I just recently bought as used the Walther PPQ M2 blowback 21rd pellet pistol. Just awesome! No regrets. Just not that much into Glocks, and thus I'd leave this one on the store shelf..
Trigger break is tricky on the pellet version over the BB which is true single action at the trigger. However the bb's tend to wander off target more. The optic would help on this gun as the sights are not adjustable. Thanks for the video.
Great review Tyler, of a great Pistol, I know the Glocks are a bit Marmite, in my opinion Umarex made a brilliant job with all of the Glocks, this is by far the best, to be fair most Umarex products are top notch 👍
I have the airsoft umarex/vfc gen4 G17, it's just as good build quality as this and easier to load (can use airsoft speedloaders) no strange rubber beltfeed system that looks easy to break. also lock open on last shot unlike this. safer for indoor or backyard plinking/playing with the kids. I believe there is a mos version too if you want to mount an optic but the open sights are fine for us.
They do make the G17 Gen5 MOS as a steel BB version, essentially same airsoft type system as in your Gen4. It does ship with the adapter plates as well, unlike the pellet version where you have to buy them extra. As far as safety goes though, pellets are actually a lot safer for plinking, especially indoors. Half a Joule more or less energy does not make a lot of difference, the fact that steel BBs love to ricochet does though, and they do that with enough energy to take out an eye or a tooth. Honestly, for plinking I'd just get the airsoft version of the same pistol, they are way more accurate than the steel BB version and safer to use. A lot less expensive to use compared to the CO² capsules as well.
Just found your channel and subbed mate , HW97KT and Walther rotex owner among other rifles and on the pistol front , the Glock 17 gen 4 , Sig Sauer M17 and the H&K USP , look forward to your future content 👍
Thanks for the great review Tyler. Where can you purchase this online? I am only seeing a BB variety. Also I look forward to you showing off the MOS capabilities 😎
@@tvm-reviews unfortunately they don’t ship to US. I asked umarex when they would have these available in the US and they said “I just don’t know. I thought we would have some by now =(“ thanks anyways tvm-reviews!
I due to get this air pistol. Can you adjust the rear sight? Im switching from an 8 round rotary walther cp88, the only problem was a shortish trigger spring lifespan
Too many cons for it to be worth buying. Perhaps accuracy would be better with a harder pellet, such as H&N FTT, or Umarex own brand. Shame Umarex missed the mark with this one.
Damn, that complete lack of accuracy really killed all my enthusiasm about this pistol. Really wanted to buy one of these pellet "belters" for more precise "action" shooting than you get with a BBs, but this is even worse accuracy than my old and abused Umarex M92A1. Couple that with the nuisance of loading these belts, the very real chance to damage the pellets while loading and ruin your accuracy even further, no last shot slide hold open, much worse trigger, the choice of making the real barrel too long to hide for no real accuracy benefit and the 40€ premium that comes with it being a pellet pistol while having all these problems and you have to ask why would anyone ever buy this thing and what was Umarex thinking when they designed it.
wait, there's an MOS version?! darn. i just bought the regular one. Is the MOS available for purchase? Is CO2 enough power to blowback the added weight of an optic on the slide? It must slow it down.
Just got one for my son today for xmas to go with pcp rifle. 👍

Probably the same innards as the SA-10 and I get five 8-shot mags from that so same shot count. Same 'accuracy' too.....

Hi! Rear sight isn’t adjustable.
do you not need a license to get it all black no?
No licence but rules around it. The sale of realistic imitation firearms is now banned with one or two minor exceptions, mainly for historical re-enactment, museums and television/film/theatrical performances or as a recognized member of an airsoft site affiliated to the Association of British AirSoft. © Airgunforum.co.uk

Which is better the bb or pellet version ??
Hard decision. The action on the pellet is a little funky with the belt system. But I’d say pellet for overall performance
Can u get any attachments for this ?
You can and they are also licensed. I’ve just put a red dot on

most of these air gun bbs are just for plinking but the g19x is more accurate

There is! It came out recently along side the bb version. I’m yet to get the sights on but I’m pretty sure it’ll have some shot count impact
