His voice may have changed a lot but the melodies of his compositions are always genuine. He has an unlimited source of talent that his memory is not yet full after all these years. There's always a new song every now and then that he offer to the world, what a talent and genious mind he has.

Mozart and Beethoven are great mucisians but we did not witness their greatness that's why we are very lucky in these generation to see and hear all the masterpiece songs he gave us. And for me he surpassed both Beethoven and Mozart. Only his sonhwriting partner John Lennon can come very very close to his talent.

I had never heard this before. The title caught my eye since this year I lost my beloved Mother in March and now seven months later my father is declining and it just feels like it all went by so fast - in the blink of an eye. I have never felt old until this year.

There's a scene in that animated movie where Ethel and Ernest go to a dance hall and a sign outside says "tonight the Jim Mac Band" which was Paul's dad's old jazz band!
Great film Ethel & Ernest, about the lives of Raymond Briggs (artist and author of The Snowman fame) parents, done by Raymond himself.

And because it's Paul, millions will love this song after listening to it over and over again ( because it's Paul ) for something magical here.. If an unknown artist recorded this song, and it sounded exactly the same ( shouldn't be hard to do at all--his singing voice is no better than an average singer --and the lyrics, music composition, arrangement and performance is on a high-school level ) it would be dismissed as an embarrassing piece of total crap.
Yes, the emperor's new clothes principle applies to music--ESPECIALLY music!

and if he hadn't been one of the Beatles, if he hadn't written some of the best songs of the last 50 or 55 years, if he weren't the most successful songwriter of all time - commercially at least, maybe people wouldn't be interested in listening. If Jonas Salk hadn't developed the polio vaccine, maybe nobody would care much about him either...if Orson Welles hadn't directed Citizen Kane, if Grant Wood hadn't painted American Gothic etc etc etc.

If this is an example of what he can compose in 2016…then in my opinion is he lost it big time. But it’s not to say he is still not the greatest composer of the 20th century. But these things come with age and priorities and passion changes….! I’m a big fan of Paul, I do think he and George Martin made the Beatles what they were.
