Now that's definitely an interesting concept right there... trying to incorporate wood gasification into a traditional type wood stove. Judging by your review here, there's certainly some work that still needs to be done. But leave it to you to mod it and make it work man! 👍 Loved your mad scientist testing and comparison by the way! 👌 Thanks for keeping it real (and honest) as always bro!
Chris, you're gonna need a medical gown or white robe with white gloves to become an official Mad Scientist!!! Oh, and don't forget a tube of Aloe Vera gel for the 3rd degree burns!! 🥸😷🤪
Thanks for the info. I was looking into this style, and since i need it for the warmth aspect, i will b looking into other styles. Thanks for the honest review
Wow, what a crap design on this stove. Basically the only thing they got right is the chimney. If I were going to design a stove, gasification or not, it would be nothing like this at all. I wish one of these manufacturers would work with someone who actually knows engineering AND uses stoves to come up with a design. I think we could end up with a MUCH better design than anything available
Let's see: doesn't heat well, poor glass fitting, glass breakable, heavy, no real brand name, has a shopping bag as a case. Enough said. The burn counts are funny. The cut count not so much. Thanks for the video. Very credible test.
This one might be good for warmer weather like Southern California where you want a hot tent but don’t want to make a sweat lodge. Happy Sunday! Cheers. Now you need an inflatable base for that tent- another lake float video?
Yeah hot weather tent stove lol. I do plan to do another floating tent video. Perhaps with one of these? Cheers bro and happy Sunday to you too. Thanks for watching
The size of the bag is a great idea for figuring out how big your wood has to be, great point. Pretty surprised the wood gasification stove performed so poorly in basically every way. I'd mark this one as funny and not worth the money.
The gasifier stove people have in their homes have a gauge/meter thermometer on them and it tells you when to close the damper to a certain setting, so the hot air doesn't just go up the chimney. So that stove set up is different. Maybe a damper so you can close it some?
Gasification stoves are great for cooking on but specifically designed to not to radiate heat out only up so yea, not surprised at this test. Did the glass break in the one you modified cause it's not designed to get that hot maybe?
Both pieces of glass broke. One when trying to install it and the second, I’m not sure when or why. But from the other reviews I screenshot, it seems to be a common problem with their glass. Thanks for watching bro.
Honestly, for the price there are far better tent stoves out there that can heat you up properly on those cold days. Gasification is a cool technology, but not sure it's gotten to the point where it's useful in heating a tent.
Thanks for review. Seen the Pomoly Dweller stove that just has gasification at the back and seems to work better than this idea. If it had been more efficient then maybe add fins to the first section of chimney to disperse heat.

I burn a lot of pine which sends a lot of sparks, so the higher the pipe the less chance of sparks coming back down on the tent. Which can be a real issue with my tentipi.
