Just signed up for the MammothMarch in Dinosaur Valley State Park in Feb 2025. I've never done that kind of mileage. I'm working on yoga and walking the neighborhood and getting to my favorite hiking trails when time allows. Fingers crossed! YOLO!
I just got done the 20 miler in Delaware Death Valley. It was my 2nd time completing it. Congratulations to both of you. They are suppose to have sweepers that follow the last group. I wonder what happened? If you were last on the trail, someone should have been following you. I noticed this year there was a notation that if you can't complete it by sunset, to kindly drop out. I would have been scared to hike where we did in the dark. Anyway, if you do it again, I would suggest starting earlier. We started at 0730 though it was probably near 8 by the time we got on the trail. Again, congrats to both of you. It is quite the accomplishment and no easy feat. My feet are killing me LOL
That was a delightful video! Congratulations on finishing! I like how you incorporated the 3D map along with your footage and narration. I was very proud of you seeing it through to the end. Next year I look forward to seeing the follow up video when you finish in the daylight!

Great job! I am doing my first mammoth in Feb but I likely won’t train specifically for it, but I’ll keep up my normal workout routine.
Best of luck. I would advise a change into a fresh pair of socks midway to help with blisters.
