  • This is part 2 of my review of the FRONIUS TRANSSTEEL 2200. In this video I show the wire feeder, front panel interface and weld with the machine in all processes. Pretty killer little welder!!

    I have had mine nearly 2 years and it welds fantastic, it is very easy on tips. You may not think it is a full commercial welder, but it is far better at most everything over my Miller which I sold. You have to compare apples with apples,, Fronius has commercial welders.
    Have a look at the 2700, 3500, 4000, 5000. they will blow the socks off anything else. I recommend having a look at a pro welder from England (Arc One Welder) he uses the Fronius 4000 at work and he will not use any other welder. I like your review.

    As far as them not being commercial quality. I have owned a few. I am a marine engineer and fronius are in most commercial ship yards I have been to in last 20 years. Most units still going strong, and plastics hold up to any abuse

    Love the review. We have 6 fronius tps 320i with water cooled mig guns at the shop I work for. They are a beast of a machine. Been welding with them off and on for 5yrs now on stainless steel. No problems so far.

    Great review bought a transsteel 2200 here in ireland last year and as u said it is a great machine. I wouldn't be overly worried about the wire feeder as it is one of the only machines on the planet that can mig weld aluminium without a spool gun but u where right when u said consumables for fronius are expensive look forward to more videos 👍

    Make a video on your review on HTP welders from Italy, mig & tig . I saw that they are a really good machine.
    Great video on the Austrian welder Fronius.

    Great review, I'm actually in the market for a welder and I was and may still be interested in the Fronius.
    I've heard there pretty reliable.
    I will just make one comment, although plastic can be a sign of cheapness in cheap tools, it's not always the case there are as many plastics as metals if not more, in many cases they can be exceptionally strong can have a glass fill amount to add additional strength.
    Some plastics have a very low friction and can be good for certain bushings.
    Every year there coming out with even better plastics some have very comparable properties to metals like PDCPD.
    Often on the inside of products there will be marks from the mold which will give you information on the material and percentage of glass fill used, I've often seen these on the inside body of cordless drills.
    Most cordless drills are predominantly made of plastic, and can be exceptionally robust.

    One thing I forgot to mention, it runs the Esab Dual Shield 7100 Ultra wire very very well, I use it all the time. It also runs aluminum and silicone bronze I have not run stainless on mine yet. I was making awning brackets out of 1/4 in 6061 aluminum and i used 5356
    It did a fantastic job, no spool gun but I did buy a second mig gun with teflon liner . If had the use for ,and the money I would have bought the 4000 , but I am not doing pipe or 1/2 to 1 inch plate.

    • @drreadthepuddle4332
      @drreadthepuddle4332  3 роки тому +3

      Yeah! The pulse option would be a nice addition to this welder!! Fronius is known for their pulsed aluminum MIG and this machine doesn’t have it 🙁
      I’ve heard it runs aluminum MIG pretty well through its standard gun that comes with it, but I haven’t tried it yet. I think that would be a good video!! Stay Tuned!!

    • @Phoenix-One0922
      @Phoenix-One0922 3 роки тому +1

      A Fronius with no pulse? are you high? This 2200 Transsteel has a pulse unlike any other welder on the planet.. up to 990 pps!! look for the review by TFS with Justin (which is by far a more superior review than this crappy one done with so much negativity by this old timer.. Oh! cheap this, shabby that.. bullshit!) and if does not only has a pulser but the low control is as good as the HTP 221
      so don't 'Rely' on this shallow review, go to the TFS and a 3 part also by another channel which is done very well.

    Its funny really that Americans think Fronius is just gaining traction, these are used in big corporations like Audi to weld their performance cars, they are used extensively all over the EU for automated and non automated tasks.

    Hi! Thank you for very good video! I was (obviously) very lucky i saw this video! ALL THAT PARTS ARE PLASTIC..! I have Esab Rebel, and it`s parts are metal. Even side cover is quite thick metal. I stay my Esab, thank you for warning me. This Fronius is very good welder, as they say, but also Kemppi, very good and reliable welder has plastic parts inside and side cover, i can`t understand..

    • @engjds
      @engjds 24 дні тому

      But look inside your ESAB, the Fronius internals (circuit layout etc) are in a different league, the plastic used in the Fronius is reinforced-almost as tough as steel, but way lighter.
