Excellent video and review ! Although I mostly shoot .177 pellet, I'm sure the Umarex Glock17 gen 5 pellet version is just as good as you describe in the airsoft version . I have the gen4 (very good pistol as well, but BB), and the Glock 19 gen 3 non blow back, also very good. I will purchase the 17 gen 5 (pellet) based on your opinion. Umarex makes great products ! Thanks for video, new subscriber here !
Thank you🙌🏻🙌🏻 I do agree Umarex have great guns, I do also have an old walther ppq from Umarex and the quality is also top notch, thus I believe you should be happy with the pellet version 🙌🏻.
Thank you for this. Longtime use reviews are so rare. It's one thing for a replica to shoot nice out of the box, but it's a completely different conversation whether it will last. Best wishes from Poland!
I own the vfc glock gen5 as well, i would say their polymer lower are great and durable, however, although the slide and outer barrel are made of aluminium, their aluminium were cheap and soft (Maybe they are pure aluminium but not alloy) Also i would say that the hop up is not good enough as the hop isn't consistent enough Additionally the gen5 paint job Didn't do well, paint are easily come off and the slide scratch easily dur to soft aluminium Maybe i will paint my glock and changing the hop up in the future The advantage of this gun is the feel of holding it, light weight and air seal
I don’t have any issue with the hop up. It is very consistent, but i did put maple leaf rubber there. It could be the rubber that holds it. Not sure what the slide is made of, I do like it whatever material it is.
Hi Dear, I appreciate you are doing good job to giving complete reviews. Please suggest which one the best Airpistol for long time playing and don't require any replacement of parts for long time. Thanks
This is by far the best review of this gun! I got a question for you: does the slide and barrel rattle? I have the canik tp9 and it rattles a bit and i know you have it too. So how does the quality compare with the umarex?
Hi and Thanks! So, for the "rattle" the Canik is the worst. There is a lot of movement on the barrel and the result is that. For the glock, there is of course some, but lot less and would say the sound of it is better, more deep would say. Like almost every airsoft pistol with non fixed barrel, unfortunately. For the quality, the picture is the same, Glock wins all the time, the polymer on it is fantastic, where the canik's frame looks and fills a little more plastic (not bad, but the glock is superior). The things gets even worse for canik if you take a look internally, the casting of the metal parts in the canik is disaster, It looks like it was disabled as a gun by mistake ("sorry to say it but..") Not point to mention the dramatic difference in performance and gas efficiency. If you are looking for a new GBB pistol, Glock 17 from Umarex will surprise you a lot :)
Nice review, I have a few of the VFC models as well, G17-5, G19-4 and G45, they all held up pretty good so far. The G45 does have more than 20k shots on it, and about 10k on the G19. Only weak points in my opinion are the flimsy springs, particularly the nozzle return spring and the trigger bar spring. Only parts that have failed for me so far. If they go, I would recommend getting the replacement from ProArms as they are a lot higher quality, made from actual spring steel, and getting parts or repair from Umarex takes a while. The finish is a lot better than it used to be in the old models, still I would recommend a holster that is lined on the inside to prevent the worst scratching, I run the Safariland Species IWB for the G45 and G19 which has a nice soft leather lining inside. I've just ordered one of the FrontLine OWB kydex holsters with the cordura inner lining for the G17, will see how that one does. Edit: The FrontLine KNG did not work at all for me, it is extremely tight and even with the retention screws completely removed you really have to force the pistol in.
Thanks for the update, i do also look for some new holsters but as I have 10 different pistols I do want smth universal so i do not need to manage one bag of holsters.
@@airsoftsharks Yes, that is my issue as well, at the moment I'm thinking one holster per platform. I'm frequently running drills with a couple of different pistols in one session, and it is a major pain to change holsters all the time while doing that. For the VFC Glocks, I've settled on the Raven OWB holster from Black Trident, it is a bit expensive but it does have open muzzle design and the G19 Gen5 model does work with the G17 and the G45 as well, and even though it is a Gen5 model it does work perfectly fine with Gen4. I'm using it with the G19 Gen4, G17 Gen5, and two G45s, one with stock slide and one with the Boomarms MOS slide. It does not have a soft lining, but the Kydex is very smooth and even with hundreds of draws I don't see any wear on the finish yet.
@@vgspotting5331 I don't have the GBB 19X, but it is essentially the same pistol as the G45. I do prefer the G45 over the G17, being a little bit shorter I feel the handling is better, though you'll get a bit more precision out of the G17 due to longer barrel and distance between sights. Both are great pistols though, can't really go wrong, and as stated the G19X is basically just a G45 without front serrations and different color. The 19X doesn't take G17/G45 magazines though, so if the color isn't important I'd go with the G45 instead since you can use the same magazines if you later decide to get the G17 as well.
5, it is more modern internally (the airsoft parts), plus slightly improved design look and grip - I love that grip. But I bet 4 would be also pretty good, as long it is still Umarex/VFC.
Hi how are you? May tell me full name of this specific Umarex? Also, exact name and style of magazines say single fuel? Lastly, hop-up that adds 3+ meter range full name? Wish the best and thanks!

From cytac,Ii am not aware, I know there are other holsters especially concealed ones , I believe you can find a leather one or something. @@airsoftsharks I also have the steel version ghk glock 17 by umarex very well built and the finish is very durable higly reccomend if you dont mind spending 400 eur on a toy
The GHK Glock is definitely well built, and the finish really is excellent. Don't know for sure, but I've read somewhere that it is the same finish as the RS Gen 3, so in theory it should produce the most realistic wear patterns over time. Only thing I didn't like about it is the magazines, they are pretty much impossible to load with a specific amount of BBs and aren't sealed as good as the VFC ones from factory, so I ended up returning it. Great quality though and the internals are a lot more simple and sturdy, so should last forever if you take good care of it.

If you look closely you can see a plastic bb fall out of the barrel just as its being put back into the holster 😂.

Is it normal that when i insert the mag the slide release just goes forward
Are you asking for the button or for the slide itself?
If the notch on the slide is already a bit worn, or you slam in the mag with authority, it is normal that the slide goes forward.
For the CYTAC holster is there a softer material version where it won't scratch the paint of the gun?
