Obviously as y’all have noticed we’ve changed our editing style. This was a very large decision as it’s a drastic change and these videos are significantly more expensive to have edited compared to the very simple style it was before. We made the decision understanding that there would be a decent chunk of people who wouldn’t like it or would be caught off guard by something so new and different. This editing style is here to stay, at least for the foreseeable future. Here at Sorta Stupid we are always changing and trying new things to avoid getting stale and to ensure that WE continue to have fun making videos. We’ve gotten some insane pushback in the past for decisions we’ve made that caused the channel to grow at a much faster rate and expand the audience in ways not possible otherwise. We wholeheartedly believe over time this will grow the channel to heights it wouldn’t be able to reach otherwise and we’re committed to seeing this through. Trust us when we say we see your comments and feedback and do take it into consideration. Unfortunately though comments aren’t always an indication of the best direction for the channel or what the majority of the audience wants. The feedback we’ve gotten on this video that’s been constructive we absolutely are taking into consideration and discussing with the team We will continue monitoring our channels statistics that UA-cam supplies us so we can make an informed decision after a few months of testing. For example, as of writing this based on views, comments and likes of comments only about 2% of people who’ve watched the video so far are frustrated with the new editing style. Even though looking at the comment section it seems like way more. We hope you give this new style a chance if you’re feeling you prefer the old style but if you just don’t like the new style and can’t watch the videos anymore we understand. I fully understand you guys wanting to keep it fresh but I gotta say I feel the old format was much better. It probably woudn't be so jarring if this style began with a new series instead of part way into this one. Also, I think the new format could work better if there wasn't that constant zoom in on you guys, it's like staring at one of those hypno illusions too long and your vision feels like you're being sucked in.

It is, when we run tests we run tests for an extended period of time. You can’t get accurate data off just a few videos. But overall we personally like this editing style and feel it makes a better video overall We do understand that some people just won’t like the videos editing and possibly will stop watching because of it, but we also know there’s a ton of people who also feel the same about the old style of editing As I’m sure you can imagine these videos in this style are significantly more expensive to have made than the other style but we believe it’s the right decision

I've been watching you guys since you started the SpongeBob reactions and look forward to them every Sunday. I feel like the new style takes away from the reactions. I like to watch everyone's reactions to things happening, not a close-up of just one of you. I think everyone complaining has the same thought. The screen with you guys each in a bubble in the side worked fine, but that wasn't consistent throughout the whole video. We don't need the quick flashy cuts, we just want to see the episode and your faces. Yes, it's basic, but that's what these videos are.
I will admit for me personally, I am not a fan of this editing style. I don't need the constant cuts. I like the vibe of a group reaction and seeing everyone- even if everyone else's reaction wasn't worth showing. And also, I don't need to see the clips of Spongebob before the reaction. I've seen Spongebob, I know what you are watching. Just having Spongebob in a small box for context is good enough. I think this style works better with channels like Spilling the Milk because they are chaotic in nature. They are not there to watch a show, but to have fun with a show.
I kinda want to see their faces at all times...I mean, if copyright issues have been getting real bad, and this is necessary, then sure but if not then I hope we go back to the old format. Or at least a happy balance between the two, whatever that would look like. edit: Though I'm thinking, wouldn't this make dealing with Copyright harder? There's just parts of a spongebob episode shown in a streamlined clip multiple times with only side cropping. So the copyright idea wouldn't make sense, right? Maybe it's just a style change.

I think the idea of this new format is interesting in some aspects (like the funny editing and having less cuts on the video)... But to be honest I kinda prefer the old one because seeing all your reactions is more interesting and I would say even more "comfortable"(?). Like other people said, it kinda gives the vibe you all are watching the episode with us. But I'm going to give a chance to get used to it

