If you do the math, You don't save much because you pay alot of extra amount while purchasing the vehicle. Nexon have 5 lakhs difference in it's petrol and EV car.
Not being offensive let's come to calculations Petrol variant Nexon car price is 8-9 lakhs EV variant Nexon car price is 18-19 lakhs Almost 10 lakhs of differences 👆👆 So as per u, you are stating that u saved Rs 1lakh Considering petrol price on an avg of Rs85/- as it's 1 year calculation, So if your car give mileage of 15km/L then 1200 litres petrol u poured in your car, car driven 18000 kms in 1 year. So, Rs85×1200 litres = Rs102000 Same for 8 years Rs 816000 approx Then boss where is the saving????? Boss here u have already paid 10 lakhs extra for your car in advance otherwise you could have filled petrol from that money. Another thing, if u plan to go for somewhere covering Kms 200 or 150 one way then u have to think twice for returning on same day or if u don't get place to charge. After 8 years no warranty and battery u have to change which is very costly, so at the end no saving plus electricity bill u paid for charging. Few things 1. Electric cars initial pick up is always good. I have an old Reva and it still pulls fast in signals. Even on Highways it zips past cars. 2. There is the question of Battery replacement cost. It would be around 5 lakhs for the Tata Nexon. Now there is another way of looking at it. Too much fast charging can affect the batteries and they decay faster 4. There are many ways to conserve more power and that 260 can be stretched by 25% atleast from what I heard so 300 can also be achieved. 5. To me this is a transient phase and over the next 5-10 years we should see something coming up with say a 1000 km range. That would be real start of alternate revolution plus it will be affordable. Anyway let's see how this goes
1000 kms is too much. That's not going to happen in the next 10 years. Just imagine the weight of the car. What will and should happen is more charging stations. A premium hatchback will have around 35-39 L tank in India. With 16-18kpl mileage, you're bound to get more than 600kms range but rarely people will ever fill their tanks to the brim. Electric vehicles reduces pollution? Average 70% of electricity in india is made from coal powered thermal plants which are major polluters and some major threats for india because of electric vehicles are as follows - 1) it will lead to vast unemployment because of moving parts, an EV has only 15-20 moving parts which are majorly made from plastics and only large OEMs can make these because of large capital requirements in machinery whereas in an IC engine car there are over 2000 moving parts which are made from steel pressings, aluminium castings, die castings, forgings, pressings, etc which are made from small workshops and factories and also give no employment to steel sector and steel traders. 2) Petrol pump workers, owners, oil refineries workers, what about them? 3) Small workshop owners like engine repairs and roadside small unorganized shops will get unemployed. 4) Fortune 500 companies like BPCL,HPCL,IOL, they all earn huge profits. 5) In India, in high temperatures like 45 degrees in north india, do you think people will have the patience to charge vehicles plus in traffic jams in metro cities like Gurgaon, bangalore, delhi if your battery gets drained how will you charge the vehicle stuck in traffic in between roads. 6) In EVs charging time is a major concern and even companies like tata power have said that regular Fast charging will have major ill effects on battery life and everyone cannot charge their vehicles at home. 7) EVs range decrease time to time and battery life comes to an end in 8-10 years because of this RESALE of the vehicle becomes very Low. 8) Recently in Tata Nexon Ev case, owners claim only 220 KM range under normal conditions against 312 Km range claimed and approved by ARAI. 9) 90% of lithium and cobalt mines which are the main raw materials in Lithium battery are owned by china. 10) Future technologies are Bio fuels like Bio Ethanol, CNG, LPG, Hybrid vehicles. 11) Please don’t disrupt the auto industry and it’s partner components and chemical industry like engine oil, etc also as it gives employment to millions in india. 12) If you are concerned[rl1] for the environment buy Cng or hybrid and also support the auto component industry and its counterparts. 13) Many EV startups like REVOLT are just assembling parts imported from China. 14) I am not saying to not buy EVs but if possible buy an EV only if you have short distance like 20-30kms daily. 15) Think about the unemployment for once if EVs will dominate. The steel sector, auto component sector, oil sector, chemical sector, repair and service workshops, moving parts components like filters, etc, small steel traders, small workshop owners and unorganised sector will face Plant Shutdowns because of Evs. 16) THIS IS NOT MY ASSUMPTION BUT THE CALCULATIONS MADE BY SIAM AND AUTOCOMPONENTS MANUFACTURERS ASSOCIATION OF INDIA’S DATA. I AM FROM AUTO INDUSTRY AND HAVE DONE A VAST STUDY. ELECTRIC VEHICLES WILL PROVE TO BE A BANE FOR INDIA.

