Absolutely Everything is made Better with a little 'Patina'!!! ~ Love, Love, Love, the gently blended mixtures ~ ALL of Them!!! (It seems like most things in nature are as least multi tones & shades, so I guess that's why I'm loving the more dimensional look, with a gentle touch of color variation).
I love 💘 the way you have grouped the techniques. Seeing you do several items in one technique makes it easier to take in the "how to" part. Does your creativity ever rest? I don't think so. I'm just so glad that you share your talents. Thanks so much.
I personally like a range of projects in one video. Especially this type of DIY. I love the Owls. Great choice to use these products. Thank you for showing us.
Ohhh myyy goshhhh I am loving what you do with the patina and waxes!! Your creativity with blending and layering was fabulous. I'm totally blown away, Yvonne. Absolutely stunning..... everything!
I absolutely LOVE to do faux finishes on my projects! I have found that taking more time and layering paint or products really makes a world of difference. If you want items that look authentically old that's the way to do it. My motto is naturally aged items didn't get that way overnight so recreating that look takes more than dry brushing paint onto an item. Aged items have variations of color on them. The outcome of these techniques makes my heart sing. ❤ I'm so glad you added to those owls. They lost all of that beautiful detail just black. You took it from Halloween to high end decor with a flick of your brush.
Hi Yvonne…. What a lot of work you have been doing with these last few videos….God bless you for all your TALENT for one, but going through your videos and separating techniques for us !!! Dedication and caring ! My goodness !!!! I didn’t comment on the last two…you know I love them all ! But just jumping on to say THANK YOU for all you do and share with us !!! Wishing you a blessed Easter !!! Love and hugs your way ?.💛💛🙏🙏💛💛
I am loving what you are doing. I love that you are keeping the different techniques separate and doing the same techniques in the same videos. Repetition helps to understand and keeps it stored in the brain. I love your channel and you are a wonderful teacher. Thank you so so much for sharing your skills with all of us.
Yvonne, I just have to tell you, you are a beautiful girl. Every time I start watching your vids, I see your beautiful face, that gorgeous red hair, and those dazzling white teeth. God Blessed you with talent, a very kind heart, and physical beauty. Thank you for being here!!
Thank you for being such a beautiful inspiration and wonderful teacher. Your lessons have enabled me and I'm sure, hundreds of people to bring their art form to a brand new level. I'm so excited to try some of your techniques.
Loved the way you did this video, I know we can see you doing this in your other videos but for me it was just more thorough. It takes a bit for things to sink into my head now I’m getting older and this just helped it sink in a bit more so thank you. Looking forward to your next video.
Love the patinas, but prefer new items as I have watched as you do your daily videos. Maybe you could put together a playlist for anyone that would like to see a specific technique. Just a suggestion so everyone gets to see what they are interested in. Love what you do daily and wait for new videos to come out.
I love watching the items pop with the patina accents ! You had so many nice pieces to work with in this video. Inspired me to try the patina techniques
Hubby and I did a road trip and went to the antique capital of Michigan. Love seeing your booths, you do a great job and your prices are very reasonable. Wish we would have ran into you and Chris. Happy Easter.
Yes! I love these recap of techniques videos!! Please keep doing them. Everything in the video today was absolutely gorgeous. I could watch you patina items all day long. I just put in an Amazon order from your list for patinas. I can’t wait to start “playing”.
The Gilder’s Paste also comes in a dark green, called Verdigris, that works awesome with the turquoise Patina color. I love using the 2 of them together on copper to give a realistic patina. They also have a great realistic copper-colored wax to use if you don’t have an actual copper piece.
I can see how you couldn't help yourself. I'd patina my whole house if I could. But that clock and those owls were stunning and the little garden statue went from creepy to cute in one swipe. Happy Easter Yvonne!
So glad for another video focusing on a specific skill, great idea Yvonne! I've been having so much fun with my gilding and finishing waxes. The only disappointment has been the white one from Gilders, the color wasn't as intense as I had hoped.
loved seeing some of these pieces a second time. So, I just ordered a couple things from your link, so I'm excited to try. Gonna try the patina and the rub and buffs! You make it look fun....lol we'll see if mine turn out as cute as yours.
I love how you are splitting up the techniques. Please be sure to do an image transfer (mod podge), and moulds. I find myself searching your videos often for these. Thank you!!
Everything looks great. I have a question about the polyacrylic over wax- so many other people say "wax is always last", but I like the idea of sealing over the wax. Any thoughts?
I really like that you are putting your techniques together, thank you. I am seeing your name popping up in severs of my Facebook painting groups, everyone loves your technique!!! Do you add the wax patina while the paint patina is wet or do you let them dry?
Yes.. I add waxes and patinas together. I keep applying well they are still wet. I find it blends better. Oh.. thank you for letting me know about Facebook.. it warms my ❤️
When you are doing the bird with the 4 colors you started with the 2 paint types and went to the waxes after...but did you allow the paint to dry before you began to blend with the wax or were the paints still wet? Thanks!

I would also try spray painting something brown instead of black and also add some greenish color, with some of the others, for that aged look

I’ve never had a problem sealing it in
Lol you say greenish blue is that turquoise? I love turquoise 💙🪶

Yes.. I just did a something similar coming in my haul and makeover tomorrow video..
@@GingerChickRehab thank you! Can’t wait! Can you recommend a curl product line for me? I have curly hair similar to yours 😘😘😘
When you are doing the bird with the 4 colors you started with the 2 paint types and went to the waxes after...but did you allow the paint to dry before you began to blend with the wax or were the paints still wet? Thanks!
It’s wet still
Thank you! 😊
Can you give exact name of these two waxes. I can't find them on Amazon. Thought I may be putting in wrong description in search box. Thks
If you go in the description it is linked in her Amazon store.
Does this Patina work on glass objects.
❤😊😊😊
So does the wax completely dry?
Yes it does
Ok needs a sealer?
I do most of the time.. it definitely a question I’m not sure of the and myself. But to be safe I seal over them
How well are these new style painted items selling?
What is the name of the rust one please?
How can I achieved an old rusted look but not patina? 😊
I myself can’t say I’ve actually achieved what I consider an authentic looking rust. With patinas yes.
What is the name of the patina?
They are linked in my description box. You can check them out there