I’m with everyone else, I prefer the older style. But it’s not a deal-breaker. Just One Bite has a deleted scene with Squidward getting blown up by gasoline while entering the Krusty Krab. Kinda explains why Plankton doesn’t try stealing the formula at night. Idiot Box is easily one of my favorite episodes. It’s just perfect.
We won’t be re-doing the videos, no. We understand that not everyone will vibe with this style of editing. It’s a bummer but it’s not possible for us to give everyone the editing they prefer Our focus is just on making the best video possible and we personally prefer this style. The reason why we love seeing your reaction is we feel like we are rewatching a show we loved with a friend group! Obviously you guys arent actually friends with Billys and us on youtube, but that's the magic of your channel. I love that you guys actually talk and care about these shows! Other react channels just put their face on the corner and say nothing, you guys are actually there, you show off your personalities through your reactins and thought of the shows! That is awesome! That being said, the new editing throw all of what i said above out of the window. I do not feel like i am watching a show with you guys, I'm watching clips of the show with clips of you reacting to it with wierd edited memes. I am open to changes, but this just ait it!
This new editing style takes away seeing yalls reactions in real time as the episode is playing... which is a bummer cuz it looks more corporate that way. I rly think reactions to shows like Spongebob should be like watching it w friends, not like watching a Fine Bros video... Nonetheless a Spongebob reaction is always a thumbs up in my book👍
For what it's worth guys, now you're literally just broadcasting parts of the episode, sometimes with your voice over it and sometimes with cuts to your faces. It's not even blurred or covered. That's a tough sell for "fair use".
It’s actually not. This style actually falls within fair use way more than our older style and we’ve had significantly less copyright issues since the change. That being said we have taken feedback from this video already and added our cameras to all moments where the show is exclusively being shown 😁

But I did also notice that you fixed the editing in later videos. In case you didn't see my comment there, it was an A+ fix; so much better! I super appreciate that you guys were able to listen to the feedback here and update your new idea, rather than just sticking to the new style exactly or swapping entirely back to the old one. Let me rephrase that, I guess what I’m saying is that me and other viewers enjoyed the style of watching other people’s reactions without so many cuts involved. It’s fine if this style was planned at first, but now that you guys are changing it now, it just feels off putting at the moment. But like you said, it’s just something we might’ve to get used to later on.
And that’s what we’re giving 😁 You might not like the editing and that’s okay as we knew some people wouldn’t like this when we made the change. Hopefully you’ll find you like the change after getting used to it. That’s all we can really hope for when it comes to people who don’t like this style of editing.

Thanks for hanging out. And we don’t see as “dying on a hill” we’re taking feedback from the community that just isn’t “I hate this.” The previous form of editing had a lot of pushback initially and then it evolved into what it was. We’re expecting this to do the same. This style isn’t a final version, just another step we want to go.
You know Squidward could’ve just ordered a regular Krabby Patty after the Triple Krabby Supreme. SpongeBob wouldn’t have cared as much to give that to a customer himself. Can’t imagine why characters only try ideas once.
The new editing style has pros and cons. The old style used to be more personal and entertaining with little post production effort put into it in terms of cuts and other altering of the footage. This old style really shined because there were 3-4 people and it was really fun to watch something alongside someone who is human. The new style will for sure get more attention and bring new folks to the channel for sure but I think the charm of the old way is kinda losing its.. well... charm.
I feel like this new format is better suited for the longer content like movies that are a bit slower paced, rather than cartoon episodes where it's 15-30 minutes (counting commercials) where the interesting/reaction-worthy content is a bit more... hectic, I guess, cutting to reactions and taking all focus out of the show. The old format feels like chilling in front of the tv and hanging out. And ngl, I barely registered the format change for Lilo & Stitch or the Lucario movie. But here it just feels too fast-paced and brought my overall experience/enjoyment down. And yeah, obviously that's my opinion about my enjoyment and y'all gotta do what you gotta do to boost the numbers and move the channel forward, just giving some feedback Tl;dr: I feel this style of editing is definitely better suited for movies, the old style for cartoons

Eh, sorta like the old style. I like seeing you guy's reaction, AS it happens on screen and not a second or two later, especially on like long series reactions; like Spongebob, or a series with deep lore and storytelling like Avatar; TLAB or Any movies. I'd get it if to also avoid copyright strikes, but if none was given before then I see no reason to fix what wasn't broken. lol
Any specific complaints I see are answered by a non specific response like “statistics show” and “less then 2%” I feel like people want a specific response that isn’t “trust us you will grow to like it. Oh and most of the people who don’t like it are less then 2%” little peeve though. Nothing big

The majority of the complaints are “I don’t like it go back” without any constructive feedback We’ve actually had a few discussions with people who had constructive criticism that went beyond We’d be glad to answer any actual questions people have. If you have any you could leave them here. We’re actively making a point to spend more time in todays comments specifically to answer questions Unfortunately the majority of the negative comments are “I don’t like this go back” or “this is worse that was better go back” there isn’t really much for us to answer with comments like that

