Arnold Palmer was the original badass on the PGA. Most people don’t know this but unlike Tiger and Jack Palmer didn’t play in all four majors until he was in his 30’s..If he played in more majors in his 20’s he would have won even more.
Excellent point James - thanks
One of the legends in golf. Amazing career he's shown for all to remember.

A true Legend in the game! Great man. As Jack said ,"an icon".
"An Icon"!!
What a legend Arnold is. Love learning more about his life and career.
Thanks for watching
Palmer was so so exciting to watch on the course. He was so bold. He never laid up. He loved golf intensely. You could feel golf was in his veins. He was the most popular golfer ever. No golfer comes close. Palmer dominated golf from about 1956 through 1970. He was so popular that when he played against Nicklaus, Nicklaus was booed often. Palmer was loved by millions of loyal fans. He is the 4th best golfer of all time !!!!
Thanks for your comments Blair ⛳️
Arnold was such a first-rate driver of the golf ball. His move through the impact zone is the best I’ve ever seen.
Appreciate it ⛳️
Arnie is an example of a stellar and famous athlete who can also be a nice person. He was immensely popular and had the most loyal fans. He also played outstanding golf. 5th most PGA victories. Another fine video from Golf Plus.
Thanks Todd!! ⛳️⛳️⛳️
Arnold Palmer is such a talented and great player. Loved to know about him!
THX
There have been a few better golfers, though not many, but there has never been a nicer, more important golfer than Arnold. After watching him in the early 60’s, I got into golf and it has been a lifetime love affair. We’ ll never see another golfer have such a large impact on the sport.
Thanks for your content, it's really fantastic, it's very good to be able to get the full potential of the app. I loved the video.

One of the greatest golfers. Thanks for this great review on his life
you're welcome
Palmer was one of the stars at a trick shot event at the BRR&C back around 2004; as everyone one in the crowd rushed to the Par 3, he stayed back on the Par 4 just finished; practicing putting. He looked up saw me and wave me to come over; he stuck out that big hand and shook mine with a Hello, what is your name. Wow, he was such a great personality.
That's really cool Cecil - gave me goosebumps. Arnie was the best ⛳️
Very interesting to learn more about the guy aside from his dominance as a golfer. Really do appreciate these videos, it's always fun to learn more about the athletes you admire!

I've been to the Arnold Palmer Invitational at Bay Hill a handful of times. Excellent tournament!!!
Love it Drew!!
He actually was at the university when it was still in Wake Forest, Nc. He played Paschal golf course close to the college.
Thanks William ⛳️
My husband Michael adored Palmer from the time he first heard about winning the US Open in 1960. He followed his career until the end and had the great fortune to have met him personally several times. A great icon and hero to him.
That is awesome Ursula - thanks for watching ⛳️
I think every golf fan should watch this to really learn about Arnold Palmer's career, one of the legends!

I had a chance to meet him,,,it was a great experience,,a class act
That's awesome Dan - you'll remember that forever ⛳️
@@golfplus_ l did a pencil sketch of Mr. Palmer a long time before we had a chance to meet. I never dreamed that l would have a chance to have it signed,,,but sign it he did, and he said, "l like that, l think you got it!"
Needless to say, the drawing is framed now and hanging in my living room...never for sale 🙂
Wake Forest University was in Wake Forest, NC when Palmer went there
Thanks ⛳️⛳️

What is your favorite thing about Arnold Palmer? ⬇️ COMMENT BELOW ⬇️
RIP Arnie🙏
Appreciate you watching
Arnold was a stud....fear of flying...I’ll become a pilot and fly myself....cool guy
Yes he was!! ⛳️⛳️⛳️
The PGA tour owes Arnie a huge debt for popularizing the sport to every day people who knew nothing about golf. He made it cool to root for a golfer and also attend a tournament. All pros today owe him a huge debt for the enormous purses they play for.
You got that right!!
Always knew Arnie was a great person.
He really was Steve - thanks for watching
What was his longest drive
I'm not sure Steven - let me know if you got that info.
LOve that man a real gentalman
He really was such a gentleman. Thanks Marie ⛳️
I never knew that he never won a grand slam nor did I know that he was pilot.
Pretty cool stuff Sonny - glad you liked it.
My bad. Strange was first to a million in one year.
Appreciate that David ⛳️
I have a feeling that he would not like LIV Golf.
uummmmm... I would agree with that!
That's crazy that he didn't win a major.
Palmer won seven major championships: Masters Tournament: 1958, 1960, 1962, 1964. U.S. Open: 1960. The Open Championship: 1961, 1962
Curtis Strange was first golfer to win $1,000,000 dollars. Do your research.
Thanks for your feedback David - appreciate you watching ⛳️
The narrator drove me crazy pronouncing the "L" in Palmer's name. It's silent, like in balm or psalm, calm or palm.
Thanks for the feedback Tom
in this video you say the Coast Guard is not a legitimate military force. you couldn't be more incorrect! The Coast Guard has served in every war we have had. infact they had more off their people in Vietnam,, percentage wise, than any other branch!
Thank you Frank
As a United States Air Force Veteran (1974 Ubon, Thailand) I find it unforgivable, that the Coast Guard never receives the credit they truly deserve!
As a Golf Professional, (40 years) Mr. Palmer was simply the best! His treatment of everyone, is most commendable!
Thanks Arnie for setting such a great example. 🇺🇸🏌️♂️⛳️👏👍🏻
The Coast Guard “not a legitimate military force” I bet a lot of Coasties would like to have a word with you. You might know about the history of Palmer and Golf (love both) but you need to brush up on your USCG history. Especially their service during WWII.
Ol
Thanks for watching Sam
Why spend a full minute or more explaining what your going to tell us in a short video instead of simply telling us what you want to say? My God - some videos spend half the alloted time getting to the point.
Appreciate you tuning in ⛳️ Thanks for the feedback.
This video told me NOTHING that isn't well known in the golf world. What a bunch of b.s.
Appreciate you tuning in Eddy ⛳️
Coast Guard not a legitimate military force? Ignorant statement. Coast Guard has participated in every war. See Douglas Munro and also who gave the flag for Mt. Suribachi. Viet Nam, Gulf war, and on and on. Do your homework please.
Thanks for the feedback
@@golfplus_ love the documentary but just a tad more care and diligence with background information would bring it up to its appropriate level of respect to Mr. Palmer.
