I bought during Christmas time the Certina DS Action GMT Powermatic 80 in Brown colour for 780 euros. It was the pick to be my first "luxury" watch and tbh I am proud of having buy It ❤
I picked up a seiko arnie last week as a early birthday present to myself. Not stopped wearing since. I'd been wanting one for years and as a person with a 8 inch wrist it fits perfectly.
Some good choices in that selection. Nice to see a recognition of what affordable means to different people. A bit disappointed that you didn't call for a wrist check. As I wanted to finally be able to chime in with the vintage (birthyear) Omega Constellation that Santa was kind enough to bring me!
You absolutely nailed it with blue Citizen Tsuyosa. The Citizen Tsuyosa punches way above its weight class. It’s amazing how a €300 watch can offer the same style and functionality as ones that cost 4-5 times more. Great choice to add to any collection!
Henry Archer is a great micro brands as well. Very high quality cases and bracelets. The Murph 38 with the black dial is my first Swiss watch and I love it. Certina is a great brand as well and they do excellent dive watches.
MHD ~ Should have done one of three things with the Date window. 1- Left it out entirely. 2- Contacted Bell & Ross to source their Date wheel at that position. 3- Put their window at the 6 O'clock position. That Date feature the way it is, looks ridiculous! Makes the watch look incredibly cheap instead of more expensive than it is.
It was a very well-done and impressive list of what luxury wrist watches are.i want to get my hands on the Mean, is way more expensive than what eye catches,,, another great content until next time young man...all way from St George Utah...
@ I have the green. I absolutely love it. I wish I had waited and got the purple dial because that is my favorite color but I bought my the first minute of pre order. I would consider the 37mm or new 40mm simply because I like the date function. That being said I really like the less than 7mm thickness and don’t mind the manual wind.
I received the Murph for Christmas and I can't be more pleased with it. I'll never allow myself to get an Explorer, and the Murph fits that style along with having it's own story and unique appearance. And, 80 hours of power reserve still blows my simple mind after having Miyota-driven Laco as well as the NH35 and whatever caliber is in my vintage Tag Heuer.
I had the Murph but I still couldn’t stop thinking about the Explorer every time I wore it… finally pulled the trigger and got myself the Explorer and never once look back! Definitely going to hand down the Murph to my son when he’s ready to be introduced to the world of watches.
3:07 come on Humphries, you've had the date wheel customised so why on green and blue Earth didn't you sort out the date window? I have a 6T63 and it baffles me why Seiko didn't put it at 4:30, and proceed on more recent versions like the" Seitona" and neo Pogue to move it even closer to 4o'clock. As you have completely deleted the small seconds, sadly, why would you not drop it down to 6? 😬
So with the Tsuyosa, I loved the press pictures of the multicoloured dial, but in person it looked shite. I highly recommend seeing it in person. Rest of the line was a beast tho.
Am I the only one who doesn’t love Hamilton? I was so excited thinking it was the perfect watch until I saw it in person. It is so reflective which takes away the depth the dial has. It looked way better in pictures.
Honestly, I appreciate you adding the prices cause I’m tired of watching watch videos and having to pause and look up how much a watch is 😂 and good video, really nice list
Very nice video Harrison as usual. Found a couple of new watches to consider. When are you going to do another photography video? The last one was stellar.
I bought a Certina GMT recently, good price from CH. Opted for the non-bezel version, as a bezel is a complication too far for me. So far so good. It's joining me on my travels next week, though I'll be certain (spot the anagram!) to switch to my Fossil beater at some destinations! I'm up for a moon-phase watch at some point, but I don't imagine it'll be that Selton.
Could you do a review on less affordable watches? I have 12-20k to spend and some videos covering this price bracket would be great. I'm leaning towards a Panerai Sub at the moment...
I liked the Murph until I seen one in person and on my wrist. I thought the opposite of this video and thought the watch looked cheaper than what the price indicates. To me, the dial looks like paper and the numerals look cheaply done.
I tried on the 38mm in person black dial. I think it looks really nice but it is very dressy. Very shiny. I do prefer a more tool/field oriented watch so I passed on it.
Love my Tsuyosa. I have the white dial. You didn’t show it in your video. That sucks. I think it’s stunning and I love staring at mine. My wife bought me the light blue for Xmas. I didn’t like it. Sent it back, got a refund and buying a Seiko 5 diver
Why does no one talk about MAEN more often?? As a big watch enthusiast I have almost every brand but MAEN for the price really stands out. Wish more people knew about it
@@h0llyw00dhoward7 To me I think it's crazy to consider affordable a watch that costs more than a month's rent. In my opinion an affordable list should actually be affordable for most people.
Doesnt the super titanium come in grades an Citizen is using the low grade that is easier scratchable ( or the same as ) than stainles steel ? Even on thier website its stated that some watches ( divers) are covered with super titanium in order to make the surface harder but if its true why dont they just state - normal stainles steel Mohs scale 6 , after our hardening process its 7 ect ? The whole 'super titanium' sounds like marketing to me, am i wrong ?
of course it is subjective on looks but i don't find the PRX from Tissot looking anything expensive or "higher" value....in contrast, citizen Tsuyosa whatever does because it directly homages from various brands and designs and features like rolex datejust features , integrated bracelet
Moonswatch yes look expensive and cost per wear will be so expensive because once it's done and out of warranty, you cannot do anything with it except bin it.😅
@@Beefry222Swiss? Hamilton's are riddled with parts from China. The Swatch group has been outsourcing from China for years. It's probably more made in China than Swiss made
Ofc it is. No one NEEDS a watch over 100 bucks realistically. In today’s world where you can buy a quartz watch that does the job (and better timekeeping) for 100 bucks, then everything else is excess and thus “a luxury“.
What does "affordable watches" even mean? There are people with enough money that Patek Philippe are "affordable watches." Certina ? Omg. The reason why the don’t sell quickly . Because of the powermatic 80 . Plastic in it. Compleet chance of clockwork after 7 years . its a shame

Some brands who always appear in these lists but when you see them in hand they are just not that impressive.

Phoebus dive watches at 280 quid is a remarkably good watch.

Almost anything by Richard Mille, anything Hublot/Jacob with a sapphire crystal case, Mr G G-shock, Rolex OP Tiffany pre-owned…
That Spinnaker isn’t a 47mm lug to lug, it’s 51.5. Sadly that makes it too large for my wrist, shame
Wise , baltic,Maen , and if you don’t mind quality Chinese made watches San Martin on the affordable side…
Sub-seconds at 6 is not a complication. Central seconds is. Look it up.
Baltic watches is one of the greatest Micro Brand in my opinion
1 Citizen Tsuyosa
2 MHD Daily
3 Hamilton Murphy
4 Spinnaker croft