Personally I will say I’m more of a fan of the old editing style. There’s just something about seeing everyone’s faces react to the same moment at the same time that I personally like. Not trying to shit on the new editing style because I know it took a lot more work to edit. Maybe there’s a way to combine the old with the new. Either way, I’ll keep watching. Love what you guys do 👍

Old editing seems preferable, edits can be funny but people watch the reaction *for your reactions* not the funny edits. Even the slow buildup, not just the highlights.
The reaction is very much still there and of course this goes without saying people watch our channel for a variety of reasons This may not be your preferred style and that’s okay 😁

Guys no offense, but all the cutting around really takes me out of the reaction and the experience. I preferred the much simpler editing style just cause it felt more casual. I like being able to see all 4 of your faces, as well as what you're allowed to show of the program without getting copy striked, all at the same time rather than cutting back and forth between each of you individually and the show itself. I understand the desire to want to grow and expand, but something as simple as a reaction video, I think, is better received when kept casual.
Just gonna throw in my two cents as well: I prefer the old editing style. Being able to see people's reactions at the same time as the show, I highly prefer that way, since I am sure people watch these for the reactions, and when you constantly cut away from faces and the show, it's harder to follow along. I know you guys listen, so that's just my two cents.
And how are the full reactions strung together on the Patreon? If they're still the same as before, the way people generally enjoy the reactions (show & faces at the same time) then that is behind a paywall, and you Could get more Patreons by stringing people along with that fact, but that doesn't seem like a healthy way to get new members. I'd drop 5 bucks just to watch the old way.

I don't know about your other viewers, but when I watch a reaction video, I do it to see how other people REACT to the show/music/game etc. I'm not here to expierence the thing for the first time, in fact in most cases, I'm already well acquainted with it, have a strong opinion about it, and just want to watch other people's reactions/thoughts/analysis. This new editing format ain't it for me.
CRAP CRAP CRAP I was really put off by the amount of comments that were complaining about the new editing style- BUT son of a gun..man I didn’t wanna sound like another hater in a sea of egotistical viewers..but Sorta Stupid my beloved I swear to you in comparison to your old editing ways, that grew on us first so yea like ofc this new-gen jump cut in your face editing style is gonna be received poorly. Obviously you can do whatever you want, we wanna see you take charge of your channels future. But DO NOT expect this new stuff to “grow” on people I promise this will be an issue for a while. Me personally I agree with the people who say: “I miss seeing all 4 of your faces at once” it truly was the highlight of your reactions to me as well :( but I trust you know what you’re doing & respect you for it. Just please keep in mind it is NOT a minority of people speaking out about it, & if you ever feel the need to change back please do not look at it like defeat, you’re not our parasocial slaves, we’re just giving our feedback & would be delighted to see the old editing style stick for years to come.
The quick cuts on the video fucks with my eyesight and can get kinda overwhelming but I found that just treating it like a podcast and not looking at the video itself works for me xD
If I remeber correctly, there is a scene that was removed after the episode's first airing in "Just One Bite" in which the Krusty Krab's security system dropped gasoline and a match on Squidward causing an explosion. I think that the episode aired really close to "9/11" and that might have caused the change.
From what I heard, 9/11 was one of the reasons that scene was pulled, but the more significant reason is because Nickelodeon ultimately decided they didn’t approve of a joke involving gas and a lit match. The scene has been retained in Canada though, but not on streaming services, just on public broadcast.
I don’t want this to come off as mean but I think this is the first time I couldn’t finish a SpongeBob reaction of you guys…..the new editing just isn’t fun to watch. It’s too flashy and distracting while the old style made me feel like i was watching it with you guys which is what made it so fun. It was nice while it lasted but im gonna have to unfollow. One of my favorite channels to go to for reactions but there's no reactions anymore it feels like. Its episode, meme edit, episode, awkward zoom on to one person that lingers a half second too long, episode, meme, repeat. There's no discussion there's no insight. It begins and plays through and ends and it feels like it was rushed together as meme compilation with an occasional "😯" cut in between. Doesn't feel fun or personal anymore, just like any typical reaction channel now.
I think you guys have fun insights but I enjoy reaction channels for reactions; all the extra editing distracts from what you guys are saying/doing. I do wish you guys the absolute best of luck though, as you all seem like really fun people!

I personally like the old editing with all of you at once better. Seeing everyone at once with the show/movie in the background is easier to watch for the eyes.
It is a shame you had do this editing for these two episodes. These were good ones and i couldnt even see you guys react to some of the important parts. I also hate its only 24 minutes and a lot of it was just the show. Keep this editing for other videos. Would like to see your faces for more sponebob ones.