Any future plans to extend charging stations on highway 4. Other companies charging stations compatible? I mean other companies provide battery cars so can I charge my car over their stations if tata ones not available.
Electric vehicles are already pricey, moreover the cost of battery is critically high which has to be replaced in 6-7 years(5-6 lakhs). There aren't enough charging stations, then what's the benefit other than eco friendly. Please correct me, if I am wrong.

I didn’t understand that benchmark thing on battery degradation … like is it 90%, 80% compared to day1 ? What is the acceptable degradation within 8 years warranty period as per Tata failing which they’ll replace the battery pack ??
1) To set up charging point in house, how much kilo watt connection is required (they say the charger is 7.2kw) and how long does it take to charge. 2) can this be charged in a 15amp socket at house, and how long does it take.
My Daily driving is around 130 km. And once or twice I have to drive interdistrict ending up to 200 km on those days. Will this EV be beneficial? And if yes will I need to charge it everyday? And will it affect battery life? How much is service cost? What happens after the battery warranty ends?

Very nice video. Lot's of improvement required. 1)Proper ev platform needs to develop. 2) durable chassis ,so you can keep car for long time even after changing battery twice. 3) solid state battery, graphene battery required. Longe range like 1000km to be there 4) battery aluminium air, hydrogen fuel cell will be again options. 5) affordable ev technology , reliable technology , awareness in mechanical services needs improvement. Chargers are too costly. 6) aerodynamic design, cruise control, fresh interior, more colourful options,"hot deep galvanized Steel" and rust free technology required... 7) more practical approach required for indian market where people buy products for long time. Outstanding battery and it's BMS controller required. Software is having slow response. Needs improvement

Fantastic review !! Thank you so much for making this .. I am planning to bjy an EV and this just further cements my thoughts . .
@Shubham So are you suggesting I wait for the other options to come up in the market? I have reserched on the TATA nexon ev and it suits my ask I am a point to point traveller for 5 days of the week. . and a weekend traveller to a max range of 150kms with a farmhouse to charge at. I will welcome your viwes further please.
@Shubham Short videos you can hire cars for long trips instead.
@Shubham Short videos English only. Don't understand hindi. This video was a clickbait with english title.
Rachit Sir, can you please tell how much does Nexon EV cost with the government subsidy on road.
Ex showroom price is around 14 to 17 lakhs.
ex showroom price will remain the same. You'll get subsidy on The rto charges and Road tax.
It'll cost you around 15 for the base model and 18 for the top. approx
In Delhi: No RTO and Road Tax plus 1.5 lacs subsidy ... which makes Nexon EV XZ plus around 14 Lacs.
If you're in Maharashtra then c.2.5 lacs less on the ex-showroom cost till Dec 2021
@@anubhavsharma90 14 lacs in Delhi? Are you sure? - CarDekho is giving a quote of almost 18 lacs on road.
Two truly national companies made his dream come true.

