    Nice video. I'm in the process of swapping my coolant hoses as well as part of a larger engine replacement project. Getting the hose onto the thermostat housing will not be easy. haha. I like how you've shown the paths that they all follow as well since I've had hoses removed for quite some time.

    Hose split tools from snap on they look like screwdrivers but have a point on the end. Much easier to get pipes off with no damage especially if you want to re use.

    Hi, thanks for the video, I am just about to do my own hoses, I have the kit from Stoney Racing, I ordered the spring clamp kit but am thinking I should have gone for the worm drive instead, with limited access in so many locations,"cèst la vie".

    For hose 6, if you could find some way of cutting through the retaining clip say with a dremel, do you think it would be possible to fit the new hose and clip without removing the intake manifold?

    • @andrewsparey697
      @andrewsparey697  2 роки тому +1

      Nope. Dremels are themselves bulky, and space is limited. I wasted a couple days dreaming up ways to avoid intake removal and i found it to be unavoidable

    • @OochPinnock
      @OochPinnock 2 роки тому

    Hello, me again - for hose 5 - does it have a metal insert so it can connect to hose 1? Mine doesn't appear to have one.

    • @andrewsparey697
      @andrewsparey697  2 роки тому +1

      I cant remember. One of the small ones off the engine does have a metal pipe inside to act as a connection. If none of your pipes have a metal connector, then it is missing

      Thanks Andrew, I've contacted stoney racing to ask if they can send the insert out.

    • @andrewsparey697
      @andrewsparey697  3 роки тому +1

      Definitely wait for red or blue. White does show up the road grime quickly. They do wipe clean with degreaser and a paper towel quickly but I would rather not have to !

      @stevepowell1938 3 роки тому

      @@andrewsparey697 my concern with the white was that they may end up an off white colour that won’t clean up. They are offering a discount on the white as they only have 3 sets left. I will check to see if they are planning on making more in the other colours, if not I’ll get the white.

    What were issues with regards to liquids in the pipes, are they all just cooling and air pipe's?

    • @andrewsparey697
      @andrewsparey697  3 роки тому

    Hello Andrew, I'm looking to buy a set of "Stoney racing" hoses for my R53 MINI and I'm curious as to the quality of the product. Do the hoses feel high quality? how was the fit during installation? have you developed any leeks or cracked hoses? any info. is appreciated.

    • @andrewsparey697
      @andrewsparey697  3 роки тому

      It took many hours, probably 15. If you throw away the hose trapped under the fuel tank and the hose trapped under the air intake manifold, that would cut the job by more than half. And i did not have a video guide. You could probably do 25/27 hoses with this video in 5-6 hours
