My compliments for how you did the music..You let us hear the play by play and did not drown it out with the music. Some people believe the music makes the video..but in baseball the play by play and the actual event make it. Music just adds a little spice, as you have demonstrated so well.
These are all great throws, but the part about the Puig throw that puzzles me is how he even though he couldn't get his feet fully into throwing position, and therefore doesn't get all the hip and shoulder rotation you'd want to get, it doesn't look like the ball goes any slower. He's practically running to his left and throwing to his right, and still throws it on a line.
I don't like to insult people on the internet since communication on the internet is both very impersonal and very personal at the same time, but since I have now twice received the same stupid response to my comment I am going to make an exception. "...not that great of a play overall...BUT THE THROW IS STILL SPECTACULAR" !!!!!!! "This was a comment on the sloppiness of the fielding, not the merit of the throw." Just because the video focuses on the merits of the throws DOES NOT mean that I am not allowed to comment on other aspects of the video. I could, if I wanted, comment on their uniforms. Or I could comment on the announcers. Or I could even comment on the physics at work in #6 that causes the trajectory of the ball to curve. Thus, I can only conceive of two explanations for your comment: 1) you misread my comment and thought I was saying that #1 was not a great throw (which is not true; I said much the opposite), and you (stupidly) responded without double checking to make sure you understood what I was saying; or 2) for some reason your mind is so hard set and inflexible (aka stupid) that you are unable to consider things from any other perspective except for the one that is explicitly stated. Either way, you are an idiot and it would be in the best interest of everyone's psychological health if in the future you refrained from posting such idiotic comments. How you go about completing this task is up to you. You could stop posting altogether, or you could take more care when posting to ensure that you understand what other people are saying and that what you are saying logically correlates. I don't give a shit which you choose. But until you do, shut the fuck up and fuck you. Have a nice day. -_-
+Jack Engel Yah, some of the best. What makes this so amazing and the reason baseball players are underrated as some of the best athletes in the world. The skills to both hit and make these insane defensive plays. With the exception of the DH, you can't just do one or the other. Very specific skills disparate skills. Insane.
I'm a Yankees fan but you have to give mad props to Manny. He freaking kicked the ball and somehow still got enough control of the ball to throw it against his momentum. Looked like the ball got sucked into his hand like in Madden.
just learning baseball and ima lefty so im just wondering when you throw a ball, do you follow through with your left foot as ur throwing or do you keep it planted on the ground.
ALL sick in their own right, but for me the trajectory on the Hicks throw and the tag on the Reddick throw make them my top 2, with Beltran at number 3 because of its playoff pressure and importance. But im being picky here. All super throws. Love it!
For me this was the best throw of the year: Parra throws out Puig going for third For those that cant be bothered it's Parra gunning down Puig at third. Absolute missile. So glad he got the recognition he deserves for his D this year.
its so crazy watching this if uve seen billy Hamilton tagging up from third on that very shallow hit to center I mean the ball was caught 20 feet from second and he still made it home. then to watch this and the people cant get 90 feet from a ball hit into the deep outfield. it just blows my mind. if uve never seen the clip just look it up im sure its all over the internet
If anyone has ever watched Brett Lawrie play third, he is one of the most exciting defensive players in the game. Doesn't get any recognition, but he should be right up there with Machado or higher. He is no Scott Rolen but a darn good fielder for sure.
No surprise but you missed Alex Gordon, who only had something like SEVENTEEN outfield assists in 2013... a couple from the left field wall to home on the fly. At least the AL players know, you don't run on Alex Gordon.
Ah come on. Hicks waited 'til he got off the base to pick up that ball and throw him out 'cause Hicks knew he could do it. That base runner never saw it coming. That's why I called it greedy. It was a gamble to go for a third. Double was easy. Triple not so much. He knew if he picked up the ball as he reached 2nd he wouldn't have run for 3rd.
george clooney If there was a more boring announcer than Vin Scully he would be DEAD,. Good Gwad even the Dodgers deserve better than that count Dracula voice of his. Can you imagine a girl having an orgasm in that voice???
I think the day after Puig's throw to 3rd, ESPN had a story about how the throw was an accident and that the ball actually came out of his hand at the wrong time (clearly turned out to be fine).
camera angles from ground level let you appreciate these a lot more... also.. note how much they aim away to compensate for the ball to tail (obvious with #6) 1:40
How in the hell is (Insert baseball player here) of the (insert baseball team here) not on this list? I've seen him throw out (exaggerate number or runners here) while (exaggerate importance of game and feat here)! THIS IS (insert random gripe here)
Everyone is going to have their opinions BUT....Gerardo Parra gunning down Yasiel Puig at 3rd base from right field, then giving him the Dikembe Mutombo finger wag had to be on here and it wasn't. It was also the second time last year he nailed him which made it even sweeter.
