Awesome James , your videos were always inspiring. And they still are . Best of luck in your future endeavors. Hope the family is doing well . Rock on brother
Love Ya Merrick, keep doin you! Love the videos and the knowledge you have shared with anyone! Always looking at your products for goodies on my '86 K5!
I’ve always liked your content man, and have been inspired by what you do in terms of the direction I want to take my two squarebody trucks I have. You are a great teacher and are always entertaining, and I def look forward to what you pull together for content as your channel evolves and continues to grow along with your shop. You are proof Mr Merrick that when you immerse yourself in your passion great things happen.
What has kept me interested in this channel has always been the Jimmy/Blazer builds but also seeing them/yours being used offroad as I have 3 of them (2 on the road and one in the waiting for a full rebuild) plus a couple of square pick ups of which one is in the process of being put together and the other is on the road ....plus a couple other older GM rides. It is these old school rides that keeps me engaged vs the new crap that the manufactures build today at stupid $$$$$, of which can build one kick ass older rig and have money left to play with it.
bro. Thats exactly what I did. It really is that simple. Just commitment and dedication to producing content is the only secret. The trick is to come up with an idea of who you are talking to, and just speak to that one imaginary person. Makes it easier.
@@MerricksGarage I haven’t posted on UA-cam for a few years, but have hundreds of hours sitting on the hard drives! Making videos is a ton of work. I always like your videos in advance - before I watch them, knowing they’re gonna be informative and entertaining. Keep going!
I have a GMT800 Suburban and have been watching you for years now. Really think of doing a SAS possibly one day. Good friend of mine makes Corvette parts and also has a GMT800 Tahoe and a killer H2 with a LBZ Duramax swap. We are in Vegas and love getting out snd exploring. Keep up the good work buddy.
Dude we love you and your work and are happy for your success. If i had the money i would stuff my 88 blazer in a container and ship it from germany to your garage. You harvesting the fruit of your labour is well deserved and i am very happy to see you growing.keep on doing what you do but don't pressure yourself-we want to enjoy your vids for many more years :)
James, you are Awesome 🤙Thanks for letting us know that your business is thriving, l miss you and the projects, one hour plus, looking forward to much needed builds, driving mine, lots left to do, lockers, bumpers... Such great news. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you and Yours. 🎅 ⛄️ ✌🏻 ❤️ 🇨🇦.
You’re awesome man. Keep Up all the good work. I love taking my kids up in my k5 and they absolutely love it. Everyone needs To experience a lifestyle like This. On my Channel Blazin Biddles my family And I Just go explore Ohv trails all Over Northern California. K5.
Documenting the builds will likely build your business even more. Congratulations to the growth, and survivability with the moves. I know your work has encouraged me to do more on my trucks. And post Covid shop costs. 😂
Thanks man. Stoked to hear you are building too! That is the plan, to have a full build video series on each truck as they come through. It’s now a matter of finding the right person.
I've always enjoyed your content and i ended up with the Blazurban i shared with you a few years back. A suburban with a k5 backhalf. Keep doing what you're doing!
Great video, I’m a Blazer guy too but, I think we just like you. You could be making content about almost anything and I’d watch every video. Love to hear the business is picking up, you deserve it.
wow....my 87 GMC Jimmy is dead in the driveway and has been sitting for 10 plus years but I cant get rid of it. Congrats on your biz progression. I hope you can get back to producing content too. And yeah....would love to see a dedicated build series for a reasonable blazer for camping,, hunting, fishing, family outings etc. Id love to bring mine back from the dead but not sure how to go about it.
Hey brother! Thanks for the great work. Keep on trucking. Question for you I am putting 09 GMC full adjustment and heated seats into my 74 jimmy. Do you have a recommendation for wiring the chair? I would love to see a video on that. Thanks brother😊
Sounds like the business is at a very critical transition point. You’re making the right choice to mind the shop first and work in new YT content when it makes sense. Those who haven’t started a business before may not get it, but don’t stress that. UA-cam makes more money as a sales driver for stuff like this. Maybe you can do something like Dave’s Engines at some point, once you have the staff to help produce content. Videos and content on the peripheral of a very active and thriving business. Your time is better spent making sure the business continues to build into the organization you’ve dreamed of.
@ it’s an adventure to be sure. I’ve started a few and my first company, a custom furniture and cabinetry business failed because even thought I was a very skilled craftsman, I didn’t put the effort I should have into the business side of things - bookkeeping, advertising, employee management, establishing efficient processes, logistics, etc. it’s a ton of work and a big learning curve. My subsequent businesses did much better with more focus put in the right places. We’ll be rooting for you.
I’ve had his diff covers floating around on a lot of my builds over the years. The one on the red blazer came with the axles. I believe the customer has had it for a while too. They are great covers!
Currently have a 90 Blazer with 350 TBI and an nv3500 swap with 4:56 gears 33 inch tires and it's fun as shit but now I'm trying to get a big block Chevy with an nv4500 so I can have some real fun, I blame it on guys like you being a terrible influence😁🤣
Congratulations you must take advantage of this opportunity film . Have a single film crew person when you can . Build from there. This will take your Buisness to the next level. It has till now. UA-cam very powerful stuff.
Thank you for the inspiration I need it My wife is behind me I'm a chassis builder have my first build on my table it's close to being done I have an LLC and in 2025 I'm going for it thank you for the push 🇺🇸😎💪
Hey James, maybe you could get a student from brooks film institute by the mission to do your videos for you. Could be beneficial for both where you free up some time and a young videographer gets some experience. You’re doing great dude!
Love your passion. FYI. Some of your vocabulary may be too sophisticated for the blue collar audience. May need to have content with a grammar lesson. 😂
Don't apologize James, this is awesome news that your business is thriving and you have a opportunity to make a successful career out of your passion!
Yea it’s pretty rad. What I really wanna document is the building of a business now! I do really feel like I’m living the dream!
Glad everything is working out James. Don't forget the most important thing no matter what, your family.
Thank you couldn’t have got a lot done without you videos much respect
I had a good time watching you build your Blazer! I even have one of your seat mounts in my 73. Congrats on the new endeavors!
I've loved watching your channel. Thank you for all the years of putting out videos. Looking forward to what's coming.
Thanks for watching!

