Seriously, I used to be scared of the gorilla in “I Had An Accident” when I was a kid. But when I look back at the gorilla as an adult, it looks freaking ridiculous. 😅

Watching these makes me realize that, despite being billed as a main character, Sandy doesn't actually show up all that often, compared to the others. I think they use Ms. Puff more than they do her.

"Benjamin Blümchen" (or Benjamin the Elephant) is a real character in the same named children cartoon/animated tv show. Benjamin's voice actor, Jürgen Kluckert, is the same voice actor for Mr. Krabs in Spongebob. So this scene is a meta reference, where it references the other work of Mr. Krabs voice actor. It's so cool :D

There are of course those deleted scenes from the episodes Just One Bite and Procrastination that some people have vague memories of and that's because they got edited way back in the early 2000s and not over a decade later in the late 2010s lol

"I had a accident" is definitely one of my favorite episodes just for the gorilla scene alone. Seeing him beat up Patrick and Sandy in the background just make it hilarious to me. As well as SpongeBob pulling a Erik at the end questing why is there a gorilla underwater then him running away on the horse... Just pure wtf energy and I love it.
I like it because of the interactions between Patrick and Sandy. Squidward is the usual go to straight man and he’s pretty effective at it but it’s nice to see Patrick thoroughly annoying someone whose attitude doesn’t default to grouchy

For the record, in the last episode, the horse was a "Leopard Spotted Horse" also known as "Appaloosa"
Ahh, that takes me back to sixth grade history class when we listened to the folk song "Heart of the Appaloosa" frequently. Beautiful song honestly.

Fun Fact: Krabs obviously uses "Flowers" as a name because that's just the first thing he spotted. However the German Dub used a coincidential opportunity to put in a little reference:
Krab's German voice actor also happens to voice the german kids show character Benjamin Blümchen and since "Blümchen" means flower (technically it's more like cute or little flower) Krabs tells the Flying Dutchman that his name is Benjamin Blümchen while briefly switching to the voice of that character (just while speaking the name).
It's one of my personal favourite references since it exists through sheer luck (i believe Benjamin Blümchen is not particularly known imternationally).
Also do i remember it right but were the Gorilla and the Zebra voiced by Patchy and his Parrot in the german dub?

It's not hard to see why "Mid-Life Crustacean" was banned. But to be honest, I don't think it should've been. They've implied a lot worse through subtext, afterall. Plus, Mr. Krabs does get his comeuppance in the end.. It's also just one if the most hilarious SpongeBob episodes ever. "Are you feeling it now, Mr. Krabs?" Gets me everytime.

It is hard to see why it was banned because the pantry raid was actual thing that people used to do but it was harmless cause all they did was steal her underwear. It was weird, but it was a real thing and if that was the worst that somebody did back in those days. Trust me that has nothing compared to anything that you think that could imply .

Listen, I think most of us can understand why “Mid-Life Crustacean” got banned, but it’s still odd considering how much SpongeBob has gotten away with, both in subtext and in explicit scenes.

I remember hating the snail race episode. Really didn't like how mean Spongebob was to Gary and how he almost died because of it. That image of him blowing up and skitting around haunted me D: The "Mid-Life Crustacean" one was never banned where I lived, so I regularly saw these two. "I'm ready to par-tey, are you ready to par-tey?" and "Are you feeling it now Mr. Krabs?" are often used memes in my friend group :D

I read somewhere that said that the gorilla thing happened because the writers didn't know how to end the episode, but not sure how accurate that is.

I like Mid-Life Crustacean because it makes Mr. Krabs less one-dimensional. There’s not a single line or joke about him being greedy or his love of money. The whole runtime is committed to his midlife crisis. It’s a side of Mr. Krabs we don’t see often.

I've seen that banned episode it was aired on Nickelodeon and I think it was there still about 20 times or more but I'm glad that banned episode is still available online (but not on paramount plus or any official application with online service)

I have to say for born again krabs I was surprised to finally understand that all this time Mr. Krabs actually thought he was just dreaming 😴 he met the flying Dutchman and he asked him to spare his life, knowing that he won’t be cheap and then comes back to his restaurant to tell his boys he’s making a change and then they find out from all this joy he actually was still cheap to think that it actually happened but he didn’t think it happened. Dang that character is an idiot.
I knew the ending of "I Had an Accident" would break SeeOhKnee's brain specifically.
Aw man, I wanted to see their reactions when SpongeBob is falling and Patrick tells him to ‘fall on his OTHER bottom’ and Sandy asks him “Don’t you have to be stupid somewhere else?” and he replies with “Not until four”, but the end where they’re debating about the horse/zebra/cow/whatever had me cracking up.

I always enjoy the moment in “Born Again Krabs,” when that old, rotten patty starts growling and Mr. Krabs proceeds to scold it like it was a dog, lol! That scene is honestly my favorite part of the whole episode.😄

One of my favorite S3 episodes (“I Had an Accident”)! It has its moments of absurdity and humor, most notably when the gorilla and horse come into play. I like how SpongeBob rightfully calls out on that logic and it makes me laugh every time, including the looks on the audience watching the episode on their tv, which is kind of a reflection of how the general audience reacts.😄

You guys should react to Alex Bales theory videos when you catch up/finish the show. He goes over things like why the fish can talk, what the krabby patty is made of, and how mr krabs got his daughter. The amount of time and detail this man put into finding the theories and evidence is crazy. Only problem being the theories could spoil future episodes.

I was a kid in the 90's and I'm just going to say, panty raids were a COMMON thing to do during summer camp. It was literally like a right of passage. That and skinny dipping. So it's pretty funny the episode got banned for something a lot of kids were already doing.
But I can understand it for the kids five or younger who would only learn that through the episode.

After watching the movie, I’d recommend two things: one is Food Theory’s video on the Krusty Krab recipe (and I specified Food Theory because they made a Film Theory one and it’s much older), and I’d also recommend Alex Bale’s SpongeBob Theories, as they’re really popular and pretty entertaining

When i first watched this episode when i was a kid and i couldn't help it but to compare the way that SpongeBob treated Gary and the way Patrick tretated his rock, While SpongeBob was yelling at Gary to hurry up, Patrick was telling the Stone that it was okay, that she could take as long as she needed to move
And from that time on, everytime i lost my patience with one of my pets, I thought "if Patrick can be patient with a rock, I can be patient with this dog"

It was interesting to know that “Mid-Life Crustacean” lasted so long without getting flagged for that one “pantie raid” scene and then recently banned for that reason. I mean, I can understand why, since it would be considered an imitate-able act for younger audiences, but I’m just surprised that this was overlooked or allowed to be green lit in the first place.
For the longest time I assumed the Dr was freaking out because Mr Krabs had an incurable contagious disease but I recently realized it’s because he’s technically supposed to be dead which is why the Flying Dutchman shows up to collect his soul meaning the Dr thought he was talking to a Zombie.
This is too funny. I can't wait for the movie! And I hope you guys continue to get your reaction on the show after the movie
