I noticed a similar thing with John G. Lake. He held services in the Masonic lodge at some point. What I found out is that the Masonic temples/lodges were the largest buildings available then. These men of God believed that God was in them so much that it didn't matter what anybody else did or what spirits had been conjured in such buildings, they would suspend all demonic operations and use those buildings for the purposes of God.
However, Jesus told the disciples to wait (not by claiming and confessing the power in them) in Jerusalem to receive the power from on high eventhough they had already received the mandate to preach the gospel. TL Osborn never did any miracle before he experienced from Jesus eventhough he already preached the gospel before.