Rachit make review on TATA XPRESS T EV
Same tigor ev toh hai?
Is it a good vehicle for someone who travels for 100 km daily in heavy traffic area.
Really considering to buy it.
Bravo Ankit, Saras Che Bhai thank you for sharing the detailed video on this bill to boost the EV buyers.
Please cover these points when possible
1. Climbing hill stations / mountain rides
2. Heard that when coming down from high place you can charge battery
3. Any future plans to extend charging stations on highway
It's does depend on usage. Everyone don't use the cars in a same way ok.
@@sparkly3989 My friend, in the cost of the battery one can run the car for 75,000kms. I am just trying to understand where does the cost saving come in. Moreover fuel we fill in installments, how is one supposed to manage 5lakh in one go are there any schemes available?
@@vaibhavnarain9756 you can get subsidy of extended up to 2.5 lakhs
It will when we will have Al-Air battery😏
Excellent video.. Ankit u need to start vlogging.. Good presence, command, u killed it cheers
I PERSONALLY CHOOSE NEXON DIESEL OR PETROL THAN EV BECAUSE DIFF. B/W TOP MODELS IS 3-4 LAKH AND IN 3-4 LAKH I CAN BUY OR OWN A 2ND HAND CNG VEHICLE FOR CITY USE AND AFTER SPENDING 12-13 LAKH I DONT WANT TO TAKE ANY STRESS ON MY MIND FOR CHARGING AND OTHER THINGS 😊😊
You have to pay insurance and servicing extra on second hand car and extras space for parking, besides driving an old conked out car
Excellent owner's review.
Appreciate Ankit for an honest review which has cleared lot of doubts I had on EV. Expansion of Charging infrastructure on Highways & small towns will boost sales of EV. Lot of developments are taking place in this front, recent one being the signing of agreement between TATA & Hindustan Petroleum, Tata will instal Charging stations in HP fuel stations.
Thanks Rachit for the interview
it will great sucess, if some how automobile makes can integrate solar panel on cars to increase the range.
Welll done Mr Ankit, u have supported & used a branded EV Nexax vehicle EV model we appreciated your risk cover and fast charging popup stations unavailability between Wapi and Surat & then your native house, your dream is to have charging with Solar systen in near coming years, fantastic ,well done 👍👍👍😀😀
Future is EV...thanks for getting us a detailed Owner review
M confused ….
1. 10:15 Slow / traffic drive increases range compared to fast driving
2. 14:50 Slow / traffic city range 190km & highway free drive range is 250km
Hi sir, thanks for this review this was an actual very informative , practical video. Hope you grow more faster .
I didn’t understand that benchmark thing on battery degradation … like is it 90%, 80% compared to day1 ? What is the acceptable degradation within 8 years warranty period as per Tata failing which they’ll replace the battery pack ??
Thanks Rachit and Motoroctane.... It was a good review and much much needed....
1) To set up charging point in house, how much kilo watt connection is required (they say the charger is 7.2kw) and how long does it take to charge.
2) can this be charged in a 15amp socket at house, and how long does it take.
29:10 Gujarati and Stock Market go hand in hand 👍
My Daily driving is around 130 km. And once or twice I have to drive interdistrict ending up to 200 km on those days. Will this EV be beneficial? And if yes will I need to charge it everyday? And will it affect battery life? How much is service cost? What happens after the battery warranty ends?
Our next owner is one who drives Nexon EV daily for 110kms - we will take it live in August only.
Galti karli yaar
Just this Friday my father bought sonet.
I told him to buy nexon EV, but concerns made us buy Kia.
Still it’s a damn good car - nexon ev
Will suffice with Kia for now it’s decent too
Super Video! I guess TATA should produce such videos to increase awareness towards their EV. Eventually this is gonna help their sells. Kudos to the TEAM MOTOR OCTANE.
Yes Tata should come with more videos highlighting charging facilities on highway for EV vehicles. Location, charging time, facility available
Charging time was missing in this review.
Overall best review 😀👍
Battery replacement cost should also be considered? I personally don't like the different color strips on Nexon. Hope that is changed soon.
Thanks Ankit and Rachit for this amazing and detailed experience sharing.
Very nice video.
Lot's of improvement required.
1)Proper ev platform needs to develop.
2) durable chassis ,so you can keep car for long time even after changing battery twice.
3) solid state battery, graphene battery required. Longe range like 1000km to be there
4) battery aluminium air, hydrogen fuel cell will be again options.
Nexon ev aur petrol ki price difference aap pehele hi pay kar dete ho
Jaha nexon p top apko 13L padegi waha ev toh 16L arround ajaegi
Upr se jabtak infrastructure nai ban jata petrol jesa hassle-free ni hoga
Thoda lamba jane k liye 100 chiz sochna padega
But in 2 years I am sure infrastructure acha hojaega aur ev's lena bht sahi hoga someone who has 1 vehical already unke liye ye car abhi best hoga for city run
So that we can contribute in controlling pollution also wo petroleum ka price ka tension khtm
I really that in future 3-4year I will purchase one ev
Btw kiddos to Tata that they have introduced good thing to india wo b unki sari best cars m ev option hai 😊
If you have gone through my comment do let me know your opinion on that price saving thing ap kya sochte hai
I can be wrong so jarur let me know

