I am Amanda from Hong Kong. I make easy and practical cantonese learning videos for complete beginners to intermediate level.
My full time job is a flight attendant. I enjoy studying foreign languages. My job allows me to visit many places and meet many people. So that I have more chances to practice what I have learned.
Due to the covid, I haven't fly regularly for over a year. I find UA-cam is extremely helpful for maintaining my language proficiency. One day, out of curiosity, I looked for cantonese learning channels. I was so surprised that there are so little and most of the good one are even from overseas. That's why I started "5 minute cantonese" on 2020.

Thank you for another great lesson! Maybe one of your next videos can talk about things related to cars? Like, how to say driver's license, fill the tank with gas, use a turn signal, traffic light, etc.

Could you, please, tell how to say 'to find a job'?
For example, 'My friend has found a new job'
I really tried looking it up in dictionaries, but couldn't find anything 😂

搵工 wan2 gung1 means to look for a job. For past tense, you can say wan2 zo2
So, my friend has found a new job.
      我朋友搵咗新工
      ngo5 peng4 jau5 wan2 zo2 san1 gung1
