Whichever way you look at it, two Milan teams are in the top 4. Not the two Manchester teams, nor the two Madrid teams. That is something special and hopefully a turning point for Serie A teams in Europe to get back to the glory days of the 80s and 90s
I'm Milanisti, but to be fair, I won't deny that we (Milan and Inter) are in semis mainly because of the draws. But, after years of horrible draws, Serie A usually got Madrid, Liverpool, Bayern, Barca, it's time to get an easy draw right. Don't know why people seems to have problem to admit it.
This is just one year. I know both Milan teams are classic teams, both to be honest, this is not the comeback tour. In order for that to happen, they should be number 1 and 2 in Italy. I just dont believe that any team that is #4 in their own country, could be regularly in the UCL semifinals. I am not saying this about Milan teams, I mean also other countries. Just like would anybody think that next year will be a big year for RB Leipzig because they are 3rd in Bundesliga? Or ManUtd because they are 4th in England?
@GO YO at ro16, Milan and Inter got Spurs and Porto instead of Bayern, City, or Madrid, Napoli got Frankfurt instead of Dortmund or PSG. at QF, Inter got Benfica and Milan got Napoli instead of City, Madrid, Bayern and missed them again on the semis. No disrespect, but Of course it's the easiest draw.
Man this was the kind of European football I grew up watching. Nesta, Maldini, shevchenko, Pirlo, dida, seedorf, Rui Costa. Inter had some amazing players too Marrins, Adriano cordoba, veron and many other stars but Ancelotti's AC Milan were just so dominant and should have won more champions league for that kind of dominance.
I used to think this way. However, it's a bit more complex. None of the clubs own the San Siro stadium. Instead, they rent it. So, for the first game, Milan was the host, with most people in the stands being their fans. For the second, it was the opposite.
The away goals rule didn't make any sense here. On a side note, I like how these Italian defenders (Maldini and Nesta) used to handle situations with dangerous strikers through fight-or-flight mentality, unlike the PL's defenders nowadays who're afraid of tackling Haaland and always choose to flight! They should imitate what Rüdiger did yesterday.

@@kristiansutanto I mean Liverpool’s run to the final was ridiculously easy last year just swings and roundabouts

Don’t forget this Milan team got annihilated both home and away by the worst Chelsea team in the last 30 years. Luck of the draw, nothing more

They both played at home 😂
And yet Inter lost on away goal rule
@@alpFiLa the point was neither of them have won, scored same amount of goals, played on same stadium... That rule was dumbest thing in football
@@alpFiLawhat kind of logic is that ? It is the home ground of both milan teams it was not fair
Yes, this was stupid. Inter purely went out because of the way the matches were scheduled.
I used to think this way. However, it's a bit more complex.

That celebration was crazy 🔥
Yup crazy backflips
@@alpFiLa I always loved acrobatic celebrations like Nani or Auba for example but this was just next level! 🔥 extremely hard to do
I remember watching Milan vs Juve UCL final, since then I love football and AC Milan
It was a boring one, just like the 2019 one. If Sheva scored a disallowed goal, it would have been a different game.

The EPL rules are too soft
The away goals did make sense. Calm down.
Barella, De Bruyne, Bastoni, Halaand, Vincinous deserves to be in the champions league team of the season.
Wow, what a great match🎉
and here is the most ridiculous practice of away goal rules, internet will be broken if this happened now 😂
Forza Milan!
This is why getting rid of away goals was a GREAT idea!