#9 Superb umpire mechanics. The second base ump goes out to cover the fly ball, The third base ump hustles to second to cover there and yeah that's the PLATE UMPIRE who ran 90 feet up the line in full gear to be in perfect position to punch out the runner at third.
2:05 : "Here's the throw, it's offline, BUT IT'S RIGHT THERE!" that announcer is a BUFFOON
I remember watching the Machado play live. It was incredible.
Hicks' throw was just amazing... on the fly from the warning track!
My arm hurts just watching these throws
joshjhutton same
Jones and Machado. Two of Orioles best
Aaron Hicks threw a perfect Hail Mary. God Wells is slow
I wells was as fast as someone like Jose Reyes then he would have made it and maybe get an inside the Parker but he's too slow
But if he had played it better, and hadn't let it bounce around, he wouldn't have needed to make that throw.
Yeah, but the way he baited him into going for three tho
Have to love the O's defense

Puig should have been on here a lot! Holy Crap that guy can throw
So cute! So much talent at such a young age what a lil stud
Music was a bit annoying.
evan williams Nice to know.
evan williams you don't have any friends
How is andrelton simmons not in here at all? His highlights are on the related videos on the right. i encourage all to check it out.
I could find 10 better throws by Simmons alone.
simmons didn't just make one good throw. he made like 300. it's stupid that he isn't in here at all.
If I didn't see Beltran's throw against LA during the playoffs someone was gonna be fired! Lol
Nice video!
This is great. #1 is actually not that great of a play overall imo since he didn't field it cleanly, but the throw is still spectacular.
This was a montage on the best throws, not best fielding.
This was a comment on the sloppiness of the fielding, not the merit of the throw.
Of course it came from an o's fan.
I don't like to insult people on the internet since communication on the internet is both very impersonal and very personal at the same time, but since I have now twice received the same stupid response to my comment I am going to make an exception.

Tracy Coxon Please send your comment to 99% of the people who post...everywhere. Well done.
Awesome collecting. Not sure all of them would of held up as outs under non-instant replay review but cool stuff never the less....Keep em coming.
Pure awesome athletic display!!
My God!! Nothing ever ever beats baseball!!
That Michael Saunders at #6 was very impressive considering it was the 14th inning. Most ppl would've been like "forget this, I'm ready to go home"
Aaron hicks.............UNBELIEVABLE!!!!!!
That one by Machado was sick. #2 gets an honorable mention. Almost reminded me of that Jose Guillen throw in Colorado.
This is a great video. Perfect UA-cam formula...well done.
Best throws I have ever seen
+Jack Engel Yah, some of the best. What makes this so amazing and the reason baseball players are underrated as some of the best athletes in the world. The skills to both hit and make these insane defensive plays. With the exception of the DH, you can't just do one or the other. Very specific skills disparate skills. Insane.
lol 2:07 or so, "It's on line but it's right there!"
I'm a Yankees fan but you have to give mad props to Manny. He freaking kicked the ball and somehow still got enough control of the ball to throw it against his momentum. Looked like the ball got sucked into his hand like in Madden.
I love this video I watch so much
I like the music 😀
just learning baseball and ima lefty so im just wondering when you throw a ball, do you follow through with your left foot as ur throwing or do you keep it planted on the ground.
Honestly, #4's catch and tag was more impressive than the throw :D caught it blind backhanded, made the tag, and hung on... that was unbelievable.
Are you kidding did you not see the throw he had to make...?
ALL sick in their own right, but for me the trajectory on the Hicks throw and the tag on the Reddick throw make them my top 2, with Beltran at number 3 because of its playoff pressure and importance. But im being picky here. All super throws. Love it!

Someone's an Orioles fan lol.
No thanks, you should really try growing up a bit!
evan williams
Lol Nationals fan.
Lol a marlins fan
Lol I'm a Mets fan. I can laugh at myself lol. Although we have been playing much better of late!
This is the first time I actually agree with #1 on a top 10.....and I'm a Dodgers fan
that machado throw from across the diamond - WOW
#5 was the best in my opinon great play
I remember watching #1 on the weekly mlb highlight reel, still can't believe he made that throw
Damn I watched Aaron Hicks play for the new Britain rock cats last season and it's just amazing how good he has gotten
awesome throws!!!
Great accuracy and arm strength
Nice vid
The video's great! The music is really annoying, when you turn up the volume between clips.
its so crazy watching this if uve seen billy Hamilton tagging up from third on that very shallow hit to center I mean the ball was caught 20 feet from second and he still made it home. then to watch this and the people cant get 90 feet from a ball hit into the deep outfield. it just blows my mind. if uve never seen the clip just look it up im sure its all over the internet
you can tell on #2 Aaron Hicks wanted him to go for 3 thats why he waited a bit to grab the ball, great play
Top 10 of 2014- 1. Cespedes, 2. Cespedes, 3. Cespedes
A Jones is a beast!
no more music
I remember watching #3 and I'm pretty sure all of St. Louis was thinking, "Jon Jay what are you doing!?"
