The 10 sets of pullups and squats is actually General Physical Preparedness, not work capacity. My apologies to Louie Simmons. May God rest his soul.

Overall, this is insane volume for a healthy young male let alone a grandpa but then again, you're not called Toddzilla for no reason.
Tbh, you're primary the MAIN reason why I continue to push to better myself in hopes of someday getting at the international level despite being 31. As a mechanical engineer myself, you're one helluva role model uncle Todd!

What many people still don't seem to understand is that all this volume, capacity was built up through lots of years. Would be so awesome to see you in a podcast like EliteFTS with Dave Tate or a discussion with Matt Wenning. When it comes to conjugate they're hands down the best. Probably the only two guys who could add anything to what you do training-wise.

Always learning from you man, wish you all the best and victory that will be i think one of the greatest of the Team West vs Team East. Wanted to ask you, i am doing improvized training at home, with self made and use tools and bands, so when i do some of them with big weights my ulnar hurts after i do set. Its not long term pain just that couple of seconds then is gone. What hurts the most is middle part of ulnar so in the middle between wrist and elbow. Any advice uncle? Go Todd!

The bench press is a low value exercise. It may have some value if you a a press/shoulder roll guy.

The point at which your forearms are touching your biceps aka the positive elbow stressor/stretcher portion of the JM press, you’d like your upper arm parallel to the floor, which is also 90 degrees to gravity, which is also the hardest part of any free weight movement.
If your doing them sitting you won’t get the elbow stress you want because of where the weights resistance is relative to gravity specifically during the portion of rep when your elbows are stretched
Might sound confusing spoken here but it’s a critical general weightlifting physics light principle to learn to be able understand what’s really getting stressed in during the beginninv middle end ranges of all different free weight exercises because of gravities relation to your muscles. Simpler example of this is when doing biceps curls standing how little do you feel your biceps when at the very bottom and very top of rep? Very Little because of biceps relation to gravity. Most effort on biceps when 90 degrees to gravity or perpendicular.
NOW if you want to get fancy and you want to get closer to a normal JM press effects while seated you can get closer by removing gravity and hacking where you want maximum force with a thoughtful placed cable pulley. Unfortunately this location would roughly be behind your head and you can’t pull a straight bar like that , your best option would be a long rope pulldown attachment where you press straight outwards/ a little upwards, while seated, while the pulley attachment is close behind you, exiting around your upper back level. There’s also a cable seated bench press machine you could do a JM type press on but that’s only wide grip. If you know your angles better you can get a nice approximation on Trx/gymnastic rings.
Or way easier just stick to uncle Todd’s advice. Thanks for leading me down the right path!
