Coaching college football especially in and around the SEC has to be one of the toughest occupations. I can only imagine how difficult it is for a young coach trying to prove himself with emense pressure from players , fans , media as well as the school and higher ups that determine if you have a job past today. Lane has like most made mistakes climbing the ladder and balancing on the top rung but he also seems to have learned and matured into a respectable coach. I wish him well.

No disrespect to USC, but he was in a much stronger conference. Now he have excuses. The thing I like about Kirby Smart... former assistance coach and then defensive coordinator at Alabama, he didn't cry when Saban yelled at him. That's what Championship coaches does. They try to get the best out of his and her staff. So to my knowledge...Kirby never took it to heart like Kiffin is.
