- Lempeng Pisang & Jemput Pisang (Malaysian-style Banana Pancakes & Fried Banana Balls)
An All Time Favourite Evening Snack by Su’s Cookbook ❤️
2 in 1 Recipe Ingredients:
10 ripe bananas
1 cup plain flour (200-210gm)
3 tbsp sugar
½ cup grated coconut (4-5 heaped tablespoon)
Salt to taste
Oil for frying
Some extra flour can be added if necessary
First, mash the bananas with a fork or potato masher until soft.
Then, add a pinch of salt, flour, sugar, and coconut and mix until everything is well combined.
Set it aside for 20 minutes.
1. Steps for Lempeng Pisang/Pancake:
Heat up a pan over medium-low flame. Drizzle some oil. Once hot, lower the heat and pour 1-2 spoons of the banana mix/batter.
Flip after one side is cooked & browned.
Repeat the process.
2. Steps for Jemput Pisang/ Banana Balls:
Heat up oil in a wok over medium-low flame.
Drop batter balls into the hot oil.
Fry until cooked and lightly browned.