I think there is a middle ground to be found with the new editing style. It doesn't have to change back to the old style and can keep the snappy edits with memes but I feel like there are some parts here where we hear the reaction but don't see it which is not really the best way to handle this. I feel like the cams should at least always be visible.
I agree and we’re absolutely taking constructive criticism like yours into account and looking for a solid middle ground. Finding a way to have us all on screen more could help with that 😁
i love the effort put into this new style, but i much prefer the old style where i can see everyone at once, cus even if one of you guys are talking or reacting usually one or all of the 4 makes a face in light of that and i rewind back from time to time to see and take in everyones reaction to the same thing lol. i much prefer the old style, it feels more like we are watching it together as well rather than watching a youtube video. I think its called real time reacting yeah. I know you guys are on patreon with the unedited version but youtube is free and im a broke teen so i guess ill just have to deal with the new style lol

Old editing style is better. This cuts back and forth way too much. Better to stick with the simple format of there being the faces, the video, and not a bunch of jumping around with the camera. I've been watching you guys for a while, love your vids. But the vast majority of comments aren't a fan of this editing style. It's better to listen to the actual voice of the community rather than listen to the analytics and numbers.
I guess i will continue to watch your videos, and i understand that y'all like this type of videos way more than the older format, but this REALLY changes the vibes, in a "bad" way. If i was watching a reaction of one singular person, it would be quite ok to do it like that, but when is three or four people watching something, it's just not that cool, like, when there is an especific scene where more than one of you get a cool reaction, i wouldn't want to see "the best reaction" out of y'all, i would like to see all of you, it's way more fun, easy to watch, and the vibes are straight up good. Yesterday I watched y'all reaction to the Lucario movie, and while I do enjoy to actually hear the movie more easily now, and actually inderstand what is happening in a movie that i never watched before, I would still like to see y'all reacting to it at the same time, because that is what makes a "multiple people reacting to something" a special thing, like, these are fun videos, with fun people, reacting at something at the same time, and this new format just breaks most of the things that i was enjoying so much about the other videos. Of course, if I could, Patreon was my obvious choice for watching your content, but I just can't. So, if I have to watch it here on UA-cam, it would still just be better with the older format, but I am not gonna stop watching these videos, it's just not gonna be as fun as it was. Only the time will tell how it's going to be in the future, so i guess the only option that i have is to wait and see if it's going to stay like this, or if it will go back to normal...
I don't have problem with you showing your faces, I mean, that's the point of a reaction; however, i liked better the old sytle because you showed your faces and the reaction. Now, you cut the reaction with your faces, and your faces are cut by the reaction. That kind of style at least for me is not worth it.
Fun Fact: The person who made the Krabby Patty close-ups in "To Love a Patty" wasn't satisfied with them and they made his stomach turn while he was working on them.
So watched this on an alt account. This format does not fit your channel at all and was the very reason I had been watching you all in the first place. I have seen this very format completely ruin several reaction videos, especially during emotional or comedic scenes where seeing everyone's reaction at the same time is important. There is a reason I left spilling the milk and moved over to your channel. You had a better layout and the editing was much smoother and complimented the shows you watched. This editing completely killed all sense of rhythm you normally have with Spongebob, and legitimately made one of my favorite episodes unfun to watch you all react to. I won't be asking you to change it. I wish you all luck with the growth of your channel. Stay awesome.
I think I get what you’re going for with the change and I think it may be a slight overcorrection. You want to have the bigger reactions to certain jokes *pop* more, right? It’s not a bad idea but I think it comes at the cost of the smaller reactions that personally helped make the videos more relatable for me. Why not a mix? Have all faces on screen at all times in smaller windows but have the screens with the bigger reactions enlarge in the center? Really there’s gotta be a way to achieve what you want with this change while letting us see all the reactors at once…

We will continue monitoring our channels statistics that UA-cam supplies us so we can make an informed decision after a few months of testing.
For example, as of writing this based on views, comments and likes of comments only about 2% of people who’ve watched the video so far are frustrated with the new editing style. Even though looking at the comment section it seems like way more.
We hope you give this new style a chance if you’re feeling you prefer the old style but if you just don’t like the new style and can’t watch the videos anymore we understand. I fully understand you guys wanting to keep it fresh but I gotta say I feel the old format was much better. It probably woudn't be so jarring if this style began with a new series instead of part way into this one. Also, I think the new format could work better if there wasn't that constant zoom in on you guys, it's like staring at one of those hypno illusions too long and your vision feels like you're being sucked in.

