Ah another one of those famous OLF cliffhangers. You have a lot of confidence inflating tires with starting fluid in a shed with hay in it. Another good video, just with we could have seen when that tire beaded up on the rim. Sounds like it was pretty neat to see.
Great video Wes. We have an old ford f8000 grain truck with a cat 3208 and it sat for a year. We go to move it out of the shed this summer and it turned out it had bad injectors. We were told that injectors for those engines were hard to find. It ended up costing us 1250$ to get the injectors rebuilt.
From Kenyon area MN, know Mankato fairly well. Missing home right now though! Not far from you down in NC, would love to take a trip sometime to come see your operation.
Reminds me of the 4960 start video, held us in suspense for a whole day.... Gotta love the wait and see programming, bet it fired right up ! Great video and superb editing to hold us in the lurch !
Thank you for sharing your fish emulsion videos. I have decided to use it as an invisible fence around the jack wagon that posted his property. This should make for an interesting deer season for him and his hunting lease.
those little 3208s are pretty popular here in the southwest and across the border in mexico. Miles better than the C7 and they truly purr like a cat. Great engine for a pickup too. I love the 5020 and they're damn good workhorses!
i got the same luck now 3 point hitch snow blower, the are one heavy duty unit.i put the hydraulic turn and the hydraulic top angle pitch.works very well.
When I was taught to use starting either to seat a tire bead was told to never do it without removing the core from the tire stem then when you light the either the open inflater acts as a pressure relief port preventing the tire from exploding 99% of the time after its seated apply the airline to
Man that is so mean to leave us hanging like that. My case has those old stickers on it the tractor company I use Knox land still uses those old case stickers. Combine looks nice if I had a use for it if be interested it's a nice size machine can't wait to see it move
Loving the 5020 wes. We had to split our 3010 (smaller with a 4 banger in it) to replace the 540/1000 pto pin which is about 3/16s thick because the stub shaft backed off while cutting hay and my dad put it back on without resetting the pin and broke it (common problem on the 10 series) and cant wait to see the tr70 spring to life why dont you and time use both at the same time get done so much quicker.
That's a nice bright flashlight you got lol I'm gunna take a guess that it's a 250 lumen nebo slyde flashlight work light combo we had someone order one through us this past week first time I'd ever seen one there awesome flashlights lol
Old 3208s don't like starting that easy especially when they lose their prime the 12 volt plunger on the injection pump likes to stick in the closed position so you don't get any fuel to the IP. When you do get them started they start to smoke like a bitch that whole barn would be full of blue smoke lol.
I always just figured you kept the TR70 around for a backup in case something happened to the TR96 that left you without a combine when you needed one. Looking to buy a new TR combine soon and have the 96 as a backup?
Been watching all your old videos lately from beginning to end cause its good entertainment, and their educational. I've noticed that you have change and fixed plenty of tires over the years. Don't know how much they cost but it seems like you do it enough to own a tire changing station. After all time is money - Right Tim? :) Seems like having one would be worth it. Have you ever considered buying one? Maybe you just enjoy lighting them on fire so much that you don't want one? Just wondering.
better to visit sonoma and the other valleys in california. Which is pumping up frash water and lowering the water table and soon they will no longer be growing any wines ..... this whole farming bussinies is not without trouble
with all the tires you have and getting flats out in the field have you ever considered getting a gas powered air compressor? I got 2 got a big one like the tire trucks run and a smaller one like an emglo with a 5 hp Honda engine and they come in handy. Oh and can you do a video on your home made air tanks you got
sounds like only one injector hope you can find older cat motor to pull good injector and replace without having to buy all rebuilt cleaned injectors that are cleaned sometimes they are pricy just to get rid of the machine save money
So I'm curious - a JD 5020 wheatland with a 3pt? I've never seen that.. So is it a rare optioned wheatland with a 3pt ? Or is it a standard 5020 with wheatland fenders!?
doesnt make sense to keep that tr70 in the shed if its only an injector problem? you rebuilt a 4960 surely an injector is nothing to you? if you got that combine going and kept it, you could run two combines? much more efficient
well I can name most major cities in the U.S. then most swedes can ..... I even know some in canada ,..... but there isn't many cities in canada worth mensioning it seems it is mostly forest and trap land.
If anyone knowswhere Iowa is ,,,, I am from sweden I been to California 5 gid damn times ,,,, and I drove into Nevada to to watch some air races with WWII war planes ,,, the good old mustangs sounded just rright ..... keep pushing the younsters and brag on UA-cam how much they know

Keep up the good work Dad.
2 OLF legendary pieces of equipment in this video... 5020, and TR70
I can't believe you treat Tim like that ... give him some HELL for me too LMAO
Looking forward to the videos for the sync replacements. Really enjoy your repair videos. Thanks for providing them.
I love seeing your 5020 out and going the new generation tractors were so cool looking
That's a great idea to start a fire near hay, I learned the hard way, I burned down a $40,000 hay barn by doing something similar
From Kenyon area MN, know Mankato fairly well. Missing home right now though! Not far from you down in NC, would love to take a trip sometime to come see your operation.

Picking on our kids. builds corrector in them. Helps them to be able to take things in stride
Maybe you can do a running barn tour of all your barns. I wonder if you put all your equipment end to end would it go a mile?

You should get two combines running. Half the harvest time
Mankato is just south of me in MN.

Man that is so mean to leave us hanging like that. My case has those old stickers on it the tractor company I use Knox land still uses those old case stickers. Combine looks nice if I had a use for it if be interested it's a nice size machine can't wait to see it move

Too bad your dad doesn't like being on camera, I bet he has some really cool stories.

I hope there's going to be a part 2
I hope that there will be a part 2.
some farmers in california have plowed down their wines and start growing crops that require less water
hoping there is a part two to this
I always just figured you kept the TR70 around for a backup in case something happened to the TR96 that left you without a combine when you needed one. Looking to buy a new TR combine soon and have the 96 as a backup?
😃 yay I can't wait until the next video
That combine was bought only a couple of miles from my home farm

Onelonelyfarmer why did you set the tire on fire? I do not know much about that I was just wandering it was interesting. Great video man

you could run both combines right? i mean, you wanted to run 2 mowers so 2 combines shouldnt be a problem right?
That where live in Minnesota
doesnt make sense to keep that tr70 in the shed if its only an injector problem? you rebuilt a 4960 surely an injector is nothing to you? if you got that combine going and kept it, you could run two combines? much more efficient
