What a beautiful rainbow. They are the ones you would love to keep but a picture is second best. There is nothing like the feel of a rainbow jumping and then the sound of that reel whining as it makes a last ditch run. Caroline will remember this forever, especially the cold feet. AWESOME Series! My second trip accompanying you in Alaska. This time was much shorter but every bit as EPIC and packed with a lifetime of memories. Hard to pick a favorite between the sled dogs, plane ride, fishing, kayaking to the glacier, but I'd say the time at the mountain lake - Roosevelt Lake - would be top of my list... and you were right, "Some places, they just haven't made the words for it yet!" Indescribable beauty indeed! Thanks for your unforgettable narrating, camerawork, and storytelling. I watched it all in one sitting! Didn't want it to end... Can't wait till next time... Aspiring Overlander from Texas here….. as you are probably aware, we have little public land here in the state, so we have been just taking day trips and finding dirt roads and such. Yesterday, we (my boys and I) took a route that is well documented here on UA-cam that has a few stream crossings. My 10 yr old asked if we could stop and pick up cans and trash along the way….. SURE WE CAN! Got to thinking about it, I remember watching one of your videos with him where you cleaned up an old campsite that had the remains of an old tent. Just wanted you to know that you made a difference with my 10 yr old.

Spent most of my childhood summer vacations with the family Cessna 180, glad you had the chance to experience that for a short part of the adventure. I truly miss all the back country camping on that level.
This is one of your better trips but I have a soft spot for Alaska as I lived there for a year and a smidgen in Fairbanks as my husband was in the army. We sometimes call my youngest our Eskimo as he was born in Alaska. He's fifty now and doesn't mind it like he used to. We used to run our dogs on backroads and even got my boys to go sledding in the winter. Loved it there. Especially since our dogs were macaques. They really loved it there. You will miss it, I promise. You'll be back. It's in your blood.
I have always found fishing a therapeutic activity. Growing up in Rockport, on the South Texas Gulf Coast, I’ve done my fair share of fishing, mostly salt water Redfish and Speckled Trout. But the fishing you guys were doing here is much different than what I have done and those fish were beautiful. So much fun!
What what incredible memories for you guys! Really inspires us. We wanted to do an Alaska overland trip, but then 2020.. maybe someday. Really love the option to rent a rig from Alaska Overlanders! We did Ruth Glacier, out of Talkeetna. We loved it. Saw Moose Jaw peak and awesome blue lake divits along the way. You will lose perspective and think you will crash into the mountains. Then the pilot shows you where to land and th ed mountains go back out. Crazy!

I have been there for king's and that water is incredibly cold and hard on the feet when sitting in an aluminum boat for hours. It is an incredibly beautiful place. One of the places that I would move to if I had the chance.

Excellent video! I've been to Alaska three times. The last time I took a flight out of Talkeetna and landed on a glacier near Denali. It was the trip of a lifetime however, I lost my memory card! So, that means I'll have to do it again! I can't wait!

You guys should move up here. There is plenty of property for sale and you can enjoy Alaska all year! We took a couple trips up here and could not get enough, it was cheaper for us just to move up, so we did!!