I don’t know if the Spilling the Milk type of editing is here to stay but it’ll be tough to get used to.
It is, when we run tests we run tests for an extended period of time. You can’t get accurate data off just a few videos. But overall we personally like this editing style and feel it makes a better video overall
We do understand that some people just won’t like the videos editing and possibly will stop watching because of it, but we also know there’s a ton of people who also feel the same about the old style of editing
As I’m sure you can imagine these videos in this style are significantly more expensive to have made than the other style but we believe it’s the right decision

I've been watching you guys since you started the SpongeBob reactions and look forward to them every Sunday. I feel like the new style takes away from the reactions. I like to watch everyone's reactions to things happening, not a close-up of just one of you. I think everyone complaining has the same thought. The screen with you guys each in a bubble in the side worked fine, but that wasn't consistent throughout the whole video. We don't need the quick flashy cuts, we just want to see the episode and your faces. Yes, it's basic, but that's what these videos are.
I will admit for me personally, I am not a fan of this editing style. I don't need the constant cuts. I like the vibe of a group reaction and seeing everyone- even if everyone else's reaction wasn't worth showing. And also, I don't need to see the clips of Spongebob before the reaction. I've seen Spongebob, I know what you are watching. Just having Spongebob in a small box for context is good enough.
I think this style works better with channels like Spilling the Milk because they are chaotic in nature. They are not there to watch a show, but to have fun with a show.
I kinda want to see their faces at all times...I mean, if copyright issues have been getting real bad, and this is necessary, then sure but if not then I hope we go back to the old format. Or at least a happy balance between the two, whatever that would look like.
edit: Though I'm thinking, wouldn't this make dealing with Copyright harder? There's just parts of a spongebob episode shown in a streamlined clip multiple times with only side cropping. So the copyright idea wouldn't make sense, right? Maybe it's just a style change.
Not a big fan of the new editing style to be honest. I like seeing everyone’s reaction at the same time. Sometimes simple is better in my opinion and if it ain’t broke don’t fix it. Nevertheless, you guys do your thing. I respect it.

I think the idea of this new format is interesting in some aspects (like the funny editing and having less cuts on the video)...
But to be honest I kinda prefer the old one because seeing all your reactions is more interesting and I would say even more "comfortable"(?). Like other people said, it kinda gives the vibe you all are watching the episode with us. But I'm going to give a chance to get used to it

This new editing style takes away seeing yalls reactions in real time as the episode is playing... which is a bummer cuz it looks more corporate that way. I rly think reactions to shows like Spongebob should be like watching it w friends, not like watching a Fine Bros video... Nonetheless a Spongebob reaction is always a thumbs up in my book👍
For what it's worth guys, now you're literally just broadcasting parts of the episode, sometimes with your voice over it and sometimes with cuts to your faces. It's not even blurred or covered. That's a tough sell for "fair use".
It’s actually not. This style actually falls within fair use way more than our older style and we’ve had significantly less copyright issues since the change.
That being said we have taken feedback from this video already and added our cameras to all moments where the show is exclusively being shown 😁

And we don’t see as “dying on a hill” we’re taking feedback from the community that just isn’t “I hate this.” The previous form of editing had a lot of pushback initially and then it evolved into what it was. We’re expecting this to do the same. This style isn’t a final version, just another step we want to go.
You know Squidward could’ve just ordered a regular Krabby Patty after the Triple Krabby Supreme. SpongeBob wouldn’t have cared as much to give that to a customer himself. Can’t imagine why characters only try ideas once.

Are these new edits because of copyright? I liked the old group reaction showing everyone and not having so many jump cuts.
The new editing style has pros and cons. The old style used to be more personal and entertaining with little post production effort put into it in terms of cuts and other altering of the footage. This old style really shined because there were 3-4 people and it was really fun to watch something alongside someone who is human. The new style will for sure get more attention and bring new folks to the channel for sure but I think the charm of the old way is kinda losing its.. well... charm.
It’s kinda upsetting to be honest. At least we have their old series they finished to rewatch I suppose.

