Hi, Thanks for the introduction of these two cameras. I have seen footage from the C300 II 120fps slowmotion, that looks very soft in the image. And the I have also seen some 120 fps footage that look okey. Did you manage to see anything like this soft image on the C300 II during slow-motion recording in 100-120 fps? Thanks /C
+Conny Fridh Canon 120fps uses a sensor crop, so using low quality glass can magnify lens deficiencies in sharpness. Higher quality glass won't be as soft when magnifying, so the effect would be diminished. To be clear though, we haven't tested this. That's just my thought on the most likely culprit!
WOW. Not sure if it's the color correction that was done, but the finished C300 image looks SO MUCH BETTER than the finished FS7's. Skin tones, highlight rolloff, shadow tones, everything. Anybody else feel this way?

Shame the examples weren't in 4k. apart from the price, there's so many other benefits to the FS7. I love Canon kit and have a large collection of Canon glass & cameras, but Sony have pulled of something very special here. Talking of price, you can buy two FS7's for the price of a C300mkII so for multi-camera productions, that's a cost effective no brainer. Like all cameras, you need to own one to get the best from it, and as always, its not so much the camera, but the person behind it that captures wow factor footage - the FS7 is more than capable of capturing stunning images - the rest is up to you ;-) btw, I really hate of to the side camera technique - its not clever, and it looks stupid - sorry!
+Michel Satoer He said the the C300 has EXTRA ND filters that the FS7 doesn't have. The FS7 does have ND filters (3) but not as many compared to the C300 MKII that has 5.
It is a tad perplexing that you left out the fact that the E-mount flange distance allows ones to literally adapt any lens produced in the past sixty-five years to it... I can use my Leica, Zeiss, Voigtlander, Bronica and Canon glass on it which is an amazing option. Regardless, it was a fair review otherwise... cheers! :)
this video is a review of c 300 where is the comparison you didn't mention the features of the fs7 I saw a lot of comparison of this two cameras and I I realise they the sony is better value for the money it's 8k cheaper and have many features better than c300
A word on shooting; You guys may think it's cool to shoot subjects talking on camera, from off camera angles, but I think it looks idiotic, distracting, and downright unprofessional ! You guys seem to want to draw attention away from what you're talking about to how cool and innovative a camera operator you *think* you guys are ! The joke's on you guys !
What an ignorant thing to do stupid ! Learn to take some practical criticism and learn that as a camera operator, you are there to facilitate the subject matter and not draw attention to yourself and try and make folks look at your "hey ! Look what I can do attitude !" Stupid Fuck Head !
I strongly disagree. Shooting a speaker with an eyeline off camera has got to be one of the most distracting examples of film making out there. It shows a heavy, pretentious hand, who's just trying to be cool ! It's immature. You're the ass hole who's dumb enough to fall into that trap and refuses to see it any other way.

I really liked your scenes with the BB gun in that 'A Christmas Story' .
Were the grades done by eye or with LUTs? The Sony 4k and 1080 look identical color wise, the Canon 4k and 1080 have a noticeable shift.

try the samsung nx1 6.5 k sensor in it 120fps slow mo under 2000
I picked up the c300 after the price drop. I think the 16k price point was too high... The 11k is more fair.