Understood everything about EVs why to buy? How to drive ?and all…
But only 1 question, unlike other cars, how can we calculate an EV’s resale value? Say for eg, i wish to sell an EV with a reason being anything . So how will be the EV’s fair price be calculated for selling it of. And what should I buyer of a second hand ev must check while buying an ev?
Save environment , Save Earth , save fuel buy electric cars
I have a question, I own a renault kwid automatic, 4 years old. I am thinking for buying tata tiago ev (to be launched next year). To save money on petrol. Also because i want to try a Tata car. Is it a good idea to sell and buy new ev?
What about the replacement cost of the battery, and in how many years after purchase
That's where EV become costlier
As far as I know
Battery replacement after 6-8 years
Or 1.5L km
Replacement cost 3L as of today
May be more or less after some years
Sir if we book car in 2021 and we if we get in 2022 then the subsidy will reduce in maharashtra.... please reply sir
Rachit please make a video on charging points available on highways..
Hi Ankit, very nice of you to give the feedback, I want to know how to control the car when u r on a slope? As it does not have clutch will it start rolling down or what? how does it work in slopes?

@@praveenbadagi4285 kona cost 7 lakhs more...😐🙄
Thanku rachit and ankit sir for clearing my doubt. What was the price on road?
Best Ev Ever.... Nexon🔥
Kindly guide me on whether there are any chances of battery degradation due to which there would be a range reduction issue in some years after owning the car (just like in our mobile phones).
the only question i have is with new government subsidy, is it only for XM or even for XZ+? and how much does it cut down to?
I think this subsidy applies to below 15 lakhs ex-showroom
I from village of Rajasthan… can I go for ev nexon …. Because i have solar on grid last one year… I am the Frist person for it my village.. and it’s success…plz suggest can I can go for ev
You are doing great job taking review of car owners
It's something new
What is charging time at home and fast charging point? Will it affect battery life like phone's if you forget to switch off after 100% charge is done!?
Budget is tight so waiting for 5-9L budget EV cars🌝
Wait for a while ... Save more .. do smart investments and increase your budget ... coz Practical EV's with good and reliable battery packs are not going to be cheaper than that.
Go for tigor in that case.

*Charging time at surat
*earthing issues with charging point if he encountered anything
*what speed he drives his car on highways
*Tata connectivity charges and plan
once evs reaches 1000km range per charge, then no looking back.
80 lakh rupees Tesla barely manages 400 KM.
@@veekay1803 400 miles not km
@@veekay1803 400 mile range
@@veekay1803 640km , They are also developing battery for 800+km and fast charging. Even if Indian companies give 400km range and reduce charging time it will be great.
@@kaiwalyaghotkar832 I think Tesla could easily give more range if they wanted to. But they don't want to compromise on performance at all.
Look at the Tesla cars. They sell all wheel drive instead of front wheel drive like ZS EV or Nexon EV. Also, the torque and power figures are much higher than these two.
Anyway, MG is planning to bring a 500km range model soon. And although there is a rumour of Altroz EV with 500km range, but I doubt it since current model of Tata is only 300km so a jump of 200km at once seems...rumour only.
Thanks a ton Rachit for this owner's review on Nexon EV👍🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
Honestly he loves his EV and honestly he loves to talk 😂
And you love to say Honestly in every sentence 😂
Hi MotorOctane,
I own Maruti Suzuki Wagon R VXi planning to change to EV after looking at petrol prices. I am from Mangalore, TATA Nexon is my first preference but i have doubts.
1. Pricing of EV: after FAME II there is not much discounts given in Karnataka should I wait for a while so the pricing may come down?
2. As I stay in Mangalore its not a big city like Mumbai or Bangalore most of the places i visit some hilly areas with steep hill climb even AMT cars have difficult in hill climb is Nexon perform well in this condition?
3. My usage is minimum because of petrol prices I use two wheeler for daily commute. Is it worth buying nexon?
Look forward to your reply.
Thank you.
