@@Enchanterium I finished sketching your Penelope doll, next is Hextian's doll Vanessa from Little mermaid, I don't know if I could sketch her as a darker version for Birth of Venus., I do hope Vanessa & Ariel get their wedding dresses & their bouquet of flowers. Some part of me feels like the fountain is the end of the story but the other me tells me it can't be over.

That snake must be so itty bitty in person, but they’re the perfect scale for Penelope!
It’s a baby boa constrictor, so little right now but depending on locality & if it’s male or female, it could get to 8-10 feet when all grown up! They’re one of my favorite snakes ❤

You really don't need to worry about any part of the outfit not being accurate because the clothing in Bridgeton is no where close to historically accurate

The snake is such a cool touch!! It actually doesn’t look too far out of scale on her!
I've seen even bigger snakes compared to humans, so it looks quite realistic to me
The only thing I regret not seeing is a bigger neck/underchin, but that makeup more that won me over !
She actually has a thicker head than a classic Smart Doll, but to fit the same internal frame it is a lit long for Penn 😅
Even the Bridgerton series didn't make things accurate to the time period, more like inspired so your vision works too! It's beautiful and you did such a fantastic job on Penelope! The amount of hand work you did is crazy and you are right, some fabrics are just a nightmare to work with on any scale. I can't wait to see the dark green new look debut dress in the future too!

a problem that a lot of existing doll fashion falls into is just putting something without any shape to it on a plus size body- i know this was a period piece of clothing but it was a bit disappointing to see nonetheless. every body deserves fun and unique and shapely garments, and i hope your next pear smart doll takes that into consideration
One of the problems with dolls is that they are hard plastic. In reality, your clothes can model your figure. Here, it's impossible. Also, we wanted a more baggy style because the doll is too tall to represent Penelope well, so we hoped for a bit of shortening effect even with the very high waist 😁 and as Barb said in the beginning, regency period doesn't leave much space for creative silhouettes 😅
I do find it quite interesting that this doll is plus size for doll standards, but if she was a real human, she'd be completely average!
i mean the arms, yeah. not rlly the rest. if she was shorter maybe but the fact it’s a tall doll means it’s elongated and makes it look less chubby

I painted it myself with jagua, it's similar natural dye to henna, I painted it in a mirror 😁
Kinda wish her hair had tighter curls, it always made me sad that when she gets "attractive" she also gets wavier hair instead of curly. That being said, I'm taken aback by your talent! I'm in love with how you paint faces❤

I love that you ventured into historical dress for this doll! Would love to see more, despite the stress it caused! Remember, Bridgerton (and most other historical romances and even some historical dramas) is historical *fantasy*. As I like to remind myself when I'm making my own historical costumes, there is no such thing as true historical accuracy. We simply don't have the techniques and materials that our ancestors used! The best we can do is decide where on the spectrum between fantasy and reality we want to (or are able to!!) fall.
All that aside, she's is STUNNING
I have an interesting idea. What if both @HeXtian and @Enchanterium do a collab of what their own character would be like in the Bridgerton(sp?) Series?

It would be really cool for the 100th video to be some kind of homage to how this channel started, with monster high dolls and Winx customs, but maybe with a modern twist to represent all the progress you've made. I wouldn't be myself if I didn't suggest a custom of Valtor from Winx Club, yassified to fit your style of course. I personally see him in cyberpunk and neo-tribal inspired designs. She’s absolutely stunning .I watched the new series recently and Penelope certainly went through a complete makeover and became a woman…How they hid her assets in the other series I don’t know,but it must have been uncomfortable lol!.I love this new doll and the body shape.It worked really well for Penelope.Her face paint is so pretty and that dress was a real mission,but you did such a beautiful job of it in the end.i love the accessories too,so delicate to fit the era .You always create the most incredible Art dolls and this one is no exception.One of my other favourite characters was actually the Queen Charlotte ..She would be hard to recreate,but I think she actually was portrayed a bit wrong and self absorbed with what opinions of her were.She was actually a very intelligent woman of her time ,and considering her husband was mad and their marriage was a bit strange she kept things together as well as brought up her large family..But I did love how she came across and the outfits she wore.I enjoyed the whole Brighton experience with all the dresses and actors.It was fun.🥰

I do love the dolls physique, but I do think the face, neck, and arms could be a bit thicker. I do understand ball joints provide quite a bit of restrictions though, and appreciate the doll at its base ❤❤🎉🎉🎉
I agree. I think the neck is too long for this type of silhouette, but this body is using the same internal construction as the slim type, so I get why it looks like that

I hate that this is considered plus size or chubby :( it’s the average size and most normal shape of a female human, so why is it so rare to have this representation?
I have rolls like that, been called chubby (actual words used were meatball) all my life and wear sizes that are considered plus size. But this is also subjective so let's not police what people can say about their bodies (and this doll's body is mine hahahaha)
