while diesel probably won't happen, the us is getting over its wagon prejudice. there's a luxury market for basically every type of car, and car guys here love fast wagons. they sell the e class estate here anyways.
Gorgeous motor but I'd take the GLE & save £20K !, love my 2015 GLE its one amazing vehicle living up here in Derbyshire/ Snakepass in the UK , nothing phases it & I'd buy another in a heartbeat!, Great video
Loving it. Looks nice inside and out, and that engine would be my choice; great blend between everyday performance and fuel economy. Also, amazing locations were shown in the video! Does anyone know where that lake is shown in the beginning? Gorgeous!
How come you get the chicken-feed engine version? Here in UK there is only ONE choice - a V6 diesel with around 250 BHP. Elsewhere they get E450 with even more oomph......
and that buyer is someone who wants the e-class but requires more clearance like in england over un-even surfaces and speed humps or drive ways which can catch the standard models belly as being a sporty car rides low.. pity about the much higher price apart from the suspension its the same car price should be nearly equal with standard E Class car
Since when 200 bhp and over 400nm is not enough? The perception changed big time... I have a 2012 Passat 2.0 TDI with 140 bhp and 320nm and it is more than enough to break your neck with the torque down low.
@@vecernicek2 then get a hybrid car or electric so long as the car does 45mpg around town etc that does me on a run 55mpg would be good too diesels only make sense if your moving long distances people who buy them for short runs are not iding the car or finances any good or the environment
Rashik Sharar The whole point is that they are astically pleasing... also how can they be fake? Just because they are not connected directly to the pipe? Exhaust moves so with this design... tips can not just be connected , it's that simple
55uniwega yes it's your opinion to say you don't like it but it's not an opinion to say it looks cheap without elaborating/justifying your view. Here's why it's not a cheap looking or feeling interior Besides having quality materials it also has a nicer more elgant looking interior IMO... It has bigger screens (dual twelve inch screens with amazing resolution)... It has ambient lighting and perfume dispenser which sets the tone of the cabin ... not to mention stone massaging seats... So it's by no means cheap, far from it... Rather these features make the interior feel premium So I have no problem mate if you don't like it... That is your personal taste, but to say it's cheap is rather narrow minded
Wow, that road is magnificent.
A luxury diesel wagon... Yeah USA will never see anything like that
Probably there would be a V6 E400 for the US market
You already have the Audi Diesel wagon that has more power than this

Such a beautiful country
I'll wait for the 4x4 squared with portal axles and the new 6 cylinder engine. 17 inches of lift can't be bad.

+Christian W - location is near Emerald just outside of Melbourne. Glad you enjoyed it!
Awesome, thank you!

Run flats and no spare on an "all-terrain" vehicle?
My dreamcar
"All terrain" LOL! It should be called Mercedes-Benz E-Class "Bumpy Dirt road". Nice interior though.
its so beautiful

Amazing review.
I really like station wagons but they are just so darn expensive compared to other options.

I would replace the axel with a portal axel.... otherwise i think you are wasting what it has got.
Where was this review filmed?
+rodsterau - near Emerald just outside of Melbourne.
Thanks, I was thinking Gembrook, so I wasn't too far away. Beautiful spot
It does look stunning.
is he saying "A" or "E" ..??? :/
E - 'eeeey' as in bee
A - 'aaaay' as in hay
When an Australian says 'A', you know about it.
haha.. bit confusing.. but understood! Thankyou XD
I'll keep my Skoda Scout, and the 40-50K saving
cupholders wow
In Europe GLE is more expencive.
Nice car but I would rather get a Toyota Fortuner or the new Isuzu Mux and save 40 or 50k to buy a new boat.
this thing will sell high in pothole countries
I don't think I like it... the biggest problem with all E-class models is the existence of the pretty much brilliant C-class
"The E-Class All Terrain is strictly a 5 seater" :(
+Richard Hamilton - yeah, we are sad too.
Definitely not as good looking as volvo's or audi's "off-road" variants.
Torrey B but interior wise its definitely better than them
did not even go off road!
if you can afford a brand new e-class i think you dont care about fuel
dD Lithuania unless you are trying to live responsibly
But for somebody who drives longer distances, it's more comfortable, becouse you don't need stop that much
what if you are buying it used ......... lol

2:56 Already looks dated..
km/h but inches and feet when describing his lenght. Just stick with the metric system you aussies, please.
Looks like a hearse
It costs more than a gla??, of course it does... its twice the car....
Ghastly engine...needs a V6 at least...
In Germany u have the opportunity to get the E350d All Terrain, with a V6
@@ToadStar That's more like it...
looks ugly mate
Fake exhausts in a luxury car? No thanks. -_-

Copying Audi hehehehe
New Interiors from Mercs are utter crap... Looks like cheap phone compared to Iphone (BMW, Porsche).
55uniwega you're blind
Nah man not really, its up to taste and I don't like it :)
