Heard you talking about creation process and how uninspiring it is. You could start singing or playing acoustic instruments. Electronic sounds have so little of the harmonic frequencies that make music class. Like 808s compared to a snare beside you. Electronic music uses pattern motifs rather than actually creating musical harmonies. Prince was an amazing singer and player and that’s the vibe. Not just creating something for people to like. Although he was clearly an egomaniac who felt like he had to upkeep being the best. That’s a big drive for us.
I do choose singing all day rather than slaving on ableton to make beats. Ableton is fun, but it’s a recording tool. A daw isn’t an instrument. And also this online space isn’t actually the same as what entertainment used to be. That’s why you’re so demoralised by the clearly mentally ill/ fake robot ‘fans’. The more we streamline things the more we lose the overtones and undertones that make life actually worth it IMHO LOL