I like the old editing more, it was simple and perfect, 2:59 is a perfect example on what the new editing should look like
I feel like this new format is better suited for the longer content like movies that are a bit slower paced, rather than cartoon episodes where it's 15-30 minutes (counting commercials) where the interesting/reaction-worthy content is a bit more... hectic, I guess, cutting to reactions and taking all focus out of the show.
The old format feels like chilling in front of the tv and hanging out. And ngl, I barely registered the format change for Lilo & Stitch or the Lucario movie. But here it just feels too fast-paced and brought my overall experience/enjoyment down. And yeah, obviously that's my opinion about my enjoyment and y'all gotta do what you gotta do to boost the numbers and move the channel forward, just giving some feedback
Tl;dr: I feel this style of editing is definitely better suited for movies, the old style for cartoons

Eh, sorta like the old style. I like seeing you guy's reaction, AS it happens on screen and not a second or two later, especially on like long series reactions; like Spongebob, or a series with deep lore and storytelling like Avatar; TLAB or Any movies. I'd get it if to also avoid copyright strikes, but if none was given before then I see no reason to fix what wasn't broken. lol
Any specific complaints I see are answered by a non specific response like “statistics show” and “less then 2%” I feel like people want a specific response that isn’t “trust us you will grow to like it. Oh and most of the people who don’t like it are less then 2%” little peeve though. Nothing big

Personally I will say I’m more of a fan of the old editing style. There’s just something about seeing everyone’s faces react to the same moment at the same time that I personally like. Not trying to shit on the new editing style because I know it took a lot more work to edit. Maybe there’s a way to combine the old with the new. Either way, I’ll keep watching. My brain hates this short attention span style editing
Guys no offense, but all the cutting around really takes me out of the reaction and the experience. I preferred the much simpler editing style just cause it felt more casual. I like being able to see all 4 of your faces, as well as what you're allowed to show of the program without getting copy striked, all at the same time rather than cutting back and forth between each of you individually and the show itself. I understand the desire to want to grow and expand, but something as simple as a reaction video, I think, is better received when kept casual.

Being able to see people's reactions at the same time as the show, I highly prefer that way, since I am sure people watch these for the reactions, and when you constantly cut away from faces and the show, it's harder to follow along.
I know you guys listen, so that's just my two cents.
And how are the full reactions strung together on the Patreon? If they're still the same as before, the way people generally enjoy the reactions (show & faces at the same time) then that is behind a paywall, and you Could get more Patreons by stringing people along with that fact, but that doesn't seem like a healthy way to get new members.
I'd drop 5 bucks just to watch the old way.

I don't know about your other viewers, but when I watch a reaction video, I do it to see how other people REACT to the show/music/game etc. I'm not here to expierence the thing for the first time, in fact in most cases, I'm already well acquainted with it, have a strong opinion about it, and just want to watch other people's reactions/thoughts/analysis. This new editing format ain't it for me.

If I remeber correctly, there is a scene that was removed after the episode's first airing in "Just One Bite" in which the Krusty Krab's security system dropped gasoline and a match on Squidward causing an explosion. I think that the episode aired really close to "9/11" and that might have caused the change.
From what I heard, 9/11 was one of the reasons that scene was pulled, but the more significant reason is because Nickelodeon ultimately decided they didn’t approve of a joke involving gas and a lit match. The scene has been retained in Canada though, but not on streaming services, just on public broadcast.
I don’t want this to come off as mean but I think this is the first time I couldn’t finish a SpongeBob reaction of you guys…..the new editing just isn’t fun to watch. It’s too flashy and distracting while the old style made me feel like i was watching it with you guys which is what made it so fun. It was nice while it lasted but im gonna have to unfollow. One of my favorite channels to go to for reactions but there's no reactions anymore it feels like. Its episode, meme edit, episode, awkward zoom on to one person that lingers a half second too long, episode, meme, repeat. There's no discussion there's no insight. It begins and plays through and ends and it feels like it was rushed together as meme compilation with an occasional "😯" cut in between. Doesn't feel fun or personal anymore, just like any typical reaction channel now.
I think you guys have fun insights but I enjoy reaction channels for reactions; all the extra editing distracts from what you guys are saying/doing. I do wish you guys the absolute best of luck though, as you all seem like really fun people!

