful trust me.
