    Well, I was sure that the more you accelerate the better return you will make...Probably that's why a lot of balls were out.. Thanks again! Gonna use this tip too!

      Out goes not because of acceleration mostly it goes because of wrong swings

    I explain my students same a bit differently by telling them about universal rule of power distribution :
    "80 percent of energy should be delivered on the last 20% of the racquet path toward the ball contact point".
    A bit complex, but once elaborated it would be pure treasure - this rule is applicable to every tennis shot.
    Also, this is the secret of Fed's elegance.

      @@astrelixx3857 Ok. Start your swing slow, like you rolling your car when red light is about to change to green. Once it is green, begin to plunge your foot into accelerator leaving final half of plunge when your care\ reaches about 40km/hours.
      This would prevent wheels from spinnging and loss of energy.
      Same with tennis shot. Missing pre-green rollout and full plunge at once would make poor acceleration.

      Basically don't waste all ur energy on bringing the racket backwards, put 80% of ur energy on the ball, the moment it comes into contact with ur racket

    But, its a rotational rather than a horizontal swing, no? Plus ball is in contact for 0.25 ms only.

    • @TheTennisDaddy
      @TheTennisDaddy 6 місяців тому

      Correct, it’s an old methodology to put weight so forwards through every shot, the power is up and rotational, yes weight is on balls of feet but what he’s saying here really only applies to a neutral/closed stance

  • @bartholomewlyons

    Kinda obvious no? Shouldn’t a normal human being be able to figure it out if his balls fly around when swinging wildly for a fast incoming ball?

  • @gdevelek
    @gdevelek Рік тому

    If as the ball comes at you fast you don't swing back to prepare, the momentum of the ball will overwhelm you. You'll either fail completely to return the ball or you'll respond with a very weak ball that will cost you the point at the next exchange.