I think there is a middle ground to be found with the new editing style. It doesn't have to change back to the old style and can keep the snappy edits with memes but I feel like there are some parts here where we hear the reaction but don't see it which is not really the best way to handle this. I agree and we’re absolutely taking constructive criticism like yours into account and looking for a solid middle ground. Finding a way to have us all on screen more could help with that 😁

Yeah personally cant stand the new editing style but its their channel. Its been fun and hope the best for them but its just not for me.

i love the effort put into this new style, but i much prefer the old style where i can see everyone at once, cus even if one of you guys are talking or reacting usually one or all of the 4 makes a face in light of that and i rewind back from time to time to see and take in everyones reaction to the same thing lol.

Its sad how accurate that ending with Mrs. Puff blaming Spongebob is. I remember when I stood up to some kids at school that would mess with me in class and I ended up getting in trouble 🙄
I prefer the old editing. I came here for your reactions. If I wanted to just watch this without seeing your reactions I would. But the new editing isn't necessarily bad, but I prefer the old editing style. 🤷🏻♀️

Old editing style is better. This cuts back and forth way too much. Better to stick with the simple format of there being the faces, the video, and not a bunch of jumping around with the camera. I've been watching you guys for a while, love your vids. But the vast majority of comments aren't a fan of this editing style. It's better to listen to the actual voice of the community rather than listen to the analytics and numbers.

I guess i will continue to watch your videos, and i understand that y'all like this type of videos way more than the older format, but this REALLY changes the vibes, in a "bad" way. If i was watching a reaction of one singular person, it would be quite ok to do it like that, but when is three or four people watching something, it's just not that cool, like, when there is an especific scene where more than one of you get a cool reaction, i wouldn't want to see "the best reaction" out of y'all, i would like to see all of you, it's way more fun, easy to watch, and the vibes are straight up good.
I know that changes like this have to stay for a long time, to fully understand "what is the best option", but i most certain that the old format is still going to be "the winner". Yesterday I watched y'all reaction to the Lucario movie, and while I do enjoy to actually hear the movie more easily now, and actually inderstand what is happening in a movie that i never watched before, I would still like to see y'all reacting to it at the same time, because that is what makes a "multiple people reacting to something" a special thing, like, these are fun videos, with fun people, reacting at something at the same time, and this new format just breaks most of the things that i was enjoying so much about the other videos. Of course, if I could, Patreon was my obvious choice for watching your content, but I just can't. So, if I have to watch it here on UA-cam, it would still just be better with the older format, but I am not gonna stop watching these videos, it's just not gonna be as fun as it was. Only the time will tell how it's going to be in the future, so i guess the only option that i have is to wait and see if it's going to stay like this, or if it will go back to normal...
The reason I prefer the old editing is that this feels very disorienting to watch, it will keep throwing me for a loop when the screen just changes

I don't have problem with you showing your faces, I mean, that's the point of a reaction; however, i liked better the old sytle because you showed your faces and the reaction. Now, you cut the reaction with your faces, and your faces are cut by the reaction. That kind of style at least for me is not worth it.

Just One Bite and The Bully are among my favorite S3 titles! I’d always come back to those episodes when I want a good laugh.
So watched this on an alt account. This format does not fit your channel at all and was the very reason I had been watching you all in the first place. I have seen this very format completely ruin several reaction videos, especially during emotional or comedic scenes where seeing everyone's reaction at the same time is important.
There is a reason I left spilling the milk and moved over to your channel. You had a better layout and the editing was much smoother and complimented the shows you watched. This editing completely killed all sense of rhythm you normally have with Spongebob, and legitimately made one of my favorite episodes unfun to watch you all react to.
I won't be asking you to change it. I wish you all luck with the growth of your channel. Stay awesome.

I think I get what you’re going for with the change and I think it may be a slight overcorrection. You want to have the bigger reactions to certain jokes *pop* more, right? It’s not a bad idea but I think it comes at the cost of the smaller reactions that personally helped make the videos more relatable for me. Why not a mix? Have all faces on screen at all times in smaller windows but have the screens with the bigger reactions enlarge in the center? Really there’s gotta be a way to achieve what you want with this change while letting us see all the reactors at once…
Fun fact: Just One Bite had a deleted scene where before Squid enters the Krusty Krab, there’s a bucket of gas on top of the front door and some unexplained robot arm drops a match, lighting Squid on fire… twice
I’m getting use to the new formatting since Lilo and Stitch, but will be missing the old one. Just seeing all four together is like sitting across from you guys, sitting on a couch and just hanging out side by side
I actually didn't notice it in Lilo and Stitch lol But it's more obvious here. I hope they do a poll every few months to get some feedback. Opinions could change over time