This motivates me to start my channel for my cars. Just feel weird recording myself doing stuff and talking to a camera lol

Love your channel, bringing someone in to film daily videos would probably grow your channel tenfold and pay for itself. Good luck! 🤘🏻
I truly believe it will too. Appreciate the support! looks like you have some experience with this! killer channel yourself!!
We’re so happy you are taking off building these trucks! Do videos when you can!!
Thanks! I'm still shooting videos, just doing it a little differently.

I’m glad you are enjoying the content, I have to balance the two, but there’s a lot more to come on the build side.
You need to get someone in there to film And Edit YT videos everyday. Just watching the progress of a single build is what we want to see.
Great Content Always!📸 making some killer builds!! Can’t wait for more James😎
I'm glad you like the content!
Beautiful red blazer! 👍🏼
It really is stunning.
Amen Brother 💯 🇺🇲🤘 Has it really been 10 years already!?! Looking at start working on our 85 k5 Blazer with 6.0L again soon
It’s crazy how time flies!
Yo, keep on building bad-ass rigs! We support you on or off the screen...
I can't wait to ask you to build my suburban overland rig!

I think Zach’s build will be a great example for you. I know he is currently dealing with a rusted floor.
Take a day off don't get burned out I like the viewers build that will be a good watch I always liked the readers rides in peterson's 4wd

Not sure, I need to research this more. I have played with a little bit but not enough

Great job brother, I’ve been looking for your trucks at the C10 Slowdown. Are you going to the next one?
Not sure yet. But I would like to
Awesome man love your channel
Thanks, I appreciate it!
Please watch your cash flow. I've had friends lose everything in similar ventures. Sometimes those long-running builds will eat you alive.
How did you aquire that diy4x diff cover? He doesn't make them anymore and I missed out 😭😭😭😭

Hey if a guy needs a Dana 60 kingpin front and a rear Dana 70 I have one.
hmm, Im always looking for kingpin fronts.
Hire one of your kids to film cuatomer builds😂
Love your passion.
