THE COACH
Patrick
Well, I was sure that the more you accelerate the better return you will make...Probably that's why a lot of balls were out.. Thanks again! Gonna use this tip too!
Out goes not because of acceleration mostly it goes because of wrong swings
I explain my students same a bit differently by telling them about universal rule of power distribution :
"80 percent of energy should be delivered on the last 20% of the racquet path toward the ball contact point".
A bit complex, but once elaborated it would be pure treasure - this rule is applicable to every tennis shot.
Also, this is the secret of Fed's elegance.
explain this in 3rd grade terms lol
@@astrelixx3857 Ok. Start your swing slow, like you rolling your car when red light is about to change to green. Once it is green, begin to plunge your foot into accelerator leaving final half of plunge when your care\ reaches about 40km/hours.
This would prevent wheels from spinnging and loss of energy.
Same with tennis shot. Missing pre-green rollout and full plunge at once would make poor acceleration.
True, true

Basically don't waste all ur energy on bringing the racket backwards, put 80% of ur energy on the ball, the moment it comes into contact with ur racket
This is kind of like the golf swing
Hi
I m from India. Love to play tennis and improve.
Can you please tell me a normal fitness routine
Like what should i do per day in week to improve my fitness
Hard on hard is cool , but dumb.
Soft on hard is smart but difficult.
If you are through - it's next level.
What a spectacular teacher. Some find a calling. He has.
Follow through action big ups to Mr Francis frimpong 💪✊💯✅😍🤩🥰👍♥️♥️♥️♥️❤️🔥❤️🔥🙌🙏🔥🔥🔥🔥
who?
I can't stop learning from you Coach Patrick..... Thanks for all the Tennis Tip's 🙏🏼🙏🏼
Best content on youtube best teacher and coach in any sport , the way you explain it 🐐🐐
I watched many returns from the pro and they 'catch' as if hitting a volley when returning a heavy, fast serve.
Please show us in concrete. It's just words and some gestures 😢
This girl is 🔥
I have heavy balls
try only to touch the ball...and then aceleration the follow thru
Super explanation ❤
I am starting tomorrow to play tennis for the first time hope I do good
Patrick is one of the best coaches ever
But, its a rotational rather than a horizontal swing, no? Plus ball is in contact for 0.25 ms only.
Correct, it’s an old methodology to put weight so forwards through every shot, the power is up and rotational, yes weight is on balls of feet but what he’s saying here really only applies to a neutral/closed stance
Kinda obvious no? Shouldn’t a normal human being be able to figure it out if his balls fly around when swinging wildly for a fast incoming ball?
If as the ball comes at you fast you don't swing back to prepare, the momentum of the ball will overwhelm you. You'll either fail completely to return the ball or you'll respond with a very weak ball that will cost you the point at the next exchange.
Au top Patrick, bravooooooooo
Shorten your backswing when you have less time and you'll stay on the ball longer !
Super explanation
Excellent coach
Same can i apply on playing fast cricket ball ,Sir 😂✅
But the good and long preparation Is more full of style ,🤔 It xould be less of Speed but it Is more Amazing
“Short… go with it?” Lol 😆
What does that actually mean?
Basically all my students take huge swings n dont absorb the power of the incoming ball!!!
I think Coco’s preparation for her forehand is too long, she may need this…..
Thanks!
The key word is block not hit.
but where does one get time to extend the racquet far behind to generate power
Power comes from a power of incoming ball. You just direct it.
와우great
Just use the pace of the ball, it's like returning a fast flat serve.
FORGET that huge BACKSWING!
Thank you sir 🙏, thank you universe 🙏 Krishna 🙏
My issue. My backswing is too big
“Short go with it” Short go with it” “Short go with it”. What does that even mean?🙄🙄🙄
Short pulling back if the arm
Go with it: follow the ball after hitting it
Good tip
Medvedev loves it ;)
Beautiful tip Coach!! 🎉
Blind leading the blind!!
but with what grip?
Would I use the semi western grip for these fast balls? Would I have time to?
Use the same grip you'd normally use for forehand or backhand
8500 advice
Thanks
Ai ai ai, he’s coach to perfection! 🥰
Gracias
Clown
😂😂
short and sweet tips!
Surely he smashes his clients fast
First good advice i see you give . Falls closely with MTM but instead of walking forward pull the raquet back at contact
yep im sure you know more than a grand slam champion's coach
@@impresssed1213 no , but i learned and got certified by someone that was "Oscar Wegner" look him up
So true. Thanks so much
Amazing ..on point
"Accerlerate quickly through the ball" is what he means by "go with it."
No, he means 'make sure you transfer your weight through the ball and keep going forward after you hit'...
Nice bod