Hicks throw was incredible
16 outfield assists from Juan Lagares...showing at least one of them would have been nice
Joe DeFazio One of the best fielders in the MLB in my opinion. He could have easily made this.
number 2 should be number 1, amazing throw.
good video, my old yanks cant run making throws like this possible.
That #2 throw that Hicks made is the the best of all time.
yasiel puig got the best arm in the league I was surprised he wasn't 1 on this list...he makes epic throws almost every game 9/10
I was watching the game with Aaron hicks throw. Im a Yankee fan but wow that was a rocket
Machado is my favorite player!
Yoenis cespedes?! That guy has a cannon arm!
I meant why is there no cespedes
2:00 I didn't think the throw was "off line" at all. Perfect.
Machado has a Robot arm.
That's a f##king good throw on #2
If anyone has ever watched Brett Lawrie play third, he is one of the most exciting defensive players in the game.
Or Yoenis Céspedes
Caelroigh Blunt I'm not surprised. Typical bias. Ignores the Gold Glove player who has made some incredible throws.
amazing
Hicks at #2 baited that batter perfectly. Caught him getting too greedy.
it wasn't being greedy, that was easily a triple. only reason it wasn't, was that amazing throw that hicks made.
Ah come on. Hicks waited 'til he got off the base to pick up that ball and throw him out 'cause Hicks knew he could do it. That base runner never saw it coming. That's why I called it greedy. It was a gamble to go for a third. Double was easy. Triple not so much. He knew if he picked up the ball as he reached 2nd he wouldn't have run for 3rd.
j adams
even hicks said though that the throw slipped.
That sounds like a pretense to a joke. Hicks must've known he was strong enough to make that. Funny though that he would say that.
j adams no it actually did slip, he didn't have a good grip on the ball and released it early.
What? How? Awesome :D
someone should invent a mute music app.
other than that, nice clips.
I'm a Dodgers fan, so you caused me escruciating pain at Number 3. :/
Same. Lol. That series was tough to watch.
#2 was fucking ridiculous
..m
george clooney If there was a more boring announcer than Vin Scully he would be DEAD,. Good Gwad even the Dodgers deserve better than that count Dracula voice of his. Can you imagine a girl having an orgasm in that voice???
Ronnie Bishop i can imagine that actually...and its turning me on
+george clooney he was safe lol watch in slow
I think the day after Puig's throw to 3rd, ESPN had a story about how the throw was an accident and that the ball actually came out of his hand at the wrong time (clearly turned out to be fine).
That Hicks throw though.
Was yoenis cespedes' throw in 2013 because that should be number one
number 6 just 👍👍👍👍👌👌👌
People who have never played baseball before don't realize how long of throws these are. It doesn't seem that far on tv but it is
no ichiro? lol
What music was playing in the background?
camera angles from ground level let you appreciate these a lot more... also.. note how much they aim away to compensate for the ball to tail (obvious with #6) 1:40
We have a O's fan, how is Machado's play the pest
*best
all great throws but clearly an O's fan
You had Adam Jones twice in the video, #9, #7
Spicybutt12 cause hes awesome
You must be an Orioles fan...
Texas Fragrance go orioles
How in the hell is (Insert baseball player here) of the (insert baseball team here) not on this list? I've seen him throw out (exaggerate number or runners here) while (exaggerate importance of game and feat here)! THIS IS (insert random gripe here)
Hicks has an absolute cannon.
The music ruined an otherwise awesome compilation.
What about Puig's throw in his first game in the majors to end the game? That should have been on the list.
Sick
dang michael saunders!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
what´s the name of this song??
Gotta love the O`s
Can you tell me what is the background music
Everyone is going to have their opinions BUT....Gerardo Parra gunning down Yasiel Puig at 3rd base from right field, then giving him the Dikembe Mutombo finger wag had to be on here and it wasn't.
It was also the second time last year he nailed him which made it even sweeter.
Some nice plays in here but obviously made by an Os fan. Can't believe no love for Alex Gordon in the video.
What's the name of the song in the background please?
endermanslayer24 it is a fact, clean ur ears cuz that's good music
#9 Superb umpire mechanics. The second base ump goes out to cover the fly ball, The third base ump hustles to second to cover there and yeah that's the PLATE UMPIRE who ran 90 feet up the line in full gear to be in perfect position to punch out the runner at third.
hicks should be number 1
What's the music used in this video ?
This video also could be titled Top 10 Orioles Throws of 2013.
Puig could have his own Top 10 that man has the best arm in RF if not in all MLB outfielders
no doubt. he doesnt even know how to throw in right form and he throws the strongest and furthest balls
holly crap beltran you can throw
I like how Machado uses his arm to turn a play from about #8 on not top 10 because of the bobble to #1 on top 10 because of the incredible throw.
whats the name of the music you used?
